An automated message telling me to press 1 if I wanted to take advantage of lowering my current credit card to 6%. I pressed 1, because I don't have any credit cards and wanted to be sure there wasn't some mistake. When the guy answered I explained this and he hung up. I called the number back and an automated "this number is not set up for voice mail" message came on. I knew at this time for sure it was a scam. D Not give them your info.

Received a call (illegally, to my cell phone) from this number claiming to represent one of my credit cards, offering to reduce my interest rate. Prompted me to press 1 at the end of the call to be connected to a live operator, when I did the call terminated.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker (click pictures below for price and reviews).
