Received several harassing calls and hang-ups. This is about a billing dispute. Caller has called me names, commented that I have no legal right to dispute this matter, made demands... This caller is definitely out of line -- this matter is on the way to court and they apparently have no idea of the damage they are doing to themselves.

this is Rogers - they call every month - I've explained I pay my bills on 15th NOT first and have told them I will not allow them to dictate WHEN I pay my bills to them - and yes, my bills are paid - I so wish I did NOT have to use Rogers - I only use them for cable - Telus oh Telus - cable in Ontario coming any time soon???

Caller does not id themselves when i answered. This is a computerized call that takes about 15 seconds for the computer to transfer this call to a human. If you hang up before the 15 second transfer the computer records that you answered the phone and hung up. Then the redials start coming and coming and coming.

Best to let it ring and not answer or answer and wait for a human to talk to you.

How do you get this number to stop calling, This is about the 5th time. I just ignor the call as I have no idea where or who it's from. Also, I have no ROGERS accounts, only TELUS..

3 calls on my home phone and 2 on my pay as you go. Called the number back and it was Rogers customer service. I've told them before to put me on their do not call list, several times before it got there. I moved and was able to cancel my cable, but stuck with a cell phone and a pay as you go phone. Apparently buying a new phone allows them to harass yet again.

Definitely Rogers. This time checking up on whether my plan was right for me. Others have reported calls from this number for overdue bills. There is a long pause before someone answers.. it's probably an autodialer and only transfers to a human being when you answer.

I emailed them about this and this is the response I got.

It's Rogers. Due date is 25th of each month. And if you don't pay, they call you the very next day and annoy the living shit out of you until you do pay. It is their Friendly Courtesy call of course.

It can't be because the account is past due. I just activated a new pay as you go phone. No one has my number and I don't owe Rogers any money. That number has been calling twice a day since I got the phone. Every time I answer there is dead air and then it hangs up.

It's Rogers calling because your account is "past due". The "dead air" is the pause before the recording kicks in: it's an autodialler. My opinion is this: if I forget to pay my bill by the due date, and they charged me $8 and change in late fees (which they do), then they can wait until the NEXT due date to get my payment for all of it! After all, they've charged me a fee to have that option extended to me, as far as I'm concerned. But of course, they'll call 4 or 5 times each day to annoy you, and sometimes they'll block their number display to try to fool you. Take my advice: don't try to argue with these chimps. Hit ignore, try not to forget to pay your bill by the due date, and keep browsing the web for better deals from other less-annoying providers.

99% certain it is collections for Rogers -- Rogers and any of their other companies (e.g. Fido). This means that it is not Rogers that is calling but the company IQOR that Rogers has sub-contracted to do their collections. So, if you do own Rogers any money and aren't prepared to make an immediate credit card payment to IQOR, don't answer. IQOR will not make arrangements, nor are they authorised by Rogers to do so -- their sole goal is to get the amount owing from you asap. Please Note: IQOR staff are liars, they will tell you that you can make payment arrangements -- though that is not the case -- they are attempting to obtain more information about you so that they can better harrass you until you make that credit card payment to them for the full ammount. If you do owe Rogers, call them direct.

Rogers Wireless called to sell one of their upgrades to the Blackberry + $15 a month email plan.

Just got off of the phone with Roger's Wireless (*611). I first called tech support who transferred me to customer service. They said it was an automated dialer normally used to sell stuff to people. The girl I spoke with didn't know why I was in their system. She ended up taking my number off of the "to call" list that Roger's apparently has to do telemarketing-type stuff.

The entire phone call took about 14 minutes, 35 seconds.

416 is a Toronto area code. Thought it was someone I knew who may have gotten a new phone or something. Nope, no answer. Called again and didn't leave a message.

This number just called me 3 times consecutively in the last 5 minutes. I am a Rogers Wireless customer. My account is paid automatically so it is not possible that the bill is overdue... this is telemarketing crap. Any time someone calls you and there's no one there, it's likely a filthy bastard telemarketer trying to determine at what times of the day you answer your phone, ultimately to trick you into talking to them.

Hypothetically, if Rogers made random calls from a land-line and heard static, etc. You should pay for the call. If you don't, then you are using your air minutes increasing your likelihood to pay extra at the end of the month. The number is used consistently, and seems to go back towards Roger's. If no overt fraudulent activity is hapenning, then one wonders why such calls would occur at all.

Once in a while there's an actual person on the other end, calling about customer satisfaction surveys, which I always tell them I don't want to participate in because they are annoying, and these people always call at the worst times of day. My girlfriend bought a wireless sub. from Rogers two weeks ago, now we are getting calls with "Rogers Comm" listed on the call display and no one on the other end when the phone is answered. occasionally 5 min later another call will come though as "Unknown"...Rogers too. The "customer service" dept was uncooporative and perfered to argue the point as to why they had the right to call..("they run a business and therefore have a right to call"). I've filed a complaint against them with Telus as they are my home service provider and I pay for an unpublished number (not listed in the phome book & not given out by directory assistance)For anyone that thinks they are only calling for late payment, you're wrong. I was told they have multiple depts that call(most of which are nothing more than telemarketing lines. With the "self rightous, arrogant attitude" I was met with when I called Rogers to get it resloved, don't be suprised if your personal information is being sold to other telemarketers too.

