How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

I did not pick up the phone because I get too many of those calls even though I am on the do not call list. But then I was surprised to have a voice mail (recorded message). It was the first time a vendor left a message. Usually if you don't answer there's nothing, just a missed call.
So tired of getting these calls.
Keep getting calls from this company at work. When you push "1", they say Warranty Information Center and if you ask them to repeat the company name, to speak to a supervisor or to be placed on the Do Not Call list they hang up. EXTREMELY annoying! I would think the phone company could shut them down, revoke their number or some such (though they'd probably just get another...)
Car extended warranty spam. When I pushed 1 to talk to a representative, it rang through to a guy that sounded similar to the voice on the recording.
Was a missed call on my cell. They did not leave a voice mail...
No one on the other end... hung up
I got the same spiel as everyone else, i.e. I had won a draw at Kmart for a trip. Well, considering that there are no Kmarts in B.C., obviously this is a load of BS.
Unsolicited call to unlisted number offering a $2600 coupon or allowance to a holiday in Costa Rica, and Disney World in Florida. I allowed message to go to answering machine where the pitch has been recorded. They claim that "I" was entered in a draw and I won. They have no idea who I am, nor did I ever enter my name in any such draw. Looks bogus to me.
ha ha... well these guys are not just auto warranty quacks but they also drew my name from a holiday Walmart giveaway that "somebody" entered me in (why would I not be the one who entered myself?). Enjoy beautiful Costa Rica for free (but you pay for bus fare I guess). This also showed on caller ID as "National One."
I am really getting tired of them calling and hanging up. i mean really i cant run a place of work with this calls
Will it ever stop!?
They start as an automated message saying that a family member or friend put your name into a draw at Macy's, Kmart, and so on. You have won 2600.00 towards a Cancun vacation please press 9. Than they say if you are over 22 with your own credit card press 1. I did and when confronted they said that someone put my name in and she hadn't personally called. We are in Canada and don't have these stores. Would not remove my number and they keep changing their numbers because I have blocked other numbers from them.
Said he was following up on a letter sent out. Not a loan, but non profit, will help to reduce interest rates on credit cards etc. Wanted a return call for info regarding balances and the number left did not match number from caller id
You can have your phone number blocked against this annoying company by calling their phone company at 310-358-7000.
The offending company is National One, Salinas, CA 93905.
Have been getting these automated sales calls stating that my auto warranty is about to run out, and offering to sell a new warranty. (My car is a 1998 model, and been out of warranty for almost a decade.) Have asked to be removed from call list repeatedly! The calls continue ... from various different numbers. Today, the sales person was named Brad Curtis. (sp?) Who again, promised to remove my number from the call list. He hung up when I advised him that if I ever heard from his company again, the State Attorneys office (Ohio) would be hearing from me.
