RE: HEATHER AND RACHEL ARE CALLS FROM UK WITH A CID 44----- SHOWING MOSTLY. UK HAS A DO NOT CALL LAW ALSO AND IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET TO THE RIGHT PERSON OVER THERE TO GET ON THEIR LIST, BUT FOR ME I FINALLY WORKED.

Jay: Who is "them" who employed you, one of the three scammer firms the FTC cold-cocked this Spring? Or was it one of the soundalikes who months later are still plaguing citizens with random calls from "Heather" and "Rachel" claiming to represent variants of "Account Services" and "Card Services"? Absolutely nothing reported on these sham outfits suggests they ever engaged in legitimate credit counseling, itself a dodgy industry.

2009-11-03 21:22:52 UTCJay

I see all these comments and to be quite honest since I did work for them, is that yes maybe the call and some of the people that worked there could have been differently... But the fact of the matter is that we actually proved results on helping 1000's of people get lower rates.. Im sure for you they actually have a credit card on here, that your sit and tired of these banks and your high rates... So why not have someone go to bat for you??? So those of you with the fraud comments have no clue... I admit not everyone wants the call and needs to have a better way to get those who dont want help off the list... Well enjoy the rest of your day!!1

I finally got thru the Verizon process and have a piece of info to share......the *57 call trace goes NOWHERE until the party being called illegally actually: 1) files a POLICE report; 2) provides Verizon with three items: a) Case #, b) Officer's name, and c) Fax # to the police department.

Our government officials should REQUIRE Verizon to put this followup information into the phone books.....here I have been expecting that if enough of us did the "call trace" on the SAME number that SOME action would be automatically started by Verizon. It is implied that if the call is threatening that one would want to contact the police but with telemarketing calls I thought the implied action would be by Verizon when ENOUGH of us would qualify as a COMPLAINT to VERIZON and that some action would be taken. Boy was I wrong.

2009-08-14 16:18:32 UTCN

We are on ALL the do not call lists for Fed and Commonwealth of PA. This number called to BOTH phone numbers in my home within 2 minutes......Aug 14, 2009 at 11:56 am then second on other number at Aug 14, 2009 11:58 according to the *69 feature. When I do the reverse number look-up Verizon tells me it is NOT a valid number. It was a "last chance to lower your interest rate" call.

IT IS ABOUT TIME that someone caught these folks. I keep doing *57 to report as annoyance call. WHO WILL EVER TAKE SOME ACTION??

2009-08-11 20:39:52 UTCMAD

Getting these from "Rachel at Cardholder Services" almost every day. On the state and federal no call lists. Tried pressing "9" to talk to someone, as they instruct, and every time, on hold for a while, then disconnected. In case these people post phony messages here about how helpful their "service" is, you would be wise to stop messing with people you don't know. You know how you found and abuse my number? Guess what? I've found where you are.

On Aug. 2, 2009 at 2:45pm CDT we got a call from 407-000-9876. Why do we keep getting these calls when we are on the DO NOT CALL LIST?
Another government run program that it totally worthless!

Pressed 9 to speak to someone, asked what company she was with and she said credit card services for Visa & Mastercard. I told her I wished to be removed from the calling list and mailing list and before I could say I thought the tactics were misleading and deceptive, she hung up. No way to call back that number.

2009-08-01 18:33:22 UTCcalled again

Can't say how many calls I've received. Now, I just pick up the phone, hang up, and come here to report it. Someday, someone is going to be motivated enough to do something to stop what these people are doing. Maybe a class-action lawsuit for harassment?

2009-07-16 22:56:46 UTCCraig

These SOBs have been calling my fax and home phone two to three times a day. They claim to be "Cardholder Services". When asked to be taken off of their call list they became abusive and hung up. I tracked down the information on these people. They were shut down and have reopened as of 4/1/09. They are a scam using robo calls to gather credit card information. They go by the name of DHC Financial Services LLC with a website dhcfinancial.com. They are located at 5300 Recker Highway, Winter Haven, FL 33880. Their contact phone number is 877-332-8652. Do not give them any information. This is a criminal operation. The mastermind behind the operation may be a one Miguel Correa. Miguel is located at 1275 Bennett Road, STE.102, Longwood, FL 32750. The Managers of the operation are possibly Michael S. Finn and Jim Stone. There personal phone numbers and home address' can be found on the internet.

