Received call today and was told I will receive $200.00 toward a cruise or a hotel room in Orlando, Fla. I was told to go to Surveyclaim.com The only thing at that sight it to claim on lawsuits of different kinds. Whats up with this? I guess this is the only way these people can get you to fill out there surveys. Please don't play games with the people that is cruel.

I got the same phone call today it said answered some questions and win a free cruise. then they said to log on to this web site and put your phone in and you can see the ship you take the cruise in. and they said that you will be call by a traval agent in 3 days.

I was given the impression that Dish TV was the sponser behind the call. I was asked if I wanted Dish and if I did to push 1 and wait for sales person. I didnt, I have DTV and wasnt interested but I took the survey by pushing the buttons as asked. My call came from a different number but the same information was given. Its probably a scam that may be tried later to use against you. I am going to contact the Attorney General's Office. I not sure if anything will be done about it.

I spoke to a rep and I asked if they would remove my number from their data base and all she would say "You don't want the trip, its all paid for and you have up to 18 months to use the tickets, etc." I'm waiting for their second call to give them hell.

Contact your local phone company to complain. I recently sued a caller (company) after my local phone company gave me their full address and legal name, it took 11 months, but i actually won a settlement for $1149.26 from them and they paid me and I never heard from them again.

My call came from 412-401-2952. The lady said go to surveyclaim.com & go to the center of the page & verify the info I gave them is correct & enter the address to mail my FREE passes to the Bahamas. Everything paid for. I did & there was nothing in the center of the page, top of the page or bottom of the page with anything about me except enter my email. Liar liar pants on fire .... shame on you. Karma is a very serious thing & you'll get yours one day.

I went through and did what the survey asked also. I was told that I would be called back in 2 to 3 days. I also was told to go to the surveyclaims site to claim my free cruise to the Bahamas for 2 people. I was asked at the end of the call by a computer if I wanted to get Homeland security. The installation and the security kit were free. I hit the #2 button to decline. I then heard a computer voice say "You Decline this offer,thanks for answering survey goodbye." Ummm so does that Mean I am not gonna get a call back for the cruise? I still have yet to go to the website. I appreciate the comments I read so far about the phone call. I will not do any more silly surveys.

Just for everyone to know. I found the website they want you to go to. The cruise and everything is free except your port charges and any taxes you have to pay. Its not really worth it because by time you pay all that you have done spent probably 500$ already. That does not even count the money you don't have just in gas to get to florida where the departure is. Its all crap. Save your money. Go to a park or something. Atleast that shit is free and gods not going to ask you to pay any stupid fees except to not litter. lol.

(**This was originally written to be sent to RPRSUCKS.com, but their site is currently FULL and not taking anymore letters, so I am using this forum to release some guilt and frustrations they I have been harboring. **)

First of all, I want to apologize to anyone who has been scammed by these 'people'. The reason I apologize is because for 3 LONG months I was an employee of this company at their verification office in Ft. Lauderdale.

I was not one of the sleaze ball sales people, nor could I have been. I was one of the people that read the never ending script describing the package you had bought. We were trained to stick to the script and to try and not give any other information if possible. We were not supposed to offer advice, information, or any other form of customer support as that was not our job, even though we were your last chance to 'escape'. Even though you had already given your credit card number to the 'salesperson' and it had been already been charged, it was our job to get you on tape (actually a computer file) so that you could not later say you didn't authorize the charge.

Even as I was being trained for the job I felt that this wasn't a 'honest' company, but tried to convince myself it was a 'buyer beware' business and that all I was doing was giving the customer what had been promised. During my training period I was taught EXACTLY how to respond to questions, and what NOT to say. Much of it also involved the 'good enough' answer, which wasn't a lie, but wasn't the whole truth either. Also, we were taught words which can be vague in their meaning depending upon who is saying it or doing it.

