WHAT COMPANY IS THIS?
Left a pre-recorded message from "Card Services." Left a number which I could call to hear what services they offer. Of course, I ignored it. Contrary to what 'anny' claims below, it is not BOA. I'm up to date on my payments and there is no reason for them to call me. Also, a reputable company such as BOA will ALWAYS identify itself. My advice: Ignore this call.
Left an electronic message saying we're hear to help. Very suspicious.
Come on folks, you all know it's bank of america looking for your payment. Just answer the phone and make your payment or tell them that you refuse to pay and they will do what they have to do, and you can go on with life. If you refuse to pay, they may call a few more times trying to collect, but really the only way to get them off your back is to tell them you will not pay them, or pay up.
Bank of america debt collections
Your credit rating is probably pretty messed up if these hacks are calling you. Do yourself a HUGE favor and contact one of those "Debt Solution" places that settles your debt by AT LEAST 50%. That stops these creeps from calling you and you don't get sued or anything like that. The Bank (or collecton agency or ex-cons who can't get a better job or whoever they are)keeps calling you because YOU have something they want... money! So as long as they are calling you, you are in complete control. Don't answer the phone because they don't want to do anything but belittle you, intimidate you, and make you feel ashamed.... assuming you can't pay them the hundreds or thousands of dollars they want! Jerks!! Instead, call one of those debt settlement companies and settle your debt for way less. I saved thousands of dollars, and yes I still have to pay the settlement company a few hundred a month but it's for 4 years and I'm done. It beats never ever paying the debts off and working until I die, shelling out only interest and whatever arbitrary fees the bank charges every month!!!! SORRY BANK OF AMERICA!!!!!!!!!! TAKE THE MONEY YOU'VE BEEN SPENDING ON THESE PHONE CALLS AND PUT THEM TOWARD THE DEBT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAYBE I'D BE NICER IF YOU WORKED WITH ME INSTEAD OF INTIMIDATING ME!!!!!!!
Yeah, it's the Democratic congress that is going to help. A couple months after the bailouts, B of A bought one of my CCs from another bank and decided to raise the rate from 12.99% to 24.99% due to my online banking lag being ONE day late. Since then I've since paid it off and dumped these clowns. This is the 4th CC I've had them buy that I have eventually closed. Luckily I had the means to do it. They just bought my mortgage 2 months ago and unfortunately I don't have the means to pay that off, but can't wait until the shenanigans start and oddball fees start popping up.
They also pulled a fast one on my grandmother in a similar fashion, but this time they cut her credit limit in half and she got hit with an overlimit fee and doubled her interest rate.
Bank of America is the debil.
ive get numerous calls day and night. I give them my attorney's name and number and that will stop the calls.
They have started texting me now!!!!!!
Bank of America-Monday morning June 15th
I had a credit card that was transferred (not by me) to Bank of America. I used it once. I have been paying it off ever since. I decided to cancel it, and I set up a plan to pay it off with a VERY nice guy. The remaining payments were made (ON TIME), but I am still receiving phone calls. When I complained to the third person that called me, he said it takes a few weeks for it to register in the computer. I think that's ridiculous, and I just wanted to vent about the fact that I'm being woken up at 7:30 every morning by surly employees that are calling me delinquent and asking for their money when they already have it.

Like "Annoyed" I've also gotten calls that show up on the ID as "Out of Area" with no number; 626-666-6754 which showed on the ID as California BUT that area code is actually Wisconsin and this number reported here which, at least, really does come from Texas - Dallas and 22 smaller towns that surround Dallas just outside of the I-635 loop road. I also get one that is "Unavailable" but the number also seems to be Bank of America. Same deal as everyone here....no message....as soon as the answering function on the phone connects, they disconnect.
BTW - I'm one of those credit card customers B of A and others card companies love to hate....I don't charge any more in a month than I can pay off, I pay off my bill in full every month and I pay on time despite B of A is now getting the bills to me so late that there are usually only 7 days or so between the receipt of the bill and when B of A says the payment is due. Right now, other than whatever charges posted too late to make it onto the last bill, I owe them nothing.
They're going to "love" me even more because they have irritated me so much now, that I have virtually stopped using my credit card at all except for the occasional on line purchase.
REMEMBER, a credit card company makes money both ways on a transaction....they not only charge you obscene, usury interest rates and late charges BUT they also charge the merchant or business a fee for every time someone pays for a product or service by credit card.
We can wound B of A and other credit card companies right where it hurts & reduce their profits while helping the places we do business with to survive the Bush Recession by simply doing our transactions by check or good old fashioned cash whenever possible.
This BS with B of A is only going to get worse !!
B of A & others credit card companies are under the government** spotlight....finally....and will probably be reigned in so they are probably going all out while they can to weezle every penny they can get so the Board Room types can continue to pocket multi million dollar paychecks.
(**Well we do now have a Democratic Congress for the first time since the mid 1990's and they tend to be more consumer/average guy friendly than the Republicans...We all know what 12 years of a Republicanly dominated Congress which has worked in concert for the last 8 years with a Republicanly dominated White House have brought us.....I'd laugh at the current Republican efforts, just 3 months into the Obama Administration, to blame the 1.7 TRILLION or so deficit that 8 years of Bush "W" left us on Obama & the Democrats if it were not for the fact that there are plenty of STUPID, ILL-INFORMED voters out there who will believe the Republican spin miesters.)
According to the news reports the beginning of March, B of A among others, is under investigation for their abusive credit card practices -
"Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations chaired by U.S. Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.) holds the first of several hearings to examine business practices of the credit card industry, focusing on how credit issuers apply interest rates and other fees.
According to Levin, many credit lenders engage in practices that are "unfair or abusive"--such as charging interest on balances that have already been paid--that are too complex for the average consumer to understand."

Don't take this lying down !!!! FIGHT BACK....HIT B of A & the other credit card companies WHERE IT HURTS......IN THE POCKETBOOK !!!! STOP USING YOUR CREDIT CARD(s)for things that you could just as easily use cash or a check for.
two calls from this number to my cell, both left no message
unknown
If this number is calling you, it means you owe your credit card company (Bank of America) money.
I think it's clear we're all rather annoyed with this since we all took the time to try to find out what this number is. I'm not sure what the deal is but I'm getting calls from 3 numbers. 1 is this one, the other is 626-666-6754 and one is "unknown". I'm getting up to 10 calls a day combined. I don't answer the phone unless I recognize the number and no one leaves a message. When I looked up the other number it had the same comments as this one. I DO have a credit line with BOA but if it is a REAL person calling then why don't they leave a message for you to contact them? It seems really sketchy. I am going to take someone's advice from the other number and I think you guys should too: if you have a credit line, bank account, whatever, just go down to the local BOA and ask them about it. Or if you have online banking, call the number they show.
I'm getting sick of these calls from BOA without leaving a message.
This is the 14th phone # from Bank of America that they have been using in the past 3 months.
Good thing I'm not at home from 8 am to 9 pm, so I don't have to hear the phone ring.
I don't use credit cards, never had the need for them.

Yes, Bank of America, indeed
It's the Bank of America Collection Department; they identify themselves as "Card Services" and they call non-stop, over and over, repeatedly at day and night and they do not leave a message. PITAs.
Caller is Bank of America collections account using CARD SERVICES on caller ID. Asks repeatly for wrong person. I explained this serveral times and they continued to call back using different numbers -- 804-515-2937 (BANK OF AMERICA ID) and 814-234-7657 (FIA CARD SERVICES) causing me to explain the error several times. Finally, I had to go to National Do Not Call Registry (donotcall.gov) to complain to get it resolved.
