Selling health insurance

this number has called twice a day for the past 2 weeks. i never answer and they never leave a message.

no response when I answered phone - this is the second time

I'm on the do not call registry...these people call constantly..never leave message...never speak when addressed.
If I find out exactly where they are in Oklahoma...I'm getting on a plane and paying them a visit!!!

Answered, they hung up. Called them back, automatically went to a message stating if I wanted to be removed from list to enter my 10 digit #, which I did. Hopefully they won't call back.

This is the first time I got a call from these ppl. I answered but no one talked, only silence. Tried to do a reverse phone lookup, all I could find is they're from Oklahoma City, OK.

I have had 9 hang up calls from this number.

when i called the number back was connected to an 804 number dial the actual number to get on their do not call list

They have called my number everyday this week. I never answered not one time because I do not answer unknown calls, I figure if it is important enough they will leave a message but they never do. After reading some comments on here, I decided to call them and I got a recording stating they were Healthmarkets Free Marketing Group and immediately said if you wanted to get on there "do not call list" to enter your phone number starting with your area code followed by a pound sign. I did that and I hope it works. I think the way they get your phone number is...well, have you ever been on the computer and clicked on a page that says you won a $1000.00 gift card to Walmart or someone like that. Anyways, after you click on it you have to fill out and accept so many offers (like Netflix DVD offers, to purchase a home or auto quotes, insurance quotes, and etc.) to be able to win the prize. You end up sitting at your computer for two hours filling these out and then at the end in order to get the prize,you have to get these 2 big offers which end up costing you money. And by that time you have taken all the free offers and have given them your name, address, and phone number, which now I know it was just a fluke by these sponsors trying to sell something and now there is always someone calling me. This person keeps calling, I keep saying that I have health insurance already but still calls the next day. This has become very irritating and I want the calls to stop. I have to keep my ringer off now and I should not have to do that.

The calls started at 8am and it is now 11:00 am and I just got the third call!!! I do not answer them....How can they be stopped?

Received calls from this number 3 times now, two last week and one yesterday and today. This happened to me about a year ago with another number and it turns out to be a similar situation. Last time I just refused to answer and evenutally the calls stopped.

This company has kept calling every morning at 8:30. I am gone through and placed my # on the do not call list. We will see.

I have received 2 called and no messages were left

I got 2 calls from this number , when I answered the phone it was some numbscull from capitol one trying to collect a bill . Unfortunately the guy would not believe I was not who he was looking for and that it was a cell phone.He uses a dialer that is much faster than he is and I hung up the first time since there was no one on the line. The second time I waited. barely speaks english, no wonder our country is going to heck in a hand basket.

I've had this call many times and finally Googled it one day-i see I'm not the only one!! Now I jsut clik ignore button.

Have rec'd this call numerous times in past 3 months. nobody ever speaks, I Googled it and found out that I'm not the only one, so now I just hit ignore button.

I think they're looking for fax numbers. When they find a fax machine they sell the number to companies that send junk spam.

It is a telemarker, I can't block this # with my phone, I entered it in my phone book and named it telemarket so I don't have to anwer it

I called this number back. It stated it was some type of marketing group and gives you and option to input your number to be removed from their directory calls.

Mega Life Insurance. They hung up as soon as i told them to put me on the do not call list.

I kept the woman on the phone for 5 minutes! She said she was from Megalife Insuarnce no cost quote on insurance... She said she was in Oklahoma City. Originally from NJ! Her dad is military. That was my fun for the day. I didnt think shed talk to me when I answered - figured another hang up...

In the past 3 days I have had 4 calls - one I answered...they are selling insurance...they start out implying I have requested them to call...when that was said, I hung up!

I noticed the call the day before on my home phone, but there was no message. I figured it must have been important since the call today came BEFORE 8:30 AM! I answered and the phone disconnected.
I notice that some folks mentioned insurance. My husband and I just purchased three insurance policies. I wonder if they got our information from some list generated by the underwriters or something? I'm going to follow up with our Rep. How unsettling.