David you are right. depending on who you talk to over there. some say no problem i have made a note not to call but i still get the calls even though i always make my payment on time. I have yelled on many occasions as like i said before it's just their way of harrasing us... I usually make my payments 2-3 days before the Due date and the only thing they tell me is that i should make my payments 7 days prior to the due date to ensure that payment is made on time as it takes 7 days for them to process a online payment... that's royaly screwed up. I really wish they would figure out that most online payments usually get transfered to their accounts the same day.....

I actually answered once or twice just to have Roger's Canada's Collections computer ask me to please hold while it transfers my call to a collections agent. and this is the Credit Department 's computer calling as you haven't paid your bill even if you have paid your bill already. It really pisses me off as they cause you to waste my time while i wait for someone to actually answer the fone. i don't actually answer any more as it's just another form of harrasment by big corporations.

They called at 9am. No idea who it is as they didn't leave a message. I'm not with Rogers, never have been. So it's not Rogers for me.

Unknown name and nothing but static

I received the same loud unintelligible phone call from this number today. I also received a voicemail with the same garbled sounds last week. Extremely annoying.

Sounded like a chainsaw when I picked up. After 3 minutes the number cut off on its own.

This number called me twice today,but I didn't pick my cell phone up. I live in BC, and this number is in Toronto somewhere. Like a month ago, this number called me 3 times in one day, also, I didn't answer it, cause I never take stranger's calling.

416-645-2105. That number just called me and left a message. It was very loud, sounded like a chainsaw and static. Someone was talking but it was too noisy and there was too much static to understand what the person was saying

I had the same caller twice
Once last Sat 3/24/07 and just now on Mon 3/26/07
the voice mail was noisy with static and a man's voice sounds as it was an automatic recording.
I had the voice mail pick up for both calls and now I will block that number.
For caller ID it was just the number 416-645-2105

Just called a minute ago, and it was a loud, screeching, static number. They left a message last week, the same sound.

Phone call 3:14 today. sounded like a chainsaw for 45 seconds.

got a voicemail from this number today that was about 45s of total noise. I don't know whether the noise came from the source or my phone provider (Vonage).

We got this call 3 times today. We didn't know any one who are using this number.

I called the number back (Rogers) and let their Technical Support know what's been happening to everyone and asked them to trace back the call history on my phone and check their internal logs (behind the trunk number) to track down whomever's doing this in their company. They thanked me for the heads up.

Received the same "buzz saw/static/guy in the distance talking but you can't understand him" call from this number today. Judging from everyone elses experiences lately, it's someone making prank calls through the Rogers system. Damn kids.

This is a Rogers wireless telephone number, technically all of the Rogers stores kiosks and call centres are contracted through other companies, it could be a call for any reason, overdue bills, confirmation on payments, or arrangements for installations or promotional offers.
If there is no answer on the other end then the auto dialer is having difficulties and I suggest you contact rogers immediately to prevent service interruption.

Sounded like static. There may be been a man talking in the background. All I could really hear was static!

Very long and creepy static message was left by this "Unknown Name" phone number. Sounds like you could almost hear a guy speaking very slow with lots of static.

I got a similar call to the above few people: something garbled and static-y, no intelligible words.

I just recieved a call from this number and there was a very bad connection on the other end. Called it back and it is Rogers. Must be about bills ect.

I got a call from there and didn't answer. A message was left and like above, it was very staticy, and you could hear a voice speaking in the background, butcan't understand it because of the static. The message was about 30 seconds. I actually do owe some money on my cable bill so it is possible that this is wha tthey are calling for. I have received calls from Rogers in the past asking if my service was satisfactory. Can't say that it was the same number as I don't recall.

The line was to staticky (if that is even a word). Called it back and it was forwared to Rogers.

Same, called home #, and many times on my cell phone.. never messages, and bill is also up to date. However, Rogers seems to always do this around payment time.

KTL, stop calling people idiots, you idiot. it is not rogers calling to bug you about unpaid bills--my bill is automatically paid by visa every month. i have received two or three calls from this number every day for the last 10 days at least.

It's not just for unpaid bills- I don't even use Rogers, not even for my landline phone and they're calling me every week to sell crap!

I got 4 missed calls and when they called again and I answered it hung up. I called back and it was rogers trying to collect a past due account. I was only 3 days late on my bill. So don't be late on your bills.

They call me 2 or 3 times a day every day for the last week. No messags left. Usually around 11:30am and 4:00pm.

This is a Rogers number on a rotary system. They have hundreds or thousands of actual lines and when it dials out it picks an available line, but always lists this number. Rogers uses this number to confirm appointments, check customer satisfaction, remind you of overdue accounts. I have answered this call. A recording will come on after about 5 seconds asking you to hold for a message, and if a rep is available, you get the rep, and if one isn't available, they ask you to call a number, depending on the reason for the call.

I just got a call from 1 (416) 645-2105, it's an automated call from Rogers confirming an appointment I made to change my Rogers connection from my old home to my new home.
Its probably a contracting company Rogers uses, therefore not officially a Rogers number.

I called Rogers Wireless (611) and they said that they have no connection with this phone number.

When I looked up the number in Bell's reverse directory - it is a landline registered to Allstream. No other information.

I've had 7 calls. No messages on 2 different phone lines. (land & cell). When I've answered the phone, there is only silence on the other end

Calls 4 - 5 times a day and never leaves a message starting since December 14 2006. Annoying and ignorant.

Called and said it was Rogers Wireless. Wanted to know if everything was ok with my account. I asked him some details that only they should know and he knew them.
