Just got a call from "Trisha" at the Home Loan Help Center in Portland, OR. I suspect this is a scam as they called me on my cell phone and would not identify themselves. Probably a scheme to commit identity theft.

When I pressed '1' the operatoer told me the call was originating from Oregon, from the Home Loan Help Center. The operator told I she couldn't give me any further information.

I informed her that I am on the Do Not Call List, and that I was filing suit.

Have been receiving these calls from Dorothy (recording) for some time now. Finally out of annoyance, answered the phone and pressed one to connect to an operator. I asked the girl who answered what company was calling. She said Home Loan Help Center, and stated they were located in Oregon. I asked for their address and she hung up on me. I've also been getting the dish satellite calls too. I will be contacting the appropriate government offices to stop this.

I received a call from "Home Loan Help Center". We have received numerous calls, which I believe might have originated from your office.

The telephone number where I have received the calls is 818-785-4542. We are a rape treatment center, in a hospital setting.

Probably it did not work. I've called Mike Cowell a dozen times, and I still get called at least once a day. I'm going to start calling him once a day now.

I get a call saying "Hi, this is Dorothy from the mortgage branch . . . press 1 to speak to an operator." I press one and ask what company it it and the rep always hangs up. I played along once and tried to get some more info and failed. I asked if their company info was a secret and they hung up on me. I called the number that Kevin listed and left a message with a "super". Hopefully I'll get a real call back. Thanks Kevin.

If you dial the 800-370-0010 and ask for mike they'll just patch you through to his number. I don't know if it will work yet but.. we'll see.

So "Dorothy" called me literally every day for the past 2 weeks. I finally found this site with the number. Just call 503-426-3110 and they give you the option of being taken off the call list and it works. phew!

This phone number was on my cell phone ID. Most of the times my cell phone is off, so messages are left. Did not listen to it and really do not want to. I only want stiff rules and punishment carried out on people using people personal information for capital gain. "It is sad not to ever find a "JUST MAN."

If it does originate from "Security Pacific Financial", it might help to know that they are an affiliate of Bank of America. Contacting the appropriate individuals at BoA might help out.

Bet they call again tomorrow, then I turn them in to the police and THEY can track the person (entity)paying the bill. Hopefully!!

I operate a 600 line switchboard at work. I get all sorts kinds of tele marketers 10 or more a day. This is a new one when though, I pressed 1 to talk to someone, and it just repeats the same message, and asks me to press one again. Usually if you hit 0 it goes through to an operator, but it just hung up on me. I got the number from this site and it told me to wait and they would call me back.

Reviewing my business line I find the (310) 949-4915 number, the (503) number also has been used, from the complaints hers it appears these people get active phone numbers and pass them (sell) to companies. Best way to stop is like some of you are doing, if you have time and are on there dime, follow thru get the company info and submit it to higher authority. BBB I have my doubts about, these are obviously not legit companies, the purchasers may be not the originator. File complaint with teh state attorney general with the phone numbers companies etc,they can be traced to the originator and nailed.

Every single day at the same time, I always get that call, and even though I've pressed "1" to talk to the opperator, just like you, the opperator's have gotten mad, huffed, and hung up on me before I could even finish my sentence.

These guys owe me about 10 mins on my cell phone! They owe me about 20 minutes of my life for all the calls we take at the store! (mult. lines) They do not take numbers off the list, just hang up. I did not ask for Mike however, I gave them fair warning that I am telling their recording I am recording them, and requesting to be removed after pressing the "1", and when they do not stop, we will record again, until I feel I've been aggrevated enough to persue them legally. She was insistant I speak with a manager, but I was equally insistant that I have made up my mind. You guys do it also. They have reached the level of stalking...calls come at the rate of about 8 a day, every day, on both my home and business line. Hey all for whats it's worth I believe what is going on here is a company from Canada if using "Dorthy" to bug the hell out of everyone. As a large corporation who does Mtgs and Finance, I get 300-400 legitimate calls from clients per day; 15 - 20 calls a day from Dorothy. I have pressed 1 only to be rudely hung up on. I have called the 800# but to no avail.....Dorothy still call me all afternoon!! Whoever put my numbers in the computer, I seriously would like to shove a sharp object into their ear!

