This number has been calling for the past year. AT times the call more then once at day. I do not know how to get rid of them as they call at any time of day or night. Once I got in touch with their corporate office and explain that this number does not belong to the person they apparently looking for. I can't get them to stop. I don't know what to do but it's a total harassment.

Received this call - recording asked if I was an "L. Eugene [Somebody]".. couldn't understand the last name. It said.. "By continuing to listen, you are confirming you are "L. Eugene....etc.." I hung up. This is the first time I have received a call from this company.. it was obviously a wrong number, as there was never an "L. Eugene.." anybody ever living at this residence, and we have had this number for over 9 years.

AACC was so rude. Someone is giving out my number and apparently they keep calling on the same bill. All they ask for before anything else is for the last four of my ssn.... What a stupid way to approach a stranger.... and there is no way I am going to offer this information first before talking to these fools.... They are a collection agency trying to collect on some very old bills, and thusif you have a "new" number be prepared for these rude people.

Machine said this call is for Anthony K Cole which I thought it was a solicitation or advertising spam.

I answered after third call to my cellphone and indicated, through touchtone, that my number does not belong to person asked for.

I have received 4 calls since. No message left.

Message received today from this number self-identified as being from (something cut off) Asset Acceptance. Asked for a callback from someone I've never heard of regarding a "personal business matter."

I actually got a message saying they were Asset Acceptance.

Call was for my brother who has not lived here for over a year. They said they would remove my number. Probably a collection agency.

I live in San Francisco and just got this call at 11:26 a.m. PST on Jan. 25, 2007. I never answer calls unless I recognize the number, so all I know is that I received a call.

I didn't pick up.

This number called & asked if my name was correct. It offered to put it on hold to find out who was calling & said the person was not available. I hung up.

I received a call from a company that showed as AACC on home phone today. I was asked to verify my name by pressing the number one, and then asked to confirm it. The call was then disconnected on their end.

Who are these people? After calling back I found out. They are a collection agency... I have no idea why they called. I don't like it though....

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
