How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

car warranty about to expire
This is a telemarketing call to extend a warranty on your vehicle but when you try to call back it is a non working number. VERY SUSPICIOUS! I don't know that I would buy anything from a company that is decietful with their caller ID.

Getting calls from 706-273-3804 and 412-207-6629 on my cell phone. Apparently and oddly enough, both appear related to warranty scams...hmm.
this number is S.W.Pennsylvania - do not know anyone at all there. I have an unlisted number.This is likely the same as other calls, selling extended warranty on my '96 Honda
I have rec'd numerous calls from this number on my vehicle warranty about to expire, i hang up....it's a recording and i'm not playing with people.

I'm a college student and I don't even have a car. I looked up who the number belongs to and it is a company out of Pittsburgh.
Just got this one and silly me tried to call back. (I have family in P.A.) anyway got the busy signal and the disconnected message.

After endless months of calls like this from similar dirtbags...and numerous reportings by several folks who post on this site...I'm left wondering why our government won't effectively manage the don't call list and put these folks and those like them out of business. They just keep passing laws they have no intention of enforcing.
Auto warranty scammer. I filed a compliant with the FTC. Calling cellphone numbers is illegal.

Apparently others have been called with this number showing, but I'm the only one reporting the call. There are 3 other comments besides this comment I'm adding after reporting the call, though, so at least 3 others have been bothered by this nuisance. Whoever it was did not leave a message so I'm concluding that it was not a friend or aquaintance. Caller ID and answer machines/voice mail are great inventions.
The phone number was obtained through Caller ID spoofing and is definitely a telemarketer.
