Callers claim to be Ann from Political Opinions of America politicalopinionsofamerica.org or other lies. If you contact them in any way, such as ''Take us off your list'' opt-out online or by dialing 1, 2 or 9 then you are instead validating that a human ear is responding to the Turing Test and placed permanently ON their SUCKERS LIST. The only valid information on their website is a regurgitated gallup.com RSS newsfeed, another trick to appear legitimate. Nowhere on the site is there a telephone number or address or even a way to engage their services = RED FLAG!
''Political Survey'' is their excuse to circumvent the National Do Not Call regulations. They claim if I take the 30 second survey I'd receive a free 2 day cruise to the Bahamas or a gift card. Truth is - hard sell of condo-timeshare! There are actually two scams here, the initial cold-call canvassers who get paid by reserving your ''free vacation +$185 port fees'', spend spree your credit card while the high pressure vacation rental condominium sales crew who trap you on a cruise from hell as they loot your vacant home.

I picked up only because it could have been a call regarding prescription glasses ordered on Internet. It wasn't and no one answered.

Got a call from this number and did NOT answer it. I called the number back and pressed 1 to be taken off the list for any future survey calls.

I got a recording that said it was a political questionaire. Touch one to participate touch 9 to be removed from their call list. I guess we'll see.

I got a call from this number and didnt answer. Called them back about five mins after they called and its Political Opinions of America...an automated message. It said to press 1 if you didnt want to participate in any future surveys and to be permanently removed from their call list so thats what I did.

Annoying, Annoying, Annoying. And don't you hate like they always sound like their so far away from the phone....its really weird.

took a 3 question politcial survey, then was transferred to "Caribbean Cruise Line" to redeem my cruise for 2. let them get all the way to the end...the chick was selling it pretty hard, then they said they needed to secure $120 for the "international waters" US government fee and that would solidfy my voucher to redeem my 2 tickets anytime within 18 months. said thanks but no thanks. people gotta eat right. no shame in scamming idiots to earn a buck. thats what america is all about. schmucks and bucks.

The caller ID said PO America. I picked up and said hello twice, there was someone there but no one replied. Plan on using an air horn on these nuts the next time they call.

to Resident47 Well whoever you think you are, you also know that telemarketers and such are required by LAW yes by LAW to provide their identification. Most all of these calls ARE tele-crooks! Those that reach an answering maching have initiated a call and are required to leave ID info. If not it is HARASSMENT! Those thugs that recklessly turn a call machine loose to do mass calling ought to be locked away and castrated. Most of those callers that claim to be legal calling because they are non-profit are either lying scammers or those that actually pocket and PROFIT from a high percentage of sucker donated funds. Also LAW states it is illegal to solicit a wireless device period! Do Not Call means DO NOT CALL PERIOD. Let the people of this country vote. Most all do not want to be harrassed, interupted, disturbed,solicited, surveyed nor scammed on their phones.

Just got called from 503-468-5198. Left no message on my ans machine. A typical scammer action from an unidentified number.
I am on both the national and my state's Do-not-call registry. Tele-crooks of course do not abide by that.

I THINK THE FTC AND FCC REALLY WANT TO HELP US CONSUMERS BUT, CAN'T BECAUSE THEIR A BUNCH OF IGNORANT PRICKS!!!!

How I wish these survey people would stop calling. I have submitted my cellphone to the do not call list and I am still getting unnecessary calls.
