Finally gave a name Jason and the companys' initials RPM-DO NOT give them any info-they are creeps and liars they give an 866 call back number do not do it-just hang up.

This company is a collection agency that "Specializes" in old accounts. I have a common name and they call me constantly looking for a person with the same name saying that "I" have a bill that is overdue . . . how old? TWELVE YEARS!!! Now that's beating a dead horse!
The reason they are so persistent: they work on commission and get a percentage of any monies collected. Why don't the companies they represent care? Because they are huge companies and can afford to lose one or two customers, the collections are usually sizeable enough to compensate for the loss of two "average" customers.
How should you handle these calls? If it is a legitimate bill that you owe and it is less than six years old, work out a payment plan with them and pay the bill, they can't call you if you are meeting your payment goals.
If the bill is over six years old, don't give them any information, hang up and don't answer calls from that number any longer. If the collection shows up on your credit report, challenge it.
If the bill is definately not yours, ask to speak with a manager to resolve the issue and help them find the individual they are looking for . . . especially if they have the same name as yourself.
I've never had Sprint, so I should be contacted by any collection agency for Sprint. When I searched this number online, I found that there was a lawsuit where this number was utilized in a Police collection fundraiser for the families of officers that died in the line of duty. The suit was due to the fact that millions were raised, but less than a $100,000 went to the families... (If i remember correctly) Regardless, I am registered on the DNC list). This is VERY annoying!

This number calls me day and nite. I had set up some payment plan a year ago which was to be done 5/31/08. But they keep calling...and surprise...hanging up on the first or second ring. I tried to call back but of course cannot get thru. It is a non functioning number!!!1

These guys call about 5 times a day. They say I have to pay a 10-year old MCI cellphone bill, which I never had.
One day I thought like I'd mess with them, so when they called I asked what benefits I would receive if I payed my bill. The lady told me my credit score would go up, and that they would stop calling me. I told them I was lonely and that I enjoyed their calls... she told me that if I paid at that moment she would reduce my bill from $80 to $60. Sounds like a major scam.

Vincent from RPM called looking for a Robert, but did not identify the last name of the "Robert". Turns out it is a different Robert who owes a big gas bill. He would only tell me that he was from RPM and wouldn't give me a phone number or tell me the full name of the company. States he would take our name off the list. Why would they be looking for someone from Illinois when they know they called an area code that is not in Illinois.
I have repeatedly received messages from this company, and I have also dealt with them hanging up without leaving a message. They keep contacting me via my mothers cell phone, and I keep telling them not to call that number. They are trying to get me to pay a Verizon phone bill, but I don't feel like i should have to keep paying off others peopkles debt just because they used my ame and info to open these accounts! So far I have had a Sprint Cell phone, an AT&T cell phone, numerous credit cards, and now this Verizon bill, opened up in my name without my consent! I have been to the police dept by me to file a report when my info was stolen in 2002, but they don't have any interest in helping with this issue. The people who stole my info even mailed back my wallet WITHOUT my drivers license, Soc Sec card, and other inportant items! They think because the debt is "only" $98, that I should pay, but no way!!! The lady I spoke to today asked me if I was not planning on paying this debt willingly, well, like hell was I going to give her any info on my intent of paying or not!!! Also, she asked me for the last 4 digits of my soc sec! No way in hell was I giving a perfect stranger that info!!!! These people are crazy, they have called my atlease 20 times this week alone! I plan on filing a complaiont with the BBB and the Attorney General!
My mom had her identity stolen 4 years ago. All of the companies that were ripped off were willing to write off the loss...except for Old Navy. They had the smallest bill and they won't let it go...they sent RPM after her. She didn't even know there was a problem! RPM had supposedly sent letters telling the account holder that they needed to pay....they, of course, assumed it was her. They somehow managed to get HER phone number and called and threatened her today! Threatened to put a lien on her house and ruin our credit! This was the first she'd heard of the account and RPM was rude and indignant. They 'made' her give them her checking account number otherwise they were going to make her life miserable. HOW CAN THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS??? NOW, how do we know they aren't using her checking account number??? Taking advantage of a senior citizen! Now how do I find out if they're ripping her off??
I got a call yesterday from a Tania from RPN claiming i owed Verizon over $900.00, I cancel with Verizon 5 years ago,never got a single letter from them until now that this company is harrasing me, I ask Tania to proved that i owed them money, she refused to, well bad news for her because I'm a debt collector and she doesn't even know that she VIOLATED MY RIGHTS under the Fair Debt Act by refusing to prove the debt, don't let any loser harrased you like this, many people don't know they have this rights, i will mail them a certified letter and if this don't stop i will go after them. This company has called me TEN times from one of their other numbers (877-233-8527) and three times from this number. I cannot get rid of them. I'm not the person they're asking for, nor have I ever heard of that name. I've had my phone number nine years so I know it doesn't belong to the name requested. I just sent an email to them demanding they stop or I'll file a complaint with my attorney general. From reading this board I don't think it will help.

