I get these calls alot. When I answer, no one is there. I am getting sick of it.

Alex Deidi calls my house. Says he is with RPM. (Debt collectors). A real jackass. Asks me over and over if I am Melvin. Says he will take my name out of the system if I am not Melvin. Instead, no matter how many times I tell him, "there is no Melvin here and to stop calling my number", the jackass just keeps asking if I am Melvin.

Nothing will deter him. He's like a broken record. Am I Melvin? How do these people keep from getting shutdown?

Keep getting calls from 425-984-6247 a couple of times a day for the past week or so on my cell. Found out their tollfree number is 888-425-9175. Just spoke to someone there and requested that my number be removed from their system immediately; she said it will take them 24 hours to do so. We'll see...

If you have not received written correspondence from this company within 5 days of their first call to you concerning a consumer debt (that they have probably purchased for 1 penny on the dollar), this agency is in violation of the FDCPA. They must send you a written communication that they are attempting to collect a debt and that written communication must have the "validation notice" and the "mini-miranda" contained on the notice. If you have been receiving the calls for an extended period of time with no written communication at all, each call is a violation of the FDCPA and is actionable. Save your call records and contact an attorney that specializes in litigation against collection agencies. I am the director of a NJ collection agency and this type of behavior from a collection agency is horrible. Defend your rights. File suit against them.

Got a call from this number and it states "we have a call for you" and male gets on the phone i tell them they have the wrong number.

That God for this site. I had this number call my cell phone numerous times. Every time I answer, they would hang up. Finally, I called this number back. She answered the phone and I said why do you keep calling my number I do not know anyone from area code 425. She said I am looking for husband's name) and I told her I was his wife. She told me she was from Embarq and we had an outstanding bill that I needed to take care of and she could take care of it over the phone right now. I told the lady I was driving and I could not give her that information.
She said she would call me back. She hasn't called back, but if she does.....God help her!!!!!!

A very old college roommate got a call from this number and a girl asked for me. He called me and gave me the number. When I called they said they were trying to collect a Verizon debt from 4 years ago. I told her I found that confusing because I was still a customer of Verizon and they had never told me any such thing. She then asked how I wanted to make immediate payment. I asked to see something in writing and that I would not be giving her my credit card over the phone. She said they had already mailed information out several times and that they could not do it again. None of it really added up.

I am so glad I found this site! I thought I was the only one being harassed by this "company"! I am reading on what all to do to get them to stop. Has anyone thought about suing these people?

"RPM" just called. The guy's name was Kevin. He told me I had an outstanding NYNEX bill and that if I paid right now, he would drop the payment 25%. I tried to get some information, a phone number, information about the company, etc. Kevin was very dodgie. Finally he said his final offer was to drop my bill 50% if I gave him my checking information immediately. Red flags! Do not give any information to these guys! This is a scam. Perhaps they have an honest side to them, but I agree with many of the other writers. Call the attorney general's office in Seattle!

Their web site claims they are a (legitimate) debt collector and their behavior does back that up (cryptic messages, constant calling). They could easily slide in scams or simply have bad data (more likely). I've had several after someone who gave my number years ago. I just don't answer anymore. You can tell them their target isn't at your number, but they don't believe you or call back later anyway.

"Linda" called and said I owed AT&T $94.63 and how would I like to pay it right now. She said they accept checks and credit cards over the phone. I told her I had no knowledge of this accouint and to send me any documentation supporting this. She refused. When I asked her address, she refused. When IO asked to speak to her supervisor, she refused. I have a current AT & T account and I called them. They told me there is no record of me owing them the aforementioned amount. They are a scam, not a collection agency. If they call you, record it if you can, itr'll make a GREAT fraud case. I did some research and they have a P.O. Box number 768 in Bothell, Washington 98041 and their company name is Receivables Performance Management

Call as many as three times aday and hang-up before you can answer it or you get a recording and this happens 7 days a week what can you do ? Call your Attorney General Comsumer Protection and file a complaint about this company and it practices.

I got a call this afternoon from this outfit and sort of guessed it was a collection agency. I got trapped into another agency situation a couple of years ago and went online to the FTC. They have a complaint form to complete online which I did. Never received another call. Will do the same if these people call one more time.

