How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

When I called the number, it says it is disconnected now. It is definitely a scam
Is there someone out there so naive that these shmucks can still make money with this flagrant scam?
It this the same people that call from 801-whatever that other number was? They are calling my cell phone and they should be hunted down and tormented...
This call came on my cell phone. Tried to call the number back and it is disconnected.
caller left no message
Got a call from 505-544-0540 but did not answer the phone in time. I attempted to call the number about a minute later and I got a recorded message stating the number that I called was disconnected or no longer in service. Very strange to get a call from a phone number that was supposedly disconnected or no longer in service.
i just got a call from this number. i guess it's a car warrenty company or something. funny thing is, i don't even have my lisence or my permit yet. i'm too young. haha.
I answered the phone, and got to talk to somebody, they wanted the make,and model of the car, and all that stuff, I said you should know all of that, THEY HANG UP SO FAST MY IS EAR STILL RINGING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have twice gotten an automated message from these guys, and neither time did they say who they were. The second time, I went through their system to get a live person, and asked what company it was. I was told it was G.A. Warranty, which is presumably Great American Warranty. When I asked how they got my phone number, the guy hung up on me.
Definitely a scam.
THEY CALLED MY MOBILE NUMBER. JUST NUMBER SHOWED UP. WHEN I CALLED BACK NUMBER IS DISCONNECTED.
caller didn't leave a message. Probably wrong number. Perhaps similar to previous poster, I've had several calls from car dealerships with wrong number.