Young kids from the ghetto with very combative attitude. Called about a stupid AT&T bill from more than eight years ago. Send them a CEASE ALL COMMUNICATIONS LETTER UNDER 15 U.S.C. Sec. 1692c to stop all communications. They will give you a po box address and they also have an office address. Send them the letter certified to both.

i actualy have a number to their complaint department.the name of the man in charge is bob polus and his direct line is 425-984-6249. he helped me get my matter resolved after speaking with about 20 different people and finally having to contact the better bisiness bureau(BBB). but he did only contact me after i filled a formal complaint with the BBB. if calling the complaint department doesnt work just go to BBBonline.org and file a formal complaint. when it asks you to check a box regarding what your coplaint is about just hit no on all of them then follow the directions. i think you have to use 425-984-6248 number for the company to come up when it ask you to put in a telephone nuber to locate the company. after i contacted the BBB i think within 3 day bob polus called me on the phone kissing my ass trying to resolve the issue.

I have been getting calls from this number for about a month now and I was starting to get worried but not dumb enough to fall for anything.
This other number was actually left in a voice-mail message and it said quote on quote:
"Hey Rebeca, this is Jessica please leave me msg at 877-233-8521" NOW the call orginated from 425-984-6248 which is a collection agency.
I am NOT Rebeca but when I first got my phone over a year ago I did get ALOT of calls from people asking for a Rebeca or a Becky. After talking to a few them I found out there just friends trying to make plans for the weekend or whatnot. I even got quiet a few drunken txt msgs. They pretty much stopped. I think the last one I got was over 2 months ago.
At least NOW I know there not actually trying to get me but this other girl even if that doesn't solve the constant calls.
I have not recieved another call from them since they left the msg which was on Jan 3 2008

We receive call after call from this number. It's fun to yell at them though. Makes their life a little more miserable.
This computer generated call has happened several times over the last year. I answer and no one is there. The caller ID says "Unnamed."
Their information is INCORRECT, yet they continue to call and harass even though I have asked them to STOP.

He began screaming at me and saying I was accusing him personally of harassing me. I told him that as a representative of his company, yes, HE was responsible at this very moment for harassment. He continued to scream and I hung up. I did file a complaint with the BBB; I am going to file one with the Washington AG's office as well.
IF THERE IS NO COMPANY OR NAME LISTED WITH THE NUMBER, I DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL. FOR INSTANCE, 425-984-9248 INDICATES "UNKNOWN NAME" ON MY CALLER ID, THEREFORE I DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL. This company has called me too trying to collect for an old cellular bill that they say was mine. I asked them to mail or even fax me the information that they have so I could check into it. I told them that if it was in fact something I owed I would pay. The woman was so rude I had to finally hang up. Other times they call and when you answer the phone there is no one there. This is what I would consider a very questionable "company."

