How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

they called my cell phone
Well the area code indicates that it's a land line (UK mobiles use different area codes) somewhere in the Bishopsgate area of London.
Same as many of you... Got the call yesterday about my car warranty being expired, and they wanted to charge me $300 to get it active again. I didn't take the offer to talk to a person.

these people are pains in the ass. they call for a auto warranty. i have asked each time ( 3 times now) for the supervisor. last night they gave me GOMER PILE.. how funny...I cant get theses guys blocked.. it has got to be a scam but.. sprint wont do anything
this is the third call in a week with the same int'l prefaces. I didn't answer since I don't know anywone who would be overseas so I figured it was a solicitation call of some kind. I wish we could have blocks for unknown numbers for our cell phones or at least the ability to block "domains" like we can for email. What a PITA.....
Same thing as below, called about warranty. The other day they called about lowering my interest payment on credit cards but said can't help if my debt is below $4k. Not sure what this is but make sure you give 100% false information.
I just received a call from them it is one of thoes places that say your warranty on your car has ran out. I figured what the heck I would have some fun. When they asked me what year and model I had I told them an 82 Datsun pickup. I asked them if my waranty has ran out and what could I do about it. He told me to click my heels three times. I asked him "What direction should I face?" He said "west". I tried it and nothing happened. Then he got rude when I asked him if it worked. Had a fun little chat with him. Not very good customer service if you ask me. He said people from "my town" in Colorado are stupid. bla bla bla I then told him 40 year old men working call centers are not the greatest either. Then he tried to say something else and I asked him if he just paroled bla bla bla then he hung up on me. HO RUDE!!!

my phone said it was from cali. idk. kinda annoying.
Just called me right now on my phone. I have the HTC 6800 and a prompt came up about not being able to download a message or something right as the call came in. I'll post the full message if it ever comes up again. Very strange stuff.
This is the second call I got today. When I reported the first one others said it was spamm. I didn't think you could get spam calls