Thank goodness some of you are making some progress. I get 3 messages a day from these joksters. Now, here the power of numbers can do something!
Go to bbb.org, the Better Business Bureau, online complaint website. As long as we have a company name, phone and/or address you are free to place your complaint. The state that they have up to 30 days to respond but lately they have responded to me on a few other unrelated complaints within 48 hours, either by phone or by email.

Here's the beauty, the complaint page allows you, as a consumer, to request what resolution you would like. We should all mention that they should be fined, first of all. Second this "press 1, press 3" thing has spilled over, at least in my area, to satallite tv and carpet cleaning.

Sooo, sorry to be long winded, but everyone should request that at a minimum they are required to include a return phone number in their message. At a minimum when these kooks call we can at least reach them to harrass them!

I am so glad to have stumbled onto your blog! I have been trying to find who these kooks were for 3 months now. I even resorted, last week, to tape recording the message and sending the tape to my local bbb. Hopefully, I will hear soon.

I'm on the Do Not Call list, but they still call. So far, it's been three times since the 31 day waiting period, and I've reported them each time.

I've get these phone calls all the time, but this time I decided to ride it out talk to a representitive. First time I got through I asked for the Tax ID and the Business DnB number, they laughed and hung up. The second time I said that I was interested in their service, now I am waiting for their rep to call me back and get as much info out of him as possible. Once that is done, I will rip these guys a new one by reporting them to BBB, the do not call registry and DnD.

This company calls me everyday. I don't bother answering anymore. The one time that I did, it was a pre-recorded man speaking in Spanish. I have no idea what it's trying to sell - what a waste of my cell phone minute!!

It may not be your phone companies giving out your numbers. You can get machines that dial numbers sequentially beginning at any number programmed into it. Any time it gets an answer, it delivers the message. I went to a church years ago that had such a machine.

I managed to stay without any telemarketer calls forever... however I love to waste these people's time... One time I had someone on the phone that wanted to sell a mortgage to me for about 2.5 hours.. during that time I created a pretty good spreadsheet to proove that his offer sucked. During those 2.5 hours they can't sell anything and are loosing money... so please stay on the phone with them and waste their time...

So by now we all know the drill. You get the same call several times a day, you press 1 to speak with someone and tell them to take you off their list and ask who it is they are, and they hang up on you.

WELL, it happened again today but this time I actually played along. I pretended to be an interested consumer and I was actually able to get the real name of the company! It is SECURITY PACIFIC FINANCIAL as in securitypacificfinancial.com. If you pull up that page you will immediatly see the number 1-800-370-0010. I called it and asked to speak with a supervisor who I then informed should immediatly take me off the call list. He actually listened, did not hang up, and assured me he would have my number immediatly removed. I do not know if this will actually work just yet, but I certainly think it is progress. I think it might be a good idea for others to get in contact with this direct line and ask to be removed/make a complaint as well. Power in Numbers.

This number repeatedly calls my home and my business. They called last night 7-21 at 6:09 pm. Now they have an automated voice prompt that asks if you'd like to be removed from their call list. If you do, you're supposed to enter your 10 digit phone and hit #. When you do however, it say's "invalid entry, tray again" and after you've repeated yourself a few times it disconnects you.

Recorded messages and automatic dialing devices. Under the TCPA, a telemarketer cannot place a call to a residence using a prerecorded message unless the called party gives "express consent."

I did not answer the call either time. The first time I almost did because I do have relatives in that area code, but I was in the same room as all of them. The second time I was at work and had my ringer shut off.

Got a new phone number today, 7/18/06 . Phone co. said it's been out of service since 2004. Two hours after hookup Dorothy called, "Refinance..."

Dorothy from the Mortgage Branch. I got the recording and hit 1 to "hear more" - SHE... yes, Dorothy answered!! I said, "take me off your" - and click she hung up on me!

I just recently started getting these calls. I also just started looking for jobs and put my resume (including my numger) on Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com. Maybe there is a link?