My daughter fell for this, she gave them her debit card number to pay a bill she thought maybe she owed, she is trying to straighten out her credit. Whoever took her debit card number used it to stay at a hotel in Washington and overdrafted her account. Now she has to work to straighten out the mess that happened when they stole her I.D. Do not give this company ANY information if they call this could also happen to you!!!
I AM TIRED OF GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER. THE PHONE RINGS TWO TIMES AND THAT IS IS. These people call several times a day at all hours of the day and even on the weekends. I've answered the phone several times only to have a computer tell me that all customer service representatives are currently busy and to please wait. That is a crock of $#!+. If someone or some company can have my phone ringing off the hook, they can at least be on the other end of the line when I answer. They also never leave a message. WTF?!
Receiving calls for someone that does not live here. I have this phone number for over ten years. I tried many times to have them delete my phone number from their computer with no avail. They constantly call and put me on hold ( over 15 minutes on my cell phone. ) Then hang up This can be a class action suit. They have used about 10 dollars worth of calls for which I will bill them. Didn't answer phone, first time I've had this number call.
I finally called this number back after several calls, especially after it had just called me. The guy was pleasant enough, saying he was looking for someone that had my same last name. I told him my number wasn't this guy's. When I told the guy that he never gives me a chance to answer, he said the call was on automatic dial and if there's no answer in three rings it hangs up. I don't have Sprint, didn't give them any information, and so far the calls have stopped.
This number calls our work almost every hour for the last 10 days. It is an immediate disconnect if answered.
I've been under surveillance for about three months, when ever I reach a destination and I loose my tail, I am called from this number from Washington or from 425 951-0100. I've called the police who have ID'd these people but have reported nothing back to me other than they are private citizens. My wife and kids are scared and we've hired a private investigator for counter surveillance. We were informed by researchers that this was a collection agency, talent/head Hunter firm and a prive investigation firm.

These assholes are collecting for MCI who tryted to rob me by setting up two parallel accounts and charging me with fee's on the higher rate account that I didn't approve of. They can call til hell freezes over.
They've been calling repeatedly and saying that we owe money to SEARS. It's either an identity theft scam or a poorly-run collections business in Washington State trying to produce "good results" by making a lot of bad calls.

I have gotten many calls from this number. A few weeks ago, I told them the person they were looking did not live at this number. I get at least 1 call a day from these people. When I called, I spoke to Melissa who was very rude and hung up on me. I then called the again and spoke to another person Andrea, she confirmed that my number would be removed from their system and I would not receive anymore calls from them. From what I can gather, this is a collections group of some kind.
This number has been calling me for days - weeks, even sundays, as late as almost 9 p.m. they never leave a message or you answer and no one is there. they call at least once a day or more.

this number's been calling for at least a week or so. when the answering machine pics up, they hang up. when i finally answered, they asked for my wife. if i say she's not here, they quickly hang up.
the other day, i said to 'em, "look, you keep calling for my wife. is this something I can help you with?"
they gave me an impossible "past due AT&T bill" story with a small piece of a previous address (although suspiciously incomplete).
when I asked if they could email/fax the information so I could look it over, they said they could only send it by mail.
I didn't give any current details and was able to get a callback number and an "account/file number" as well as a contact name, none of which I believe to be legit.
sounds to me like they're identity thieves trying to complete an information gap.

They say "hey Melissa give me a call 866-212-7408" you can hear the other people working in the back ground. Sadly for them I'm not Melissa and I refuse to answer any of their calls. After reading this page I plan to report them to any and all agencies I can for harassment because that's what they are doing plain and simple.

i have gotten tons of this tn calling
called this morning. i didn't recognize the number, and ignored the call. they didn't leave a voice mail.
This Receivables PE called months ago and I called back and they said they would take me off their list. Now they have started calling again. Once and only once did they leave a message and it was for some other guy with a similar name. Can't we shut these guys down?