I've gotten several calls from this number no message ever left. When I finally was able to answer, person on the other end said nothing.

This # is still calling me it has called every day @ 4:36 except sat & sun for the last week.

Mega Life Health Insurance. Said that I had requested info on health insurance online and they were kindly following up. I of course never requested their services and asked them not to call back.

I was expecting a phone call so I answered the phone when I said hello they hung up nothing else.

i callled them back too, the little answering message said they are a market research firm, ans asked if we wanted our number removed, who knows!

Many calls - mostly at dinnertime - asking for someone that we don't know. I report EVERY call to DNC.

405-603-7076 keeps calling my work number and hasn't left any messages. But it is super annoying as I recieve a missed call on my email notification. This number needs to be stopped!

They called twice, at 8:25AM and at 12:13PM.

I am not answering unknown calls. This is my first call. There was no message left and I am not calling back.

One more thing - I have never given anyone my phone number on the internet (or any place else) for health insurance information. Where do these people come from?

I just received a call from these people at 9:11 p.m. I finally answered the phone and a woman was on the other end "Sarah". I asked her if she knew what time it was and I was on the do not call list and to remove me from their list and promptly hung up. I am trying to log into the do not call registry, having problems because YES I am reporting them AGAIN!!!!

After getting 5 calls in one day, I finally answered. They are a health insurance company looking to get you rates.

They tried to sell health insurance to me. Said it was free to recieve the information but, No Thanks. I said bye-bye and hung up. They just now called back and when I picked up the phone they hung up!!! Daily disturb list or NO.

They keep calling non-stop. They never leave a msg just hang ups. I had 6 hangups from them in a couple of hours. I don't have time for this-its getting to be harassing.

I just called the number back, it lets you remove your number off there list.

Who..and what is this number about...is it an attempt to download a virus..I just read about those the other day....NOT cool...over 425 known virus's for cell phones (some people have far too much time on their hands to play games of this nature..

2 calls in the last 2 days (so far). Fortunately, I have a semi-sophisticated computer system that screens my calls. I have added this name and number to the hang-up list. My computer can beat up theirs. Sometimes ya just gotta love computers. (It's called CallStation and I do not work for them).

I answered and it was "Shelly" saying I went on the internet last week and requested a health insurance quote! I said no I did not and hung up on her.

They have called my home business phone many times - at all hours of the day and evening. A Google search of "Healthmarkets Ltd" gives a website that says this is a company that sells insurance to the self employed. There is also a link to an article in USA today in September, 2007 which states they are being investigated in 36 states for fraud related to their insurance coverage (or rather, lack of coverage) and deceptive practices. If they call you on your home phone, and you are on the FTC's Do Not Call List, report them. If they call you on a business phone, you have no recourse as they can call as much as they want. Saying they are replying to a request for quote that you didn't make is the kind of stuff the FTC wants to hear about so do report them.

in the past 60 days, i have received 22 calls from this number. when answering, the line goes dead.

I have received 3 calls in 2 days. I have not answered because I don't know anyone in this area code. I don't call back because no voice mail was left.

I spoke to someone from this number today, they were wanting to know if I had health insurance. This is NOT a published number. They are spammers selling health insurance.

I received a call @ 8:05 AM - which really ticks me off. When I answered a recording started and then it hung up.

I called the no. (405-603-7076) back and a recording came on the line. It said somthing like "Health and Marketing, Fleet Marketing Group". Then the recording said if I wanted to be put on their DO NOT CALL, list I should enter my complete phone no. including area code and then push pound. I did. Then the recording came back on and said I had been removed from their calling list. Only time will tell!

I answered the phone and they hung up!

I signed up for something online, and put my cell # down, since I hardly ever use it, and sure enough, the "privacy policy" they had is a lie and I am getting calls up the yingyang from everyone in the world.

To avoid derelicks like this calling go to donotcall.gov & enter your phone number on do not call list. It illegal to call your number if it's registered on this sight, you can file complaints if they do.

