The phone number they call me has been disconnected for over one year and they keep calling twice per day. Have fun waiting them out. Their autobot wont give up. :(

Someone from this phone calls my house every day at different hours. When I answer the phone no one is there or I hear girls laughing. I have tried calling the number back, but have never got through.

Calls every day...never leaves a message. This is why voice mail was invented for slime like this.

The solution is simple....NEVER answer the call. Let voice mail talk to them....most companies now are not even calling you in person, some machine dials you and leaves some stupid robotic message expecting you to call them back. F*** you, unlisted Maryland phone number.

Marilyn, thanks for the tip about using the pound key...sounds like fun turning the tables on these criminals. When you get a chance, read about them on Bud Hibb's website. They are truly bottom-feeders. Do not talk to them or better yet, take their phone calls.

The jerk-off who left the message on my phone could barely speak English..it was pathetic.

2010-04-26 01:00:34 UTCCharisse

These jerk-offs keep calling my house at 8:00AM, five times throughout the day, and at 8:55PM. Some jerk-off left a BS message about being an "investigator" looking into a "check fraud case." Caller ID is the best invention since sliced bread. They can keep calling since bo body in my house will answer a number we don't know. I checked my phonecall log and most of the time the number comes up listed as "private" or "unknown." Let them keep calling...

Calling everyday always Mon-Sat. 8-5 usually caller ID says Private Number Private Name when I do pick up there is ususal a recored message saying hold....continue to hold. After about a minute a person gets on line that doesn't speak english very well. Always ask for my daughter says it's a private matter, refuses to give name or organization. I did get him one time to tell me the nature of the call and he said she owned money. I said no problem I will pay how much is it. He hung up on me. They are not legimate. My daughter on time when she was 16 settled with Walmart over a disputed charge account. I believe this is how she got on their list. She has no other credit debt. and the Walmart account was under $300.00 These people are bottom feeders and I will never pay a cent to them. Any company that was legit would not hide their ID "period" do not fall for their lies. Just press the pound key will you're on hold it will mess up their computerized calling system.

I demanded to know who they were since it said Private number on my caller ID...I couldn't even understand the person their english was so broken. I told them if my son owned any money I would pay and demanded they send paperwork and it would be paid in full. He hung up on me.

Asset Acceptance purchases debt that is outside of the SOL to be able to collect. They purchase the debt for pennies on the dollar and then try to strong arm people to claiming the debt and getting them to pay. Not only that, they tack on extra fees and try to get you to pay those too! Ignore these bottom feeders and do not accept their calls or make any payment arrangements with them! You will only get screwed in the long run!!!!

Asset Acceptance Capital Corp. and its subsidiaries purchase and collect defaulted or charged-off accounts receivable portfolios from consumer credit originators in the United States

They are A.H.'s! Bottom feeder collection agency.

an automated voice came on saying they did estate plannuing or something.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker (click pictures below for price and reviews).