They might be misusing the info they get from those sites.

Received at 12:29 PST on my work line. No message was left but this is probably the 2nd time i have received a call from this number.. Caller ID did not give anything but number.

A recorded "Dorothy" telling about mortages and saying to press 1, this is about the 10th time this system has called. This time it was at 11:50am in 94582 zip code.

Called my cell phone, no caller ID info, didn't recognize the number so didn't pick up - didn't leave a message.

I have received 8 calls in the past month or so from Dorothy offering a 1% Mortgage offer. How the hell did they get my cell number? It is the only telemarketing call I get.

Yea 12 July 2006 and it is a debt consolidation organization out of Portland, Oregon. I don't answer the phone unless one of the names in my data base comes up, sorry.

Refinance company regarding low mortgage rate

The robot "Dorothy" gave a mortgage pitch when I answered my cell phone (Cingular, San Fran area) today around 12:40 pm. Hung up on her/it and saw the 503 number in my calls received list. We've got to shut these guys down.

This number showed up at 503-426-3110 on my cell and it is for Dish Network!

My phone rings just once, AT LEAST once per day. When I use *69, I'll sometimes get this number: 503 426 3110. I sometimes wonder whether it's a phone company scam to get you to spend $ by using *69.

when I called back, it said to hang up as they might call back with a special offer, so i added my number to their "special" "do not call list" hopefully ti works!

Called my cellphone at 9:35AM. I didn't pick up and they left no message, of course.

I get this call on my cell phone and on my work phone. Does anyone know a way to get it to stop? I don't mind it on the work phone, but the cell phone has to stop.

It just showed "Unknown Name" on the caller ID.

This # just rang and came up on the caller ID at my office. It sounded like a man talking (not a recorded voice) and he said he was calling from a national non-profit organization that helps people lower their cc payments. That didn't make any sense to me so I hung up!

Credit Counseling Center. Keep getting calls (recording) even though I've made a habit of asking to have my number (a business) removed.

This is the 2nd time in a week I was called. The first time I was a sucker and answered. It was an automated call that had something to do with home loans. I was called a few minutes ago, this time I remembered the number and didn't answer.

I have received one call (so far) on my Verizon cell phone from this #. I did not answer; they did not leave a message. This website and message board is a great service. It is good to know that other Verizon cell customers are having this problem. I may try to do something through Verizon.

A recording of some woman acting all friendly talking about mortgage refinancing in my area. every day for the last few weeks!!

These people call me at least once a day on my cell when I'm at work. I check my phone at lunch and there is their number but no message. I can't that something hasn't been done about these people yet. Hopefully soon.

i am in san francisco and i received a call from this number on my cell phone. i was in a meeting and did not pick up so i do not know who called. the caller ID said unknown

Keep receiving calls to my work number with no message left, frequency of once a day or so. Really irritating.

Have gotten several of these calls. Usually don't answer as I don't know anyone in Portland. Even if I did answer I'm not convinced it'd help get rid of them. Extremely frustrating.

This chick on the automated machine KEEPS CALLING ME. It's about a mortgage. If I want more information I can press 1. I disconnected, called back and another automated machine answered, in a guy's voice. He said what to do if I wanted to be taken off the list, which is enter your 10-digit phone number and #. I did several times, and each time he'd tell me I had entered an invalid number.

Believe to be some kind of free phone call scam related to this name. I've changed my number 3 times now, every time Trina gets my number, I start receiving these unknown calls.

I did not answer it, but I looked it up on google and it came up with a link to an ebay discussion. A guy "dogthebountyhunter" was claiming that number as his home phone.

From some mortgage program for a loan at 1%. When I pressed "1" and got a live person, I informed her they were calling a criminal law office and to please remove our number from their list. She QUICKLY hung up. However...did they take me off the list?!?!

Have received the same mortgage pitch from 503-426-3125. Also received a call from 503-284-1919/(Diamond E) in that timeframe. Caller claimed to be calling about the "cottage studio for rent". No such thing. I suspect this was their way of verifying that my # was being answered.