Another part of our training also involved listening to calls to see how it was done. This was when I knew I was just this side of a scam artist. The way people were treated by the 'salespeople' disgusted me. The way in which the package was presented let me know I was 'verifying' a 'scam'. And, of couse, we weren't so much as to utter the word 'time-share' EVER, not even amongst ourselves. (There were many times I'm sure I sounded like a total moron as I tried to find a way to tell you this was a 'tour'.)

As I continued my job and learned the scripts, which we weren't suppose to do (???????), I soon realized that we weren't screwing anybody out of anything, we were screwing them INTO something. Day after day, I left work feeling like I had just cleaned a septic tank by hand, but tried to convince myself that at least I wasn't one of the 'salespeople' that I heard harass, berate, and belittle our 'customers'. I heard elderly people being talked into buying packages, when it was clear they really didn't even understand what they were buying. I heard newlywed's being screwed out of a beautiful honeymoon and into a beautiful reason for a divorce; college students on their own with credit for the first time, being 'sold' into the credit trap so many of us have gotten into in our lives; and despondent people (due to death of a loved one, marriage breakups, etc) being given one more reason to be despondent. There were calls where people gave their checking account numbers in addition to their credit card number (with the 3 digit security code I might add) to pay for the deposits. Some people used 3 or 4 credit cards to find enough money to do this because otherwise RPR would 'have to give the package someone else'. And God forbid if you should try to back out of the deal after you had agreed to it. These 'salespeople' acted like you had just insulted their whole family and they were going to 'hunt you down'.

At this point, your probably wondering why the hell would I stay at such a place. To be honest with you, I wasn't going to stay. I wanted to run like hell, but I was a point in my life where I had very little opportunity to do anything else; the jobs which I was eligible for weren't available to me at the time, and I was scared. I have a family, had been out of work for weeks, and the thought of NOT taking the job was scarier than taking it was. Many of the people who worked there were in a similar situation to what I was. Some were young mothers who needed work or the extra job to take care of their families, many without anyone else to help them. Some were people who had no other education and were fighting to survive without doing something 'illegal'. Some were just getting back on their feet after years of abusive lives. Most of us were just good people fighting to make ends meet. And you could tell 'they' knew it too. The wages sucked, the hours were worse, and the way we were treated was at best like a dog that no one wanted. If by chance you tried to think for yourself, you were reminded to read the rulebook, and then asked to please check your brain at the door on the way in. Problems were handled with the 'Don't let the door hit ya where nature split ya' mentality. We even had a dress code to 'look more professional' (to who??? nobody ever saw us or came in ; can you say Control Freaks)

I know this doesn't let me or any of the others off the hook, but in some small way, that's why I'm here sending this to you today. It's seems to be the only way I'll ever be able to let go of the resentments I have towards myself and RPR. I'm still somewhat in fear today to even be telling you any of this (I'm still afraid to give my real name) because as part of working there, we had to sign a 'confidentiality' contract which said we would not release any of the company's information. However, at this point, it feels more like I signed a 'won't tell on us' contract. I'm sure if they had anything to gain from it, they would come after me with their high priced schiesters, I mean lawyers, and try to sue my ass off.

There are many things I have not said here to avoid crossing that 'illegal disbursement of company information' bullshit, that it almost feels like I've said nothing at all. So at this point, I guess all I can offer is my deepest apology to anyone who has been taken by these 'people', and offer any assistance that may be of use in making sure that a company like this gets what it, and others like it, 'deserve'. (I'm sorry about all the quotes, but they 'trained' me 'well' in the use of words.)

These scammers can call you because the do-not-call list has many exceptions. One of them is that if it's a "survey" company, they don't have to check the do-not-call list. It's nice to know how the government is helping to "prevent" telemarketers from contacting you with unwanted calls.

