How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

They just called again. BTW, all this INTENSE hang-up telemarketing activity began, within a couple weeks of AFTER I signed up with the Do Not Call Registry. What is my opinion of the Do Not Call Registry--what a crock. The bad guys apparently use the Do Not Call Registry list to get phone numbers to call. When you try to call back the Caller ID phone number of the hang-up telemarketers, they usually are non-working numbers. The whole bag (hang-up telemarketers) just makes having a phone or cell phone, annoying. Ringing, hanging up as they do all day long. Their incessant calling & hanging up, fills up the alloted number of 25 Caller ID numbers permitted, quickly each day. So I spend time every day, deleting, deleting, deleting hang-up telemarketer phone numbers, from my list. I add new ones to my spreadsheet of hang-up telemarketer phone numbers as they start calling us. What a waste of time. Why do we have to live this way? It's an invasion of privacy and disturbing the peace. Anyone have any OTHER ideas on how to deal with the onslaught? Is there a "fry a hang-up telemarketer's phone line" gadget "out there"? I'd pay a lot for it and I don't think I'm the only one.
This is the latest addition to my spreadsheet of over 65 hang-up telemarketer phone numbers who have called me in about a month. Some call once in a while; others call up to 6 times a day. It's exasperating. Getting ready to purchase a Blacklist phone blocker, or use our own set-up using freeware software online to automatically hang up on these particular phone numbers (of hang-up telemarketers). Having the list, for now, enables me to just look at the phone number and delete it off my phone recorder, without having to pick up and hear the click of them hanging up. What a waste of time & effort, for these turkeys to call me from all over the country & just hang up. They apparently get "credit" for all phone attempts. Too bad they can't be tarred, feathered, and run out of town on a pike, as the old expression goes. Perhaps, one day technology will be able to put a stop to such idiots.
Automatic message wants me to buy their satelite dish program. Doesn't give phone number. Gives option to have my number removed, which I do, but they still call back about once a week. *69 gives me this phone number.
Dish TV or something like that. Told them cable ruled all the way and she practically insisted cable was the work of the devil. Good girl, the brainwashing took.
They could continue calling my number - I always have the ringer off and no answering machine. Feel free.
They will never give up your phone number and take you off the list. They are extremely rude. What I think if funniest is they are TELEMARKETERS being arrogant....ironic. They should be ashamed. SCUMBAGS says it right.
