How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

If you call the Caller-ID number and it is reported disconnected, the caller used a service that sends fake caller IDs. Also, these people ignore the "do not call" lists.

annoying phone calls, multiple times. i'm also on the do not call list. these people should be investigated and incarcerated!
Why do I get these calls when I am on the NO-CALL list?
Also got the message for "seniors insurance" etc. Hanging up doesn't disconnect them as required by Federal law. They keep the lines locked (like many others do) until their message finishes...but pressing * several times finally disconnected it. Also on the DNC list, but the ID numbers are often bogus (also illegal for businesses), the name is blocked (illegal for businesses), so there's not a lot that can be done by either FTC, FCC, or the AG for the state. Even the phone companies can't offer much assistance.
I'm so glad I found this website! I was beginning to think I was cracking up, after getting 2 calls from this number! The first one was on Nov 10, and when answered, all I heard was silence! I called the number back as soon as I found out where the call was coming from, only to receive the "this number has been disconnected" message! My second call was on Nov 12, and this one spooked me a little, when the recorded message started talking about "prepaid burial insurance"! I called the phone company after receiving the second phone call, and was told that a disconnect number wasn't able to make calls!! Well, that really spooked me, because my dad passed away Oct. 22, and knowing my dad, if there was anyway possible to contact me, this would be the way he'd do it (Adivse me to get off my butt, and get burial insurance)!!

Calls several times; The last one was at 11:45am. Before that I received a call from them at almost 10 o clock a few days prior. I think this may be part of Bank of America. We keep getting stuff in the mail about life insurance and death prep services through Bank of America....?

This is my 2nd call. This time I listened to the whole message: selling Burial Insurance "...if you want more information, press 1" I wanted to point out I'm on the DNCList, but nothing happened after I pressed 1. Reporting this to Arkansas Attorney General.
Answered the call. It started with "An important message for Seniors. If you are age-----." I hung up
I answered and got a recording. It said Senior Burial Insurance Benefits or something like that. It instructed me to press one for information. I press one and instead of more information, I heard, after the beep to say my name, phone number and address and someone would get back with me. Instead I said take me off your call list and gave my phone number.
Unsolicited pre-recorded sales call made to a number on both the Florida and national no-call lists. Identified itself as Senior Benefits. Talking about burial insurance or burial plots. Said press 1 for more info. I hung up and reported it to the Fla Div of Consumer Services.