Then live person I asked her Who was calling me, company? She rushed into saying i'm cruise rep. to take ur name & number. had me repeat it, then pass me along. I've had the same call several times and decided to complete their so-called "survey". I answered all the questions randomly and usually picked #1 or #2. After I "won" the cruise, I was connected to a live operator. She asked my name and phone#. I gave my first name as Jack... the last name I spelled out (since it may have been too obvious)... M-e-o-f-f. Several years ago I had some annoying collect calls from somewhere. They may have been legitimate errors but they always came in the wee hours of the morning when I was asleep. They were all automated collect calls; when you answer, the computer asks you to say YES or NO or you hang up. You can place these automated calls by dialing 0 instead of dialing 1 before the area code and phone#. If you dial 1, you get charged. I'm not encouraging any one to do this. However, if your sure of the offending phone#, you could make an automated collect call from a phone booth, in the we hours of the morning, and use an appropriate name. If the person answers, and if they accept the charges, you can ask them to provide more info on the free cruise offer.

same message as reported here - win 2 free boarding passes in exchange for completing demographic survey - thought survey would be about cruising, but was not - just basic demographic detail like gener, age, what preferred payment type do I use at the grocery store (credit card, visa/debit card, cheque), do I have children after the survey call automatically redirected to a live person who confirmed postal code and phone number and preferred I would like to be contacted by a cruise representative (apparently within the next 72 hours).

Tried the website surveyclaim.com and it didn't work - meaning I got an error message saying could not connect to server (using IE). Used Firefox and message was stranger, saying that connection to the site was interrupted while in process. Hmmm....I'm thinking its a scam.

i am a corperate area director for T-Mobile USA. and regaurding the comment by "in the know" regaurding making a $500 claim against the company, dont waste your time, because as of december 26th 2008 the law listed (FTC Telecommunications Act of 1996) is no longer relevent, and these types of callers are now within right to call cell numbers. just tell them to please not call you again, and if problems persist it is always best not to get angry or heated, that is often what they want and why they make the calls. All you need to do is contact your provider and ask them to block the numbers from contacting you.

Did survey of 10 questions for free 2 day Bahama Cruise. Spoke with live operator at end. Asked if I was interested in free home security system, answered no. Ended call, no website found. I wouldn't have bothered but happened to be thinking about cruises just yesterday so temptation won me over. If it sounds too good to be true.....

I did the survey on 12/17. The only reason I did it was because a friend of mine had did something similar and actually went on a free cruise to the Bahamas. But my luck I get the fake one. Did the survey checked the website the same night and got a tour of a cruise ship. The website does not exist today though. Ha Ha Ha the jokes on me.

They said I would be getting a call with more details within 48 hours. I actually talked to a live person and they took my name and postal code and talked very fast. First Horn, then "your captain speaking", then a 10 question survey (nothing too personal, then they transfer you to an operator and give you a website surveyclaim.com , but it doesnt exist either. The operator talks fast and says that someone will call u from 48 to 72 hours, but its a lie... if u call back their voicemail box is full and they dont answer either. My guess is there are 2 reasons why they call, first is to fill a consumer's list (probably to give out to 3rd party) and the second is advertisement... at the end there is a "word from our sponsor" which happens to be dish network offering you free setup and HBO and stuff... i recieved a call from this is your captain speaking you"ve just won a trip for 2 to the bahama's just answer a few question's from our survey, after that another option came over the phone for a home scuerity plan and give them my home and cellphone number,then asked me to go on surveyclaim.com when i get to the web site to type in my home phone number and zip code, and it will show me if i had won a trip and i will recieve a phone call from 48 to 72 hours from a travel agent with how i want my name on the boarding passes..

I got the name and address for this number.

