How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

They just called us, some sort of company looking asking questions on our opinion of the country...they called now 3 times...I didn't take the time....not my cup of tea.
They called again. Its a company called "Net Opinions" who want your opinion on some garbage.
They must have a bad dialing machine, they just called but there is nobody there, its not connecting them properly. They should stop bugging us. Somebody lay the smack down on them already.

They won't leave a message if I'm not at home.It shows Ontario Call.They have also called with the number 416-847-9898.When I did answer and asked if they were running a senior scam they hung up.So I have not had a chance to tell them not to call my telephone number again.
416-847-9850 is a "research" company from Ontario. They've been calling me twice daily for the last two weeks - they never leave a message. I've answered twice and they asked me if I'd like to participate in a "survey". Like, "What it's like to live in Illinois?" or "My Opinion about Gun Laws in my state?" --- Just say no and tell them to take you off their list. Otherwise they will keep calling. Hopefully this works!!
This number has called 3 times the past 2 days. Also received calls from 416-847-9898 & 416-847-9882 that also show as "Ontario Call". Google turned up nothing on any of them, except 1 hit on this site for the 9850 number. Tried calling them back & after a long dead silence a msg that said "your call can not be completed as dialed"

Yep, Called me at 8 PM EST (I was out). Caller ID just says "Ontario." No message left.
They are fundraising for something. They have called evenings, etc.

Whoever this is, they've called me twice. They never leave a message. If I do a reverse phone number lookup, I learn that noone has that number!