These people are very rude, and have a bad habit of calling very early in the morning in a household here that runs on several schedules. At my request that they stop calling so early, the gentleman started yelling at me and hug up on me. I *69'd them and called back for a supervisor. My suspicion is they are a debt collection agency because they always ask for my roommate who is never home.

I have gotten several calls from this number. Whenever I pick up the phone there is no one there. I got tired of getting these calls and called the number back. A few nights ago, someone actually answered and put me on hold and of course never came back to the phone. I received another call just minutes ago and called them back and this time no one answered. This is getting extremely annoying. I wish someone would do something about this situation.

These people call and ask for a person who doesnt even live here. I have called them back 3 times and they tell me that they didnt call when i give them my number. Last time I said then how the hell would I get your number! They still call at least twice a week if not more!

These poeple have been calling my phone up to 12 times a day. I had to let my voice mail fill up so that they couldn't leave any more of their prerecorded messages. I have no idea what it is for and from reading the other complaints here, I know that i do not owe any debts

I was getting calls (from 6248 too) at all times of the night and day but they only let it ring once usually and never a message. Finally I called back, someone asked my phone number and when I asked who was calling she was beyond rude saying I should call back when I was willing to take care of my bill and hung up on me! I called the other number and was put on hold forever and called other # again, different person answered:
"RPM", I gave my cell # and the person didn't hesitate to take my number off their list when I said I wasn't the person they wanted. We'll see. But this site made me feel a lot better. Guess misery likes company!

Their 'state of the art dialers are probably IP based also. these people sound like they are doing fishing scams as well as scamming legitimate companies that are outsourcing their debt collections.

They call my house looking for my wife using her maiden name which she hasn't used in 10 years. They say it is either a Gateway or Spiegels bill. Neither of which we have had. They also change how much we owe. They won't stop calling so now I play with them. I just keep saying hello like an old person till they hang up, or I accuse them of being the annoying neighbor kids and am gonna call the police. It generally freaks em out for a minute. There has to be a way to trace the call back to whatever shit hole they live in. It isn't like they work in the RP hq. If anyone knows of a trace program post here and we can begin to call back the jerks who call us at all hours of the day and night.

I have twelve calls from this number in a weeks time. No one answers the phone during the day and they leave no message. In the evening we do not answer the phone if we do not know who it is. Maybe we should answer and lay the phone down. It has to be long distance if they are harassing so many people.

I see from the comments that they are a collection agency for Sprint or other wireless companies and seem to be fraudulent. I got a call today on my caller id from 425-984-6247. I googled it and it brought me to this site. When I tried to call this number back it just rang and rang then a recording said "we're sorry your call cannot be answered" and hung up on me. I have no idea who they are or what they want.

I have received two calls from this number, the calls have been late, around 9 or so. I have not answered the calls, and the caller has not left messages. It's kind of weird.

I've gotten numerous calls from this asshole who is calling at all hours and days. Luckily, I've read all the comments and refuse to answer the phone. Other ID calls have come up as Bothell, WA. I suggest that we all grab a bullhorn or whistle and let them have it when you hear a live body respond. Maybe they won't call back again.

Thank God I found this website.This outfit has been calling me for a week now regarding a 2000 acct with at and t wireless.I never had an account with them.I have asked for proof .They refuse.They won't tell me how to reach at and t wireless.I am now sure that this is a scam.They also told me I could pay them with a credit card.I refused.I guess i just won't answer them any more but I wish the calls would stop.I hate this!

Started receiving calls from this number this morning, EST. I dont answer calls I dont recognize. Calls keep coming. I never answer them because I don't know who they are! Isn't this illegal?

I also get these calls 4 to 6 times a day and 7 days a week with either dead air, call cuts off at two rings, no message on the machine, etc. I have called it back on several occasions and get dead air or some general mail box that cuts you off before you can leave a message. I took Greg K's info, thankyou, and emailed the Senior Director, Robert Polus telling him that I was extremely unhappy with the calls and that he needed to have my name, number, and my husbands cell number removed immediately from his companies list. If any of his clients have a debt that I have somehow missed paying, that he can let them know to send me a bill directly from their company and I will handle it, but I was not going to give an unknown company my credit card or bank information. I also let him know that I was reporting his company to the Washington Attorney General, the FTC, and the Dept. of Justice. I think that if enough of us flood his email, the AG's email, the DofJ's email, and the FTC's emails with complaints we might just get this stopped....at least I hope so.

Will continue letting the answering machine frustrate them.