I was sooo disappointed, thought my sister had arranged a prank call so waited for the punch line. Didn't get one so thought I'd log on, what a load of ****. Not only did I miss out on a good laugh but wasted my time on losers who must think we are stupid if we're going 2 fall 4 FREE prize. Worse, what if someone does believe they have won, a vulnerable person, or elderly people who may fall for the scam. so i did the survey and then i was told to go to some fuicticious web site that has apparently NEVER existed to begin with. i dont understand how these comanies can have an automated system call your cell phone and get away with this. it is totally uncalled for and something needs to be done!

the problem i think most people have is that regardless of the $500 you can get back from the FTC Telecommunications Act of 1996 you still have to pay a lawyer to draw up paperwork in order to file some kind of claim against them. It just seems like a means to an end to me. I know I dont have time during my busy day to get that kinda shit together. and to have a digi recorder just laying around isnt an option either. The government cant expects people to just have one laying around the house or office in order to catch people tryin to scam them over the phone. the whole process is ludicris!

Same as L Petty below. I thought it must be a scam when they promised me a cruise for 2 to the Bahamas. I answered their questions and now, having read all these other messages on their fake website, I'm a bit worried. What are they after? What benefit are they getting from it? (When I did 1471 the number that called was 0010000000000) I like Jim's idea (below) of stringing them along with rubbish information and play them at their own game.

actually I am quite impressed... hahaha This person went allout for this one. A survey gets answered for free. sounded pretty good, but the normal number threw me off a bit. I got a regular sounding, middle of anywhere USA guy as my represntative to take my name. job well done on their part. I feel like an idiot though =)

I contacted the better business bereau, i suggest you also do the same. You can make a claim on thier website.

I just recieved a call from these people and when I visited the web site serveyclaim.com it does not exist. I did talk to a person when the system transfered me to an operator but the person was quik in transfering me back to the automated system after taking my information.

I received the call today and looked up the domain on whois.

The domain was registered through GoDaddy.com but no other info.

Took survery - nothing too personal - was transferred to an operator who took my phone number and name, transferred me to another recording that told me to go to surveyclaim.com and follow the prompts - the web site does not exsist. Was told a travel specialist will call me back with my bording certs for a one week all exclusive cruise to Nassau. Yeah - right.....! LOL

Call was for 2 free tickets to Nassau, Bahamas. Website given as surveyclaim.com. The website does not exist. Call the number back and the mailbox is full. Pretty nifty scammers. Guess we should all know better than to think that we could get free cruise tickets.

The usual lies. "Two cruise tickets to the Bahamas" in exchange of demographic and public utilities information plus your postal code. "Visit surveyclaim.com and use your phone number to claim your prize". Then the operator asks your name and announces a future call that will never happen (the website is always down). This is a dishonest marketing company trying to populate a consumer database by deceiving you.

Free two day Bahama cruise for a personal quiz.I knew it was a scam, I get them every day from different cos.so I gave them all ficticious info.I also said I was an FBI agent.I pay with gov. vouchers, no credit cards, gave them an alias name. I own a cruise line of my own, on the side. he said this is the capt. speaking, I said and this is the major speaking,you are now an ensign, for dishonorable conduct. The ph. on the other end went dead.

Received a call from this number at 5:40pm et. Left no message.

It is a violation of the FTC Telecommunications Act of 1996 for anyone to call a cell phone using an automated dialer. This inlcudes outbound IVR, Predictive Dialers, and Auto Dialers (Outbound IVR was used in this case by Answer Solutions/Householdsurvey.com on behalf of their client Regal Empress/Imperial Majesty Cruise Line). Any company that violates this act owes $500 PER NUMBER CALLED. That's right, this company now owes you $500 minumum if they called your cell phone(and a big fine of $500 per cell number that they have ever called). In order to collect you need a recording of the call (use a handheld digital recorder and save the file) the date/time of the call, and the number they reached you at (your cell phone in this case). In order to collect you will need to have legal papers drawn up. An enterprising attorney could file a class action suit and wipe out both Answer Solutions and the Regal Empress (plus make great money for themselves in the process)

Note that the Act I mentioned does allow them to hand dial cell phone numbers but that is not the case here. If they called you on your land line you are out of luck.

I have received 2 calls from this #. 1 yesterday and 1 today. They do not leave a message and when I called it back- the message said the mail box is full. I also did a reverse search. The search said that this is a cellular number from Pittsburgh.