I don't even have Sprint and never have and this number 425-984-6248 Caller ID says Receivables PE Is calling me 5 times a day at least...I never pick up and they never leave a voice mail so what's the deal???

they try every trick in the book; their "clients" are anyone they think they can fake you out with; these are harassment calls trying to get money any way they can; they don't care about truth

if they get enough complaints, maybe, just maybe, something will get done

I am getting tiered of them calling. They are rude and very unprofessional. They say I owe 300 and something dollars for an MCI bill. I have never used MCI and when I requested a copy of the bill(That was from 7 yrs ago) they tell me they can't give it to me. I'm sorry but I won't pay for something that I have never used.
Add us to the list of lucky people getting calls from this place. We had Sprint at one time, if that's who it is, and they were bought by someone else. We still have phone service with the new co. - no balance - so no idea why they call around the clock, sometimes only a few minutes apart. No one there when answered. I reported to FTC, whatever good that is, and will continue reporting to someone until they stop calling and will try what others have above. This is insane and should be stopped. I can't believe there is no recourse in this day and age for what is just plain harrassment for no good reason. Unreal.
We receive calls from this number everyday. Finally, we got tired of it and used *69 to get the number, and then we called it back. A woman answered the phone, and when she was questioned as to who "Receivables PE" were, she became angry and started yelling. We told her that we were going to report Receivables PE for harrassment and hung up. We then reported the number to the phone company, and then tried calling them again. When we dialed the number again a voice said "This number is not in service."
They called numerous times and never left a message. I could never answer my phone in time before they would hang up, and we're talking only after about 2-3 rings.
These guys have been calling me saying I owe Sprint money, but I use Sprint as my phone company right now, and my account has a zero balance. They won't quit calling, so I cent them a Cease and Desist letter via certified mail with return receipt. They received the letter yesterday and I haven't heard anything yet.

These people call and harrass you continually. IT IS A SCAM. Do not give them any information!! Do not answer any questions!!! Do what someone recommended and ask for Robert Polis or Howard George, you will get a person, and tell them to remove you. Also file the complaint with Washington state AG per the link posted here.
When they first called they asked for my daughter. I told them that she hasn't lived her for 6 years. The individual said they would remove my number but apparently they didn't. I get 2 to 4 calls a day. Nobody ever says a thing...I end up with a dead line. I am sick of this.
I get calls from this clown too. They don't call quite as often sa any other, around the 2-3 times a day range but I think its becasue I never answer it. If you are having trouble with them then block the number and don't answer any suspicious numbers. What telemarketers do is they send out "trackers" which are essentially automated calls that record wheterh you answer and when. This way, they know when to have a real person call you.
They keep calling and when you answer they tell you to hold. When they get on the line you say hello they hang up. How do you stop this.

This number has been calling me everyday and when i answer they put me on hold. I usually just hang up but today i waited and was told i owed money from 3 yrs ago. When i asked them the name of the companies they listed a bunch that i have never had credit cards with except one and i know i'm in good standing with them. WHen i told them to stop calling me the lady started yelling at me telling me i don't pay my bills and when they call back next time i'll owe 3x as much. She was seriously yelling at me.. i just hung up.
they called this morning, I have caller ID and since I did not recognize the company or area code because I worry about fraud so I did not answer thinking if it was importtant they would leave a message which they did not. This is very annoying - at least 5 calls per day including the weekend. I haven't a clue since I don't owe anyone money.
I too have been getting calls from this 425-984-6248. It shows up on my caller i.d. as Receivables Performance Management. There is never anybody on the line and they usually hang up after 2 to 3 rings. They call all day starting early in the morning and Sundays. I have never done business with Sprint,have perfect credit and no debts of any kind. Someone had my number before I had it that apparently had of financial issues because we did get collection calls for her for the 1st year we had this # but that was 6 yrs ago. I will file a complaint or do whatever I can to put a stop to these calls as it is VERY ANNOYING.
First time a man called looking for a Lydia Ramirez. I said he most have the wrong number because she does not live here. Since then this week I have received about five calls from them and put me on hold and they hang-up immediately.