I sent RPM a letter demanding they cease and desist with their calls and to take my phone off the call list. I also sent off a complaint to the FTC and am sending them a copy of the letter I wrote to RPM. We'll see what happens now.

Just received a call from this number I didnt answer.
Found a few links that led me here, one link staes that sprint uses this compant as a collection agency. I do not have service with Sprint and I am in good standing with my credit companies, Why would they be calling me ?

We got a call from them yesterday - the person on the line was rude - refused to give me any information on the supposed "debt" - said that if I wanted to know what it was for, then I should "pull out your (my) checkbook and LOOK IT UP!" She got angry and abusive and I finally had to hang up on her. We called the company we supposedly had a past due bill with, MCI, and they have no record of it. I think it might be a scam, too. I've been getting calls from this number at least 5 days a week, an average of 5 times per day for months. Early on a woman left a rude message ("You know what this is about Jill, you need to pay your debt".) About 50% of the time they do not leave any message. When they do, it is consistently either 1)they are looking for David (?) or 2) a woman says she has something "really important" to talk about.
The caller ID verbage varies, though the number is always the same. Caller ID may say 'Incoming Call' or:Out of Area" or "Unavailable".

My husband has been receiving calls from the same numbers, 425-984-6247 and 6248 since October. These people are ridiculous! They claim they are a third-party debt collection agency, and that my husband has a Consumer Reports bill that was owed back in '97 that needs to be paid. Of course, he doesn't remember any of that, because he's never HAD a bill from Consumer Reports during that time period. All these so-called "debt collectors" do is continue to harass us, and it's aggravating. My husband has consistently asked this agency to send him an invoice or bill, and they haven't done so. It would probably be mail fraud, because I don't believe this "collection agency" is legit. We're going to contact our Atty. General and the FTC on these idiots. If there are enough people contacting them (FTC and the AG), maybe the collection agency will get the message and back off, or get sued.

I get calls from this number all the time from 8:30AM until 8:45PM. They never leave a message and the one time I actually answered on a Sunday night at 8:45pm the woman was rude. She never identified herself properly and when I asked what it was in reference to, she said it was about a debt. I never received any written communication from the supposed place that is owed money and it does not appear on my credit. When I asked her a few more questions, she got irritated and didn't respond to them and then hung up! Since then, I have gotten 3 more calls and no messages! They also call from 425-984-6248.

I've received a call from both 425-984-6247 & 425-984-6248. I called the number at RPM that Jackson gave 800-618-6415 and spoke to a man who told me they were trying to reach my husband at this number and that they were trying to collect on an unpaid Eddie Bauer card from 1996. We have checked our credit reports regularly and there is no claim for an unpaid eddie bauer card. The man on the phone told me I could pay it with my credit card over the phone. When I got angry and refused he told me this is a debt that needs to be paid and I told him they're illegit and there was no way in hell i was giving him ANY information and he starting getting angry and telling me he didn't have to listen to me badger etc. etc. The numbers showed in the Caller ID and I've received several a day since Sunday, Oct 29 in the am.

I found out more details on this number. A different individual named Lin Williams at ext. 1039 said that their was a Spiegel collection of $977.xx for some mail order catalogue crap. Here's the call back number RPM (800) 6186415. Hope this helps.

I get calls at random times, sometimes 5 times in a row from the same number: 425-984-6247. sometimes message is left- same one every time. it sounds like a machine of a woman speaking pretending to be a friend of mine with urgent news, then gives me a number to call. i don't pick up anymore obviously, but the calls don't stop. This must be illegal and something should be done to stop it.

We get calls from this number and then there is the please hold and then no person comes on at all.

I get these calls every weekend either on saturday evening or Sunday night always after 7pm. Always a recorded voice saying I have a important call for then another recording says my name and then the first recording says to please hold on for a important call. I hang up i wait for no one if they want to talk to me do not use a recording.

When I picked up the phone, a message was playing saying something to the effect of "please hold the line for an important phone call..." I hung up before being connected-I suspect some political party or platform type call.

I get calls from this number all the time. When I pick up , there is a recorded voice saying 'making connection' or something like that. I've always hung up before that happens. Now I just ignore the calls. I've also gotten calls from a woman at 425-984-6246, who leaves messages saying she has something 'really important' to talk about, and i should call her back at her 800 number. Needless to say, I've never returned one of those calls...
