Automated call made/programmed to sound like a real person. Delay in response and voice cadence gives it away as a computer. Always the same voice. Gives you option to be put on do not call list but they continue to call even after DNC request. Very annoying.
They called once yesterday and again twice today. Apparently it is not good enough to ignore them, they just keep calling until you do answer. Took the third call and wound up talking to a robot call screener giving the company name as "Family Protection". The deal is they want to give you a "free" security system in exchange for being able to place a sign in our yard! (In how many juristictions would that sign be illegal!) I got transfered to an agent who then tried to set up an appointment for someone to come out to qualify us (or something) for the installation. I couldn't hold back any more and blasted the agent. (Didn't seem to phase her.)
She said the company name was "Maximum Security". I would not be surprised if all the names are bogus...

Called at 9:45PM!!! Picked up... dead air. B**TARDS! We, too, are on DNC list ever since it was begun.

Someone from a home alarm company. Hung up. Waste of time and cell phone minutes. Looks like the DNC list doesn't mean anything to them.