This afternoon I received a call from 407-000-9876. It was a recording that told me they wanted to talk to me about my credit card but that there was nothing wrong with my account, and that I had the option of pressing 9 to speak with an individual. After pressing 9, I spoke with a very nice young man who told me that he could help me lower my interest rates. He said he was with Card Services. I asked which bank he worked for and he told me that he worked for "Mastercard and Visa". I found this to be interesting, because those are two separate companies. He said that after 6 months of paying my bills on time and not going over my limits that I was entitled by law to lower rates. He told me that in order to qualify I had to be over $5,000 in debt on credit cards. He asked if I was. When I answered in the affirmative, he took it a step further and asked me which card balance was the greater. I answered, "The older one." This gave him pause, at which point I asked if he could just send me something. He said that they had sent me something and that perhaps I had mistaken it for junk mail. I then told him that I was not going to give him any of my credit information over the phone without first investigating his company. He gave me the following information:

Shawn Dupree
employee ID 1129
866-942-6441 (toll free)
407-485-2667 (direct line)
sapphirefinancials.com

I ended the conversation and looked up the website. It became VERY obvious that this company is not related to any credit card company or bank because the site is actually very unprofessional. They used canned software to create it and it is hosted by a company that hosts sites for small and home-based businesses. My continued search brought me here.

The long and the short of it is this: F R A U D

Do not give this company any of your credit or personal information. They will most definitely use it to take from you that which does not belong to them, causing you nothing but grief and loss of $$.

2009-06-12 02:03:44 UTCSick of Idiots

I wish these bastards would stop calling - I signed up for the Do Not Call list. I wish they'd burn in hell.

407-000-9876. THIS IS A FORGED CALLER ID. THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF
THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW. THE PRERECORDED VOICE TO A HOME BECAME
ILLEGAL IN DEC 2008. CALL YOUR FEDERAL HOUSE AND SENATE MEMBER AND
ASK THEM TO WORK ON A LAW TO MAKE IT A FELONY TO PROVIDE OR USE OR
MAKE A CALL FROM A PHONE USING A FORGED CALLER ID. PROBABLY THESE
OUTFITS ARE USING T1 TELEPHONE LINES WHICH PERMIT THEM TO FORGE
NUMBERS. LOG THE NUMBER AND THE EXACT TIME AND HAVE YOU PHONE COMPANY
SEARCH THE END OF MONTH BILLING WHICH IS USED TO SETTLE WHAT TELEPHONE
COMPANY OWE WHO HOW MUCH. THAT BILLING LISTS THE ANI (AUTOMATIC NUMBER

Here is their #: 1-866-942-6441. They are called Saphire financial. We all need to call them every day, numerous times and see how they like having their time wasted. Just dial *67 to block your #.

2009-05-28 17:56:36 UTCMACE-SI

CAUTION: The recording tells you to press '9' to speak with a live representative. Do not give them access to your phone line this way.

2009-05-27 20:57:09 UTCwisconsin

They identify themselves as card member services and they want to lower your interest rate on your credit cards. I have tried 3 times to get my number off their list as we do not have any credit cards. Today the rep was downright dirty. He asked for my number and name, I told him mine and my husbands, he said oh how cute high school sweethearts, I said um no, he said so what time should I pick you up xx? I said um I dont think so, he said why hubby could handle the camera and take pictures and that I would like that. I asked for a supervisor and he hung up on me.

Card Services is what they tell you name of the company is. They help you lower your interest rate on your cards. Yeah, Right! I ask for the name of their employer and the address. The girl started all over reading from her script. I asked again the address of the building she was calling from. Again she started over from the beginning of her script she was reading from. I told her I was on the Do Not Call list and she said she was only trying to help. Yeah Right!