Obtained a supervisor who gave name as Sherry Grant and gave me company name as Health Markets, 6125 W Reno Ave Suite 700, Oklahoma City 73127, 1-800-315-0447 attn Steven Keaton. This mailing address reverses to UICI Marketing. HM was UICI until 4/06. I asked they not call again (after a dozen rings over previous week) and it stopped.

He did sign me up for the "give me a quote" thing. Best thing I can tell anyone is NEVER give your # out over the internet. These guys are snakes and will sell your info to the highest bidder. If you want quotes on insurance of any kind go straight to the source of someone local and do business via the. It's not worth all the annoying phone calls from people who won't leave messages.

they have called me a few times last week, and now once this week. last week i also received a phone call from a watsonville california number, from a woman named 'orvilla' who told me to call her back. yeah. right. sure. i always do what i'm told by people i don't know.

i have no accoounts in bad standing or any debts of any kind. i have however recently - and stupidly - requested health insurance quotes online.

this orvilla finally called back a fourth time and told me i would be helping her out so much if only i called her back, that she was sure she recognised my voice, that i seemed so familiar to her. (like you'd forget anyone named 'orvilla') she said she was with the nat'l assoc. for the self-employed through some health insurance group.

so that satisfies me : this came through my requesting online insurance quotes.

now, how do i get them to cease and desist?

I just got a call from these people and the lady asked for Alexandria Johnson. I said "you've got the wrong number" and she hung up.

They called me today didn't say a thing . From another site I read that when you answer the phone your # is put on a list , then later you may get a call asking for personal information . If you have never picked up for this # DONT and avoid being put on tthe list . don't know how much of this is true but it can't hurt to do nothing .

I have an internet voice mail number that I use whenever I fill out ANYTHING that wants my phone number. It emails me the message if anyone leaves one, and I dont have to bother with the phone ringing EVER. This number is one of 15 that calls my voicemail every day. They are not a collection agency because I only use that number when filling out free registrations on the internet. I had recently inquired about insurance quotes, so they actually might be an insurance broker. I would suggest you all get similar free internet voice mails and NEVER give your real phone number to ANYONE. It is amazing how many calls I get on that voice mailbox line, and I would be nutz if it were really ringing in my house.

You guys commenting on this are incorrect. Give the people who earn a living at health markets a break. If you went on the net and asked for a health insurance quote, they are calling because YOU asked them to. Now you act like they're out of line for calling you. I have recently signed up to answer some online surveys. It did ask about my health, so I'm guessing this is why I am receiving these calls. I called the number back. It gave me the option to remove my number, so I did.

If you ask for them to remove you from their call list and they call you again then you report them it is a huge find, in MO I know it is $10K, but the jerks won't talk when they call.

I got called today from this number. I researched it, and apparently they are tryin to collect social security numbers, and are a marketing arm of Mega Life Insurance (a scam in themselves).

Rich, you do NOT owe them money. Do not respond to any questions from them. It is purely a telemarketing call, and if you're on the "Do Not Call" list, they are breaking the law.

Got this call @ 2:45 p.m.PST... no message was left, its either a SCAM & or a collection agency. BUT, agencies usually WANT to talk to someone...MMMM? Sounds FISHY to me, don't callers KNOW MOST people do NOT even answer calls from un-KNOWN numbers?

This number belongs to-COX TELCOM INC- My number was given to them from NASE- national association for the self employed. I WAS INTERESTED IN SOME INSURANCE.I have called nase and complained about them giving out my number, this is deceitful, when getting a quote on some insurance.

Rec'd call from Health Market, my husband answered and they asked for me. He told them that I was not available, they said okay and did not hang up. We are concerned that this is a phone scam.

I got a call today from them and they always seem to call my house #. when i answered it 2day the woman mysteriously new my name, adress family and their names too. And i kno for a fact i am not in any way at all related to them. So I got tired of this number calling me and finally answered to see who they were. MEGA HEALTH and LIFE INSURANCE is what the gal told me. I told her to take me off of the calling list or I will report them. Hopefully I won't get anymore calls. I guess I should've said Jackass to them again!

