Stop these jackasses, someone! They are downright annoying and abusive of consumers! THEY HAVE NO RIGHT!!!

It was exactly the same scenario as the others have said - "credit services" wanting to help reduce interest rates on credit cards. Hopefuly no one falls for this! Obviously "do not call" lists do not work! Why are these jerks allowed to keep calling?!

Offer to lower my interest rate. "Press 1 to speak with agent; press 2 to discontinue these calls". I pressed 2 and still got a live agent. Told her I pressed 2 to have these calls discontinued. Disconnected before I got a chance to ask who this was.

Hung up during my answering machine pickup. We've had 3 or 4 calls over the last 2 weeks from this "company". We never pick up w/this type of caller-ID. We let 'em roll on to the machine. Never a single word...just a hangup.

Recieved an automated call that transferred me to an "customer service" rep that offered to lower my interest rate for my Visa/Master Cards for Citi bank, Chase Bank and other banks. I asked what was the name of the company and she stated it was the head office for Visa/Master Card. I asked where they were located and she said Orlando, FL. When I asked other questions she hung up the phone. I have since reported to the FCC and since the area code is Montana I called consumer protection there and was told they are investigating it, that it is a scam. The number was issued from a California company.

At 9:15 am this number called in on my phone, I picked up and it was a recorded message stating it was my Visa Master Card offering me a lower interest rate on my credit card. Press #1, a lady answered, Indian, I guess, I could not understand her name. She said she was located "main off of Visa Master Card" I asked the lady to give me her phone number so I could call back. She hung up.

Same as Carol below - recorded message from "Heather in Account Services". Then I got on with a person who said they're the "main office" of "Visa Credit Card Services". I asked them which credit card they were talking about, he could only give me the first 4 numbers... obvious scam... the first 4 numbers are by bank and aren't individual. I asked for call back #, he said there was none... he was clearly in a call center in India. It was a lousy muffled connection and his English was terrible.

Recorded message from "Heather in Account Services" offering to lower my cc interest to under 6.9%. They won't stop calling, I keep reporting them...

'Another' annoying call!

got the call about 11:30 a.m. but did not answer and no messages left.

I called back, got a message stating that if you want to be placed on their do not call list for marketing, to press 1. They said it will take up to 72 hours to take effect. With today's advanced technology, why should it take that long, not instantly?

asked for my credit card account number...offer of lower interest rate than the 6.9 i already have.

I don't know who it is, but it appears to be a cell phone. Left a message with heavy breathing.

This person is a pest. Before this, he was using 800 Numbers, when he feels he is closed to getting caught, he would start to use the numbers on your telephone bill. He is cleaver, on line he can see the call you make to your mother, your father, your children and friends. While you are sleeeping he sends numbers to you cell and land line . Police cannot find him because they refuse to follow his daily trail

This caller is going around picking up any number, camouflage as a telemarketer, to harass anyone he does not like. This is called sproof , I believe. He uses Banks, businesses, residential, cell phone lines etc. This is a real person doing this, not telemarketer. After it being done to me so many times I know the pattern. He does it all week, mostly on the weekend to harass his neighbors and friends

They asked two questions, is your interent rate over 9% and is your total balance of credit card debt over $3000. Then they said thank you. We'll have to call you back.

Requested company name, Agents Name and to have a Supervisor on the line - they hung up!

I didn't answer it because I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. They left no message.

They sounded professional (could even hear phones/taking in the background), but they're a scam. I called my credit card companies and they explained that only they can lower rates, not some third party. Hang up on these scammers and give them no information!!

I received a call from this number today. I pressed 1 to be connected to an operator. After asking how they got my number and why they were going to "reduce my credit card rate" instead of my own credit card company doing it, they hung up on me. I will be reporting the call today.

If anyone recieves calls originating from 406-852-8001 you need to report it to your local "Attorney Generals" office. When filling out the online form state that this is a harrassing call and they will stop. If they continue then the attorney generals office will supply information for civil action against the company.

Call to my landline from "unknown name" on 8/5/2010. I work at home and unless the number is someone I know I need to talk to, I don't answer during work hours so I didn't have to actually listen to the caller. Bless whoever came up with caller ID!

did not recognize the number and the id was credit services. Did not pick up, no message was left.

I didn't pick it up, as I don't know anyone in the 406 area code. Dialing for dollars, where I could actually win money, has been off the air for 40 years, so why bother?

Same BS scam they were pulling from Florida. Finally the legal system caught them, but this may be the same con-artists using a different locale. DO NOT GIVE THESE SCAMMERS ANY INFO!

The mechanical voice said, "Hello. My name is Heather... There is no problem with your credit card. I just..." I HUNG UP. This is obviously a scam of some sort. Does anybody know who this is and how we can stop these stupid calls?

Picked up the phone. Silence. I don't know who they think they are fooling as we have no credit cards, etc. Way too many of these types out there.

Only the number showed up on the caller ID. They did not leave a message.

Listened to the message, recording said to press 2 to discontinue these notices. Still got a live (foreign) operator, and when I asked to be removed, she hung up on me. Wish these parasites would stop.

These calls are not new, they have been going on for years under the same name Credit Services. I do not answer the phone when I see on caller ID who it is. If they leave a message, it is to make you think something is wrong with your credit card just so you will call them back.

I was contacted about lowering my interest rate on a BA card. The call was sophisticated with a pro voice on the recording and options to press numbers for different services. In the pre-record I was assured there was no problem with my acct. and this was a limited time offer.The person I spoke with had a good script and sounded pro. When he asked for my creditcard number and I asked him if he didnt already have it, he hung up. The number he called from is 406-852-8001

Pressure salesman - agency does misrepresent themselves and they will not hang up, just rant and rave.

This agency misrepresents themselves as working on behalf with Visa, Mastercard and Chase. They absolutely do not. They are a negotiation company for cost. Upon following up with a complaint I dealt with an incompetent and rude "by the numbers" receptionist.
