they didnt say anything when I answered. But I will report them to the DNC anyway, not that it will do any good.
This number called my cell phone, which is registered on the DO NOT CALL LIST!!!!! What's the point of the list???
I answered this call and said take a survey and get a free plane ticket for a trip?
Right away i knew it was bogus. for the hell of it I took the poltical servey.
At the end a guy came on the line and said thank you. you will recieve a plane trip
and I said I do not want one ? right away he hung up.
Reporting to DoNotCall.gov.
By doing a survey first, they are covered by the survey exemption in the Do Not Call Registry rules. (It also covers charities, political calls and anyone with whom you have done business in a specified period of time.) Once you have participated in their survey, the line is that the offer is a reward for participation, not simply a product being sold. I did not listen long enough to get the idea that it might also be a scam. I though they were just cleverly cheating on the DNC rules.
In any case, it is wise not to give any payment of financial information to an unknown person who calls you. The rule is not to give any personal or financial information or pay any money unless you initiate the call.
Cell phone was charging and I didn't pick it up when it registered this number at 9:19 am EST, 1/24/12. Something's phishy that this phone # is #1 on your list today. When we audit the FED, why not the FTC simultaneously? Seems like burgeoning bureaucratic cahoots to me. If this IS an AZ opinion survey about the Round Table puppeteers' false flag national debt crisis that won't go to waste on its way to the NOT World Order (so demand we patriots), does the caller count in the bogus "improved" labor statistics? May Freedom ring forever, scam and sham calls, never. God Bless America.
Called at dinner time. I don't answer unknown calls at meal time. No message left. Probably from one of those call centers. Well, at least they are not considered jobless.
Caller was a recorded message asking for you to do a survey about the nations debt. This is an Arizona Number. No thanks I'm in debt enough thank you...
Periodic calls. No messages ever left. National DNC list is a joke.
Guy calling from what sounded like a call center offered a free 2-day 2-night cruise to the Bahamas for a short survey, but needed to secure a $118 fee for port taxes UP FRONT. I told him that we don't pay anything without verifying the authenticity of the offer. He sent us an email that looks nice, and had a link to their website 2012getawy.com, which is a legit website, but any realistic scammer can make an email appear from NASA. They said the offer was only good if I paid over the phone right now, which is a red flag for me, so I hesitated and asked for further proof of authenticity, which he said thank you, but he was going to go ahead and pass the offer to someone else and that he was tired of waiting anyways, sounding a little heated about my request. As Dave Ramsey says, "Fee Fi Fo Fum, I Smell A Scam". I'm not saying this is a scam, but my gut tells me otherwise. Proceed with caution, and don't spend any money until you can verify the legitimacy of the offer. Cheers #=D
Call is from Arizona. Obviously I didn't pick up. I am on the Do Not Call List.