These calls were made in august 2006 showing on my call record. ID shows Healthmarkets L way back then. They have made more calls since and am reporting them also

They called me the night before and I didn't answer. There was no message left. I googled this number and found this site read everyones comments. So today they called and I answered by saying "JACKASS". They then asked for me by my full name and I just kept repeating what I said when I answered then I hung up on them. Don't know who it is but who cares!

They have called several times but since the caller ID does not give a name (Only Okla.City, OK)I refuse to answer it. If they were performing bany type of service that is reputable, they would have their name displayed. I will never answer them.

I got a call from someone at this number claiming they're from Health Markets Marketing Group or something. It wasn't until after the call that I figured it was probably some sort of scam. I called the number back and put myself on the "Do Not Call" list. Who knows what good that will do since I already answered all their lame questions. I should have just hung up on their punk asses.

I just rec'd a call from this number. A woman who said she was following up on a request I made for insurance. I said I never made a request and to take me off the list. I know it's a scam, but if you don't say "take me off of your list" there isn't a whole lot that can be done. I did file a complaint through the do not call donotcall.gov

I recieved a phone call from the number listed 405-603-7076-I'm one of those people who will say I'm not me until I find out who it is and what it is about. This individual then asked to speak to my husband-I stated he was not in. They replyed they will call back later. I have no idea who they are let alone how they got my phone number and my name. I'm unhappy about this. Too many places have to much access to other peoples names and phone numbers. It really makes you wonder what else of yours they have access too...

I did the form the other day giving out a false name, but my cell phone number..the 405 number and a 800 780 2107. The 800 calls you to see if you answer, but hangs up right away. Then later someone from the call center will call you using the 405 603 7076 number..asking for the name I gave. I told them that the name did not belong to my number...then the guy started asking me questions.. about credit cards...

I Told them I have insurance through the Postal Service and they said they would take me off the list and hung up on me. Received call from this number today. I screen my calls so I never answered and no message was left. I don't bother trying to call back; if the reason for the call is important they should leave a message. Filed a Do-Not-Call complaint with FTC. **If your number is on the FTC Do-Not-Call list FILE A COMPLAINT.** Enough complaints will get action taken and monetary fines can be steep.

I have heard that sometimes companies do this mass calling. If someone answers or calls back, they know it is a "live" number and will sell it to others. I get the feeling they are somehow making money from people calling back.

Another thing is that this call and others from another number started right after I placed a resume at America's Job Bank. I would not put it past any scammer to register with AJB just to go through newly added resumes to get phone numbers.

I've received a call tonight at 9:11p and last night at 7:46p. Each time, no one would talk to me. When I called back, a recording said if I wanted to be removed from their list to enter my phone number. After holding the line for several minutes, a lady came on identifying herself as working for "Mega Life Ins Co." and I was calling back into her on an outgoing only line. She says something is screwed up in their phone system and they are trying to find the trouble.

They don't hang up. Their outgoing call system (like most telemarketers) is efficiently set up to dial two or more numbers at once, and the person at the number who picks up first gets the "privilege" of speaking to their agent. The call to the other numbers is automatically disconnected, hence, getting hung up on.

I didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message. However, a collection agency has been trying to contact someone I don't even know at my number for over a year - at least they leave a message!

I have been getting multiple calls from this number and because of my schedule, they have been very annoying. I worry that someone will be able to tap into my phone number and make calls that I will be billed for!????

A female by the name of Kelly called and asked for Damon and when i asked her what was it for, she said for Damon's health insurance. Then when I asked her can I leave Damon a message she just hung up on me. I called back to have the number takened off of their list.

It is a company trying to sell insurance, which i never requested, i just asked them to take my number out of their system, they have to.

Someone from this number called my wife's cell phone and asked about her insurance status (whether she was self-employed, whether a 3rd party was paying for her insurance).
