How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

got the call just now from "call center, fl." it says to press one to talk to someone about my warranty and that this is the last attempt.....or press two for some other option. i pressed 1 and waited for this guy to pick up. he asked me what my MAKE and MODEL are. i was like which vehicle i have three vehicles.....what warranty? he asked me a second time make and model please? i asked which vehicle...the honda, gmc, or mercedes. he hung up! IDIOTS!
Call from "warranty Division Center" the caller would not give phone # or address. Said his name was Trey Johnson & that it was very important.
I informed him that I was on Do Not Call list and that didn't stop him. He continued saying they handled warranties for all cars older than 3 yrs or over 36,000 miles & that they handled the extension of manufacturer's warranty.
He hung up when I pressed for telephone #.
said my warranty is about to expire on my vehicle and that I could re-new it over the phone by credit, debit or automatic bank account deduction. I told the since I was I the war I lost control of my lower back and legs and do not drive. He laughed and said thats a new one
called today,Aug 15, 2008. Told me my warranty was about to expire and that I could renew it for mere pennys on the dollar. Funny thing, I have a brand new 2008 mini van with a full factory 6 year bumper to bumper warranty and a 1978 pick up. I told them this and said I could get a additional back up warranty...WTF!!!
I answered and got a recording saying my car warrenty was about to expire. Funny thing is I haven't owned a car since the spring of 1997.
I think we have a push 9 scam here. Have they forwarded the number showing up on id to another phone number so that this way the phone is disconnected or no longer in use so soon after they make a call from that number. something should be done. i get alot of hang up calls so i had caller id added. i also am on the dnc list. funny i thought getting on the list would stop these calls.
When I called number back that had JUST called, I recieved message "The number you called is no longer a working number." Well... it WAS working just 5 seconds ago! Caller ID just states, "CallCenter, FL"
Another company trying to bleed the last drop of blood that is left in me. Company is called Safe Ride. Who can afford a Safe Ride, when the Gas is so expensive?
I got this call too but I let it go to voice mail.
Since I don't own a car, this vehicle warranty this has to be a scam.
Asked them for their company name, was told "Warranty Division Center"--then he hung up.
Have received a few calls from them. "The warranty on your vehicle is about to expire. To extend the warrantee press1" so to get more info, I pressed one. Then I asked them what company they were with. They said "Safe Ride". I told them I was on the national do not call registry and that I was reporting the call and hung up on them. Since I don't have caller ID, in my area I pressed *69 and received the phone number of who called me and reported it to the do not call registry.
Vehilce warranty call, We are on the no call list & we are getting fed up with calles like this.
Recorded message to extend vehicle warranty. Press 1 to speak to a representative or push 9 if you have already have exteded the coverage or wish not to be called again.
I'm on DNC for crying out loud.
Not Matt's Meticulous Lawn Care anymore....That number show's up on the caller id, but the number has been disconnected - so I'm not sure who it is....

bellsouth telecomm owns this land line, can't get any info. Here's what I think:
screw these guy's I'm suing the carrier (the phone co.) maybe if everyone who gets these calls, finds the carrier and complains, they must give you a reply. if not make sure you write the company, about your complaint. and file a report with FCC. about what you did, maybe just maybe, we all can light a fire under the carrier ass's and make them responsible.