I get calls all hours of the day from this company looking for Joseph Carr. Never heard of him, nor have i ever had sprint as my coverage. It is sad that they cant seem to track the correct people down and harrass them for a change.
I used my callerID to contact the phone number and simply listened to see if they would hang up. The operator said hello, hello, then used her computer system to IDENTIFY the number I used to call in and then "talked" to me - saying (my name) I know it's you and I'll note that you returned our call and didn't say anything so that the next operator knows what you're doing. Anyone who receives this type of call from this agency should contact the FCC as a violation of any complaint you may be having. Thebackground is this: if you have an issue with SPrint or receive calls from this company in regards to Sprint, please contact the FCC and file a complaint outlining what they have done. As I already have a complaint resolved with the FCC re: Sprint I will be sending the FCC another complaint letter regarding the fact that Sprint ignored their resolution. The "upper" management does listen when the FCC talks so don't give up if Sprint or RPM calls you to harass you!!
Since Wed., we have received 7 calls a day from this company. Yesterday, my method was just to hang up on them.Today, the BF picked up and asked them to remove our # from their list -- they were looking for someone who no longer lives at this # (if that person did it wouldn't matter as this is a scam anyway) -- when we asked for them to take our # off of their list, they asked for the #, in disbelief that they needed the #, we asked and then person hung up on us. Bastards!!!!
This is such a scam. I feel terrible for those people who get suckered into this. This company has bought "bad" accounts from Sprint and other companies, and there scam is to call and collect money. Sprint and other companies should be penalized for doing this and putting former companies' clients in danger w/this scam.

I recieved a call from 425-984-6248. Upon answering there was no responce. I looked up the number that was on caller id. I have never done any business with Sprint and I'm on the national don't call list. I retired from AT&T and would never use Sprint as my toll carrier. What bugs me most is calls where there isn't a responce. If this is a machine automaticly making these calls, it should be against the law. I'm sure this isn't the only company that's guilty of this practice.
They keep calling last week we had 24 phone calls from 2 different numbers 425-984-6248 and 866-212-7408. They keep showing up on caller ID they call at all times of the day including Sundays.

This number called my WORK. I work for the Judicial system at that. They claimed they were trying to collect for AT&T. I don't ever remember having AT&T. Used an old PO box of mine as an address. When I asked them what physical address this phone line was hooked up to they said "the address I just gave you". I asked how I could have a phone hooked up at my local post office. He made some comment about it being possible. After laughing I told him it doesn't take much common sense to know I can't have a phone hooked up at my local post office. He made reference to a cell phone at that moment I told him I know it isn't me because I never used AT&T as a cell provider. They also used my maiden name from 7 years ago. Thankfully I never gave them my current address, current name, etc.. and told them to never call my job again. They did ask for my current address and I told them they can send me as many notices as they wish but unless they provide the phone number that is on the account they say I owe or a physical address or anything explaining what these charges are for I'm not paying anything out of my pocket. Thinking I'll never hear from them again. At least that better be the case.
Claimed I owed Sears $450 from years ago. When I asked for proof they said "we don't work that way." Well, I don't send off money on a blind call either.

I just filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office of Washington. This company does not respond; hopes you will give them your credit card, threatens to have your credit rating lowered and are unprofessional.
I am not a Washington resident, don't use Sprint (which was not mentioned) so I Googled the AG office. Filing a complaint was not difficult.
Respectfully suggest those having trouble with this group, take the time to complain and ask that the number they call be removed from their list, and if this is a scam they be prevented from scaring people who might be fooled.
They called my cell phone which is weird concidering my provider is Cingular, not Sprint. I've never dealt with them nor wish to. I called them and told them I looked them up. The lady hung up. How rude... If I catch them calling again I WILL get nasty with them.

