Comcast really should add more than 12 numbers we can block. Like 12 is great, but my cell phone can block unlimited numbers will the Call Control App.

Caller hung up and left no message. I phoned number back and got recording stating that if I "press 1" I would be removed from their call list. I'm skeptical but I tried it. Will see what happens.

Zap ANY annoying calls for free! Stop paying the telephone company thieves to do what this does for FREE. Anonymous Call Rejection doesn't block all the modified CID calls. PhoneTray Free will! Don't pay good money for a so called call blocker device. This is FREE!!!!

I just added this # to my PhoneTray Free ZAP list.

Your phone won't even ring and they will be hung up on after your message if you want to leave one. Been using this program for months and LOVE it!

You can manually enter the bogus Unknown Name Unknown Number, ---------- and others that these bums use to circumvent the caller ID system. It will block them also. If you can type it in the box it will ZAP it! Or you can add incoming #s to your zap list with a few clicks. Is a FABULOUS little program! It also has an online look up that queries WhoCalled.US. How neat is that? I have NO connection with the company other than I am extremely happy with their PhoneTray Free 1.39.
Try this out, you will thank me!

Don't forget to report these bums to the FTC. Use the online form at

IMPORTANT UPDATE!: Congress passed the Truth in Caller ID Act of 2010 because many telemarketers, debt collectors and others were manipulating Caller ID info to make you more likely to pick up the phone. It is “unlawful for any person within the United States, in connection with any telecommunications service or IP-enabled voice service, to cause any caller identification service to knowingly transmit misleading or inaccurate caller identification information with the intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongfully obtain anything of value.” If you receive a call from a collection agency using a spoofed number, file a complaint with the FCC. To back up your claim, snap a photo of the spoofed Caller ID. If the FCC finds that rules were broken, they can levy fines as large as $10,000 for each violation and three times that amount for each day they continue to break the law, up to $1 million! Lower my interest rate?? Since I don't have a card with a balance, I don't think so!! People, never give any credit card info to some nefarious asshole who calls you on the phone. You don't know WHO you are talking to or giving personal info to. These are scammers.. pure and simple. Don't answer, don't call them back (it confirms you have a working number), just block the bastards calls if you can.

This is the second time I have a call from this number today, on my day off besides. I am on all the do not call me list I can find. Why do they continue to call me, even sometimes using different numbers. They change the last 4 numbers trying to confuse me, but, I know it's them. They think they are very clever.

I answered. No one responded.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
