Who Called Us

Please tell AACC to stop calling my number. First of all, I do know the person they're calling for. They sent in the mail that her bank account had been frozen due to a court judgement. She never received a letter for a court date? When she went to the bank they had told her it was an attempted freeze on her account which couldn't be done because she didn't that applied to be frozen. So now they're calling me. The most important thing about this company is their trying to collect on a debt that's ten years old! The harass me with calls and she doesn't even live here. This company's phone personnel are ignorant, belligerent, rude and should not be in business with their skevy techniques. Why can't the better business bureau find a way to stop these call! I'm on the 'do not call list' yet they still call. This place is full of fraud, trickery, and deceit, and will do everything in they're power to trick you into paying a debt that expired 10 years ago. Well beyond the 7 year statute of limitations. Don't pick up the phone!!

Now they are using a cell phone 757-209-2028. Out of Williamsburg, Va.

This company called for my parents claiming they owed money on a phone bill from several years back. We still go through the same phone company but they have sent no bills to us about this matter we are paid up on this old phone #. I went to the BBB (better business bureau) website and looked up their main location in Michigan and it says they have had 981 complaints against them in the last 36 months, 900 of them involve billing or collection issues so I would not trust this company or give them ANY money!

I have been receiving letters from these people for about 5 years now, on an old debt that was WRITTEN OFF over 12 years ago! Now they are starting to call me. I'm not sure what to do.

NOTHING this 'House of Cons' does should be believed or taken at face value. They have proven over and over they are liars and thieves!

Under federal law, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) an account may ONLY stay on a credit report for seven years. One of the cons being used by Asset Acceptance is to claim you made a $50 payment, which would have re-started that clock. Unfortunately this is a 'bogus-claim' by AAC, is illegal and violates your rights.

Asset Acceptance Corp has earned the distinction of one of "AMERICA'S WORST COLLECTION AGENCY'S". They lie, steal, cheat, misrepresent, file bogus claims, create phony documents and commit perjury in the court system JUST to increase their bottom line.

They called my cell phone today asking for someone that I don't know. This is not the first time I've received calls

This is a company collecting debts. They contacted me about a credit account which was charged off in bankruptcy over 3 years ago; this company said they just purchased the credit account this month. What fools.

Debt Collector. If you pick up it is a recording asking for a specific person and states that if you stay on the line you are acknowledging that you are that person. After that I dont know. Dont answer it and hope they dont call again for a while, but they do anyways.

I believe this would make the second call on my cell phone i have received from this number with in a two month period. I also signed up for the do not call registry.

Well, I did what the person above me said. They keep calling. I told them to wait for my voice mail and they will see we are not the people they are looking for. She then said we probably changed our names!! Oh I can't believe how pathetic these people are! I then said do a phone number check...grief!

Folks, this is a collection agency. I placed a simple phone call back to them from the number they called and let them know that person no longer has that number. My number was flagged as an incorrect number. Pretty simple.

Said I owed SBC money for an account I didn't open. Was given instuctions on how to procede with the case

A call came into the office from this number stating that they wanted to verify employment. The lady who verifies employment was out of the office and I ask them would they like to leave a call back number or a messge and they stated that they would call back later.

Stupid recording saying this is not a sales call, when woman answered, she said hello and hung up

all you have to do is tell them to never call that number again... report them to the FCC if they continue to harrass you.

I get a call once in a wile that this is not a solisatation they give me a number that I don't have time to record and a number that I don't have the time to jot down and them, click!

Today I got a call that said that this is not a soloitatation and to stand buy! I wate and wate and wate! Then after repeataly saying Hellow on the phone, I hag-up!

My guess is that someone used their old number and I got it when I started service at SBC. Now I'm getting buged by the colection agency!

The sad thing is before I moved in my house, I got buged by another coloction agencey that was looking for Hery Resioner. So I complaned to SBC to change my number to a unused number when I moved to my house and what did I get! Sigh!

On 02/13/07, Asset Acceptance called looking for my daughter regarding a student loan debt. My daughter died a violent death in January 2001. Asset Acceptance indicated they doubted she was dead. They would keep calling until they find her. When I offered a copy of her death certificate, they indicated they were not interested because they knew I was LYING. They indicated she applied for a student loan in 2004. That is IMPOSSIBLE!! I KNOW when I buried my daughter. I don't know how to make them stop. Their calls hurt the deepest part of my heart each and every time they call my home.

I picked up the phone and played the audio message "Please remove me from your call list" that I found on Sorrygottago.com. I played it over and over. The sorrygottago.com has different audio messages that you can choose from. Maybe next time I'll play something else from the website. I don't care who they are. I don't talk to strangers. :)

I've gotten two calls in the past month. I didn't answer the first time, because I didn't recognize the area code, and I searched it... then I found this site.

These people called my parents house and asked for me (in a recording) and stated that they are a collection agency. I do not live with my parents, that is so wrong!

They don't leave messages and if I answer it asks me to hold the line.

Got a call plus a letter from Asset Acceptpance today. For everybody that reads this statement, if you receive a letter from this company, keep it for your records because it will have extra info. on the headletter concerning this place & at any time you recieve a phone call with another #, you can add this to that letter for extra information to know who is calling instead of calling long distance then haning up to find out who it is.

I just got this cell phone number 3 months ago and Im getting calls from this number. Its Asset Acceptance and they are a collection Agency. They are looking for a person by the name of J. Nichols. I have explained that I dont know this person and I just got this cell number 3 months ago. They refuse to stop calling and they have threathened to sue me and called me dead beat. It made me mad cause Im not this person. They continue to call I answer and tell them F-You and hang up or just laugh at them when they are reading their little message of intent to collect.

They called requesting to speak for a specific person. I asked what the call was about but they refused to tell me who they were unless I identified myself. I hung up and they called again threatening to call every day. I don't know how to stop them.

Opinion Research showed on caller ID, but recorded message left was from Asset Acceptance.

I received this just now so 12/4 at 6:40pm central. It was on my cell and it just showed the number that's it.

Called asking for my son. He said it was for "Personal Business". It could be a collection agency...

I fax a dispute letter to the conpany on 11/10/2006. In the dispute letter, I not only disputed the account and requested verification, but I also requested that they stop calling me. Since the date that I faxed the letter, they have called my home three times. The most recent date of their call is 11/15/2006.

Asset Acceptance is a debt collection agency, not a telemarketer, so willbe exempt from the Do Not Call Registry

Another Asset Acceptance call for my sister who doesn't live here and was never registered for this phone number. They state on the automated call that by remaining on the line, you are confirming that you are the person they are looking for. Don't know how to make them stop calling me.