This is a scam. I thought the government was going to do something about this kind of thing? Hello, quit giving money to Chrysler and throw some people in jail!

2009-05-18 20:31:47 UTCcitizen b

This is what I get from a reverse look up. "No Yellow Pages listings found". Makes it believable that these people are criminals.

2009-05-17 14:55:19 UTCgrow up tim

dickie doober - you must be the jerk that called himself tim on another phone number that called you. YOU ARE SO SICK!

JUST IGNORE THE CALLS AND THEY'LL GO AWAY AFTER A TIME. TELLING SOMEONE TO "F" HIS MOTHER AND SUCH IS MORBID AND YOU WILL BURN IN H**L FOR BEING LIKE YOU ARE.

2009-05-16 13:08:50 UTCBill - again

I have been getting these "lower your credit card rate" calls and messages on the answering machine for months now. I checked fuve unknown caller ID phone numbers stored on my phone and every one of them and every one of them is identified on this site as connected to either auto-warranty or credit card phishing scams. Until this site was mentioned in yesterday's Wall Street Journal (5/15/09), I didn't realize what a plague this is. Shame on the authorities in the states where these boiler-room scams thrive. Florida, it seems, must lead the pack.

2009-05-16 13:00:37 UTCBill

I stayed on the line and got a female voice. She started to talk about lowering my credit card rate. I asked her what bank she represented. She said that we represent Visa and Mastercard. I told her to take down my phone number. She ignored me and continued with her script. I told her again and said that she was required to take down my phone number and remove it from their call list. She rudely said, "I am not going to take down your phone number" and hung up.

This is the third or fourth such call and the second hangup.

2009-05-16 01:23:53 UTCRossi

Call came from Florida to Kansas @ 14:57 on 5-15-09. Call not qnswered and no message left.

Other sites report this number as "Card Services", a scam to get your credit card number.

Default position is Delete!

2009-05-15 21:37:43 UTCTJ

Another "lower your credit card debt" scam. I hope the FTC gets these guys too!

2009-05-15 18:58:10 UTCJay

Message said ... there is no problem with your account. But you can lower your interest rate to 6.9%

2009-05-15 15:42:16 UTCAM

I let it go to answering machine, but my husband answered it the other day. They said it was "urgent regarding credit card account". My husband asked what card, exactly, they were called about and they hung up!

2009-05-14 19:12:26 UTCLinda

Message: Last notice to lower credit card debt. Press #9 to speak to someoone. When I had a persoon and told them I have asked repeatedly to be removed and that I am on the No Call list, they hung up.

This is one way groups that operate out of swat valley and other such areas fund their war, by credit card fraud. they also use document fraud and identity theft. In other words, these people could be raising money for osama.
NEVER give anyone information over the phone. If they claim they are calling from your financial institution, get their name and call back to the institution (not a number provided by the caller) to verify. Same goes for the Government, in fact the Government most likely won't call but issue a letter

The recorded voice says they are urgently calling regarding your credit card and asks you to hit "9" to speak to someone. I was connected with someone and requested to be taken off of their contact list. The young man told me "that will never happen so I should just not hit "9" when they call." I got 2 more calls from this number this morning which I ignored.

This is an identity theft ring. It's obviously a criminal enterprise when you have a fake phone number. That's your first clue.

2009-04-30 20:51:33 UTCFemmie Flamer

I got this numberon the caller ID today gurrrlllzzzz. I knew it was not Rip Taylor... so I looked again. Gurlll... I was pissed. It was some phoney number from the Orlando FL area. The caller ID said "FLORIDA CALL." Honey, I knew it had to be some "Save the Seman Swallowers campaign agin." You know, the the group that is advocating that we all accept gay male seman swallowers, by donating to some sham liberal political co uncil. HOney, I'd give big, no pun intended, if you show me yo' stuff! You think we'z answering phones when we can't see yo' stuff? Cummon! Be real. As for this FTC thing, who punishes companies... That Bareback Omama dude needs to handle that agency. 100 days in, and we still can't see a dude's stuff on the other side of the phone. whaasss going on??? If you could not tell, I am on the "do not call list." they do not enforce it. I got tired of government not doing it's job. Change Change Change made things still the same. Yo' peeps is suckers if u thought yu were getting change, like the donot call list being enforced, by the FTC. Funny how we can be ruel to inmates from overseas, but cannot enforce the "Do not call" list.