I've called them many times to inform them that they have the wrong number and to cease calling, they keep calling all hours of the day and have forced me to file a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry. I don't even own a cell phone. This is total harassment

I sent this outfit a certified letter telling them to stop the calls or I would complain to the Wa State AG. The same day I got the return receipt back, I sent the AG a formal complaint along with a copy of my letter and a copy of the return receipt. I have not gotten a call in almost 3 weeks. Maybe they got the message.
Very aggressive and jump the gun on collections. My bill was in review NOT collections. I talked to Sprint and made arrangements with them but RPM still calls. When answering these calls they insist I pay THEM and not Sprint. Terrible tactics.

I forgot to mention that we got a call from "Receivables" this morning just before 8:00AM.
Friday PM when I was at the Post Office getting my cease-and-desist letter registered for return receipt, the postal clerk told me that there have been literally hundreds of letters to this outfit, all getting retrun receipts in this one P.O. alone. This is the Orchards, Wa P.O. There is apparently a great many people who are unhappy, shall we say, with this gang of hoodlums. Next weekend I am going to Lake Stevens to my Grandson's. On the way I may just stop by this outfit and hand deliver my letter, in case they routinely shred the letters without reading them.

These people keep ringing my phone at work. I have no idea what it concerns. I have not returned the calls. Most of the time, they just ring the phone up to 4 times a day, they leave no message, but about a month ago, the voice Named "William", left a message and told me I, or my LAWYER, needed to call them back RIGHT NOW. The guy to old me it was about an outstanding amount to GE that is 3 years hold and that it shows on my credit report. I had no idea what he was talking about and I asked that he tell me what account this is and he said "it's a GE account and I have no more information. You should know." I told him I don't know what he is talking about then he mentioned an address and I said it's not my address. He said okay and disconnected the call.

I have received 2 calls from this number. The second was this morning. I didn't recognize anything the man said except the 800 number he gave me. I called the 800 number, they are a firm of personal injury attorneys. They have nobody there who could have called me.

I just recieved a call from this number, a hang up. RPM has other clients than Sprint, I have a legitimate debt with them that I've been trying to pay off, but just today I recieved a letter stating that they had taken a sum of $150.00 from my checking account at the end of December, when they were NOT authorised to do so. There have been other complaints about the company, too. I advise that anyone dealing with them should use caution, and not divulge checking account numbers :)

About two weeks ago I began receiving calls from this number and 4259846247 and it comes up on my caller id with either one of the above numbers. Finally, I got flustered because they did not leave messages and when I answered one of the calls I said, "quit calling this number," and slammed the phone down. Then a Tom Rice called back and said, "please call 18663671866 because I did not hear what you were screaming." I was hot and started to call and curse him out but decided to leave it be. I will take action once I receive a letter from him.

I think it's some type of collection agency. When I've answered their calls I hear a recorded message that says "this message is for Jennifer XXXXX" (not me), and then gives a menu of options. I've tried all the options just in an attempt to get to a live person and it never works. I recommend calling the toll free number I mentioned at the beginning of my message.

Seems this RPM guys like to call every damn day, it just rings twice and they hang up. i already had a going at it with them, quite an argument and i told them that i never ever wanted to see a Sprint flyer, Sprint offers, Sprint Calls, not ever ever again i wanted to know about Sprint and that i was never in my life was going to get sprint as my cellphone provider. not only do they ripp you off but their service is the worst there is. If you guys are having the same problem, you have to be serious with them. And no i have not see any sprint mail or flyers at home, exept for this darn number.

This company has been calling me for quiet some time. Several times per. day and Sundays. Fornately I do have caller I.D. and have just started ignoring the calls. I don't even keep my ringer on anymore, because it is such a nuesnance. I know that is from RPM and I have already talked to them in the past. I turned a Sprint bill over to a debt consolidation company and they are being paid every month. Is there anything that can be done about this problem?

I have rec'd 15 phone calls from this co. today. They ask for the same person (Tony Clark) and when I tell them I dont know that person, they tell me they will romove my # from their computer. Within 5 minutes, I get another call. I have now filed a formal complaint identifying (if they gave their real names) the callers with the Washington State Attorney Generals Office. The calls are coming from the the area code 425 which is a suburb of Seattle,WA.
