Who Called Us

I answered and waited for an agent they hung up when I tried to advise to take me off list

I don't answer if I don't know who is calling there have been a lot of calls to people in this area, and the calls seem to be originating overseas. When you answer a heavily accented voice tells you that your car loan has been approved.

You can get anyone of these types of callers to stop calling if you will take the time to report them to:

esupport.fcc.gov

It really works!!! Pass this on to everyone you know.

Recorded message--"...calling about your credit account; no problems with your account at this time ..." (How would they know that?) I hung up. My number is also on the national "do not call" list.

Credit Scam

Called me at 9:15 AM local time. No name on the ID, just the phone number. Left no message (typical). As mentioned above, it's probably some credit service scam.

"Credit Service" or some such. Credit card scam to "lower your interest rates to 6.9%" but only for a limited time....
I pressed 0 & operator with heavy foreign accent told me they are "with Visa & Mastercard". I asked where they were based - "Orlando, Fl."
Asked for a phone number to call them back.
Click. They hung up.

P.S. - Interestingly, my Caller ID said "Cell Phone". I first did reverse phone look up and it said cell phone from MT. I live in PA. I don't know anyone in MT. I googled the telephone number and found this info.

7/27/10 - Called and hung up when it kicked into voicemail. No message. Also on the Do Not Call List. I filled out a FCC complaint form which can be found at complaints.donotcall.gov

This caller hung up when I requested to be removed from their call list. i called them back and there is a "if you want to stop receiving calls from this number press 1" which I did. It is definitely a scam.

7/26/10 - Called and hung up when answering machine came on. On the no call registry as well.

Calls and hangs up. We are on the no call registry. However, calls continue to come in.

These folks have been bothering me for the last 5 years. They in the past have called me daily and I could not stop them and they are still calling. I once after listening to the add pressed 1 to get off the calling list only to be called several days later and then press 2 to get a person to ask them to take me off their calling list only to be told that had not such capability to do so and were the rudest people. I had asked for a supervisor and they said I had no complaint. They called today again 7/26/2010 and I filled out a FCC complaint form, Don't know if that will help. These are the worst I have encountered.

Received the call at 9:43 this morning. Phone indicated "montana". Anticipated the worst and sure enough the recorded message was that they could help lower my card rate to 6.9% (or something like that). I pressed "1" and a voice came on . . sounded like female oriental. She started her message and when she paused, I asked if she could beat zero. Her: Huh? Me: I do not pay any interest. Click.

They've called multiple times. I've told them that we're on the Do Not Call list and they say that that list doesn't apply to them. I couldn't get a real name out of them but as far as I know we've NEVER had any business dealings with them and we certainly never will. I reported this to the Do Not Call registry.

left automated message on vm, so only part of message was recorded. Something to the effect of "to lower your interest rates." I called the number back, and got a message to press one if you want to be put on their do not call list. I pressed one - we'll see if it makes a difference.

Called but hung up after I answered the phone. We are also on a no call list.
