Who Called Us

Having Caller ID I have the benefit of seeing most caller's names and thus most often do not answer the phone. The "Lower Interest" (Ph.# 503-902-8480) call received on Sept. 14, 2012 was the first one. However, they did not leave a message. Unfortunately, too often they start calling many, many more times after that! I put the number on my Restricted Calls list using my Cox Communication options.

just for grins, I decided to press 1 to talk to someone about lowering my interest. The phone rang and rang. I left it ringing for over 15 minute while I did something else. No one answered, but hopefully they pay by the minute.

they never stop callen. don't do no good to complain. don't know body know who they are and the govt aint going to help cause they are busy re-electing that socialist dude.

Same as "TN" below. I have used their automated removal method numeroud times but they just keep on calling. Will report them to DO NOT CALL REGISTRY AGAIN.

I have actually disconnected this number......HA HA.......but I still get caller I.D. on my Dish Network. See what happens, Ma Bell, when you don't fix crap like this. I am no longer a customer of land line services!

Comes up on caller i.d. as " Lower Interest " - called on 5/25/12 at 12:26 pm.

Same as everyone else - I get the same exact :11 second voicemail; "...press 1 to lower your interest rate press 3 to be removed..." I never answer and it seems that even if you press 3 you get no result(s). So far I have calls (with the same exact voicemail) from the following numbers:
(503) 902-8480
(407) 434-9999
(321) 305-9999

They use a variation of numbers from the same prefixes (902, 434 and 305) with the 434 prefix being the most common.

We receive calls daily from this number offering to reduce your credit card debit as long as you have $4,000 in total credit card debt currently. You are offered the opportunity to opt out of future calls - by pressing #3. I have done this numerous times - but they continue to call. When you select # 1 a person answers - when you ask to speak with a supervisor they hang up on you. When you ask to have your number removed from their call list - they hand up on you.

This is the 'Rachel at Credit Card Services' call - over and over again. I read the post in the comments below, and am reporting the call to the FTC and to the Attorney General in my state. I'm intrigued by the 5/14 call with information in the 'Caller ID' field - could it be the address of the computer making the call?

Phone Number Report: I have received more than 150 (I have them documented) calls from these criminals. I have filed more that 50 complaints with the FTC but due to the volume of these scammers I don't think they will ever stop any of them. I find that I get great enjoyment by pressing 1 and talking to one of their "reps". I have a phony name, credit card number, security code and social security number that I use. The only legitimate number that I give them is the customer service number from a card that I no longer use since they raised my rates. I try to ask the criminals as many questions as possibe to keep them on the phone as long as I can. The scammers seem to get upset once they finally figure out that THEY are getting scammed. I guess they think their time is more valuable than mine. There are two guys behind this scam and they have a slew of corporations, many of them defunct. I searched using the name “American Debt Negotiators” and found the name of the Registered Representative was a guy named RAN BARNEA, aca RAN DAVID BARNEA, aca DAVID R BARNEA. He is also listed as the president of a whole slew of other active corporations. The other guy is DANIEL T. POST. This stuff is all public record. Here is a list of the active Florida corporations and the corporate officers that I simply copied and pasted here. The FTC complaint forms are worthless. Just like the Do Not Call list.

@Irate,you need to fill out the complaint form with the FTC or these tapeworms will be in business forever.The form is there on the National Registry Do Not Call List,but you have to fill this form out to put and end to these out house dwellers,

We,all know who this idiot is and her bunch.Keep filing complaints with the do not call registry and make sure you fill out the form on these idiots or?They will stay in business and keep bothering you.

They call from different numbers all the time. Credit Card Services. Lower your credit card interest. When I did talk to them they hung up on me.

Spam caller. Tried calling back via Google Voice and was received by a British recording, "The number you have called is unavailable..."

This is ridiculous that these callers can continue without the government doing anything for them VIOLATING the "DO NOT CALL LIST". My number has been on that do not call list since the date it began. Another piece of proof that the government doesn't do shit!!

this company calls from various numbers......I am sure it is a scam....I do NOT have credit cards...... if you report them from one number then they just call from
a different area code......I have reported CARD SERVICES at least 6 times to the DO NOT CALL LIST. they just call from different number....PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO GET THIS STOPPED........

So, what's the purpose of the DNC list?

all they do is ring and if you answer, there is no response. I blocked it. got at least three calls from this number in the last month with always no response when answering the call.

Lower Interest rates

I let the answering machine pick up and the I picked up the phone. Kept hammering about lower interests. I don't even have a Credit card! Then it said press 3 to not to call anymore and I pressed it. They banged the phone in my ear.

No message was left but similar calls about getting a lower interest rate on my credit cards have been received. We do not have any credit cards!!

Usual message about lowering interest rates. When I pressed "3" to be taken off their list, got dead air. But unlike most of these calls, when I called back the number I actually got a number that was in service and a message asking me to enter my phone number to be taken off their call list. Don't know if it was unwise, but since they have my number already and call incessantly, I entered it. Not much hope it will help anything.

Thankfully they called my Google Voice number. Blocked forever!

Sales call about lowering interest rates. These scumbags call repeatedly even though we have been on the state and national Do Not Call lists for years!