2009-04-26 19:21:54 UTCR S

called me and said, they were from credit card, nothing wrong with my cards, and she gave me girls name, at that time I hung up the phone. I get these calls all the time, and how can they get a number that is not real??? I am on the do not call list, but these people get me anyway. How can they get a telephone number that is not for real....?

2009-04-25 19:59:42 UTCwalt

It would be nice if the telephone companies would not allow telephone systems to give out false number. With todays technology one would think that the real number could be tracked. The 407-000-9876 is not real as QWEST told me and I'm sure who ever is calling is trying to get personal info on individuals they should not get.

2009-04-25 02:00:44 UTCCraig

Didn't pick up on this call. To bad I was in the mood to run up their phone bill. The caller ID said Florida Call. Funny thing is that I just got back from Florida the day before. Guess this is another credit card scam by the looks of the comments. I have been getting a lot showing New Brunswick Canada lately. Must have worn out that ficticious number so they are trying one in Florida. There has got to be a way to trace these calls back to their origin and shut these outfits down.

2009-04-24 20:51:06 UTCToni

I got a call from this number and then about 30 minutes later I was talking to my friend and her call waiting beeped and she got a call from the same number. She can't report it because her computer is fried. Her ZIP is 26651

2009-04-24 16:02:59 UTCMS

Definitely file a complaint at donotcall.gov

2009-04-24 04:08:47 UTCAgent

Here is how it works. They call you answer. A sucker is born. You give them your name, CC number and 3 digit card security on back. Since they have over 400+ telephone numbers to draw on, they care less now what you do. They can sell your card to anyone, and charges will come up on your card. At the current rate your card company dictated to you. We all know that CC companies are pure greedy bastards now, and no one lowers the rates, no one can outdo the CC companies. The thief got away from you because you have no idea what number to call to protest anything. As to name, Credit Card services, comes AAST Lodge 297, and about 30 other company manufactured names they come up with, none of which exists. You are just a sucker in the line to them. The mistake is made when you talk to them.

lower my credit card rate. pressed 9, they asked if i wanted to lower my rate on master card or visa to 6 per cent, i said yes, asked what my balance was. since i don't owe 3,000 or more they can't help. what a waste of time. will not answer any more calls from this number. when i tried to find out who this was, my info came up that i had received 28 calls from this same number

LOWER CREIT CARD call .. I pressed 9 . got ERIC (so he said) . I asked 'what is this about?' .. he said what can I help you with? .. do you want to lower your credit card? . .I said I did not think so .. he told me to have a nice day and hung up .. BEFORE I could use the TWO WORDS that would make a sailor blush .. I tried to dial it back .. got 'no such whatever' .. I hit reject on my phone blocker ..

These SCAMMERS have found a way to use numbers that are NOT their number .. always robotic . so you can hang up .. from now on . going to NOT answer unless I recognize the number .. This said florida and do have friends in florida . but I pretty much know their numbers .. AND I never have my answering machine ON .. that way . never have to phone anyone back . but do see the caller ID . soooo :)

Got the usual recording promising me that they could reduce my credit card rate. I pressed 9 when prompted and spoke with a woman who, in response to my question about who would reduce my rate, said that they worked with all 551 lenders and could help me with any of them. She insisted her company name was "Account Services" several times. Hung up on me after too many questions.

I received an automated message stating that the credit card co. (unknown) could lower my rates to 6% if I was interested press 9, so I did. They didn't specify which credit card nor did they mention the card holders name. Someone answered the call and as soon as I asked which card and who was the card holder she hung up on me. When I redialed the number all I get is a busy signal.

Said she was Rachael from Card Services. NO way to opt out. Wanted to help me lower my credit card rate. I don't have a credit card.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
