How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

they don not know who they are looking for, they should refres their information and stop calling
It is a collection agancy. They have no idea that harrassment laws and federal collection laws can be used in tandum. You need to write them and request a halt to their calls. It must be sent registered. But, you will have fun trying to get an address. They want your info (in an age of identity theft) but refuse to give you theirs. HHHMMM...something wrong with that picture? Heres a couple addresses for you...

This collection agency is in relentless pursuit. They call several times a week, but never leave a message. How could they think someone will return their call when they are so underhanded that they cannot identify themselves?
I am recieving these calls at my office and that is risking my job. I need to know how to stop them. I have told them this.
It is a recording, sounds like a collection agency. They are asking for someone that I do not know. When I call the number that they give, to tell them that they are calling the wrong person, I get another recorded message that the number I have called cannot be reached from my area code. Sounds like pure harrassment, and I cannot get the calls to stop. They call about 5 to 8 times a week.
