Who Called Us

I've been receiving several phone calls from this number since 11/20/2009. They typically call between 4-6PM EST. I never answer and they never leave a message. If this is for ACLU, I am disheartened and frustrated. I donated money to foster some small change not to be harassed.

Recorded message states that President Obama has ordered lenders to modify mortgages. If you press a number, you can speak to a representative to see if you qualify for mortgage modification.

I keep getting calls from this number. Something to do with repairing credit? Pressed #1 and let them know vehemently that I was getting tired of them calling me. The 'customer service' representative had some choice words for me and refused to take me off the list. I called the number back and supposedly got off the list electronically. I've done this before with other calls, and they only seem to increase in volume. BEST TACTIC: Tell them you're interested and if they can hold on for one minute. Put the phone down and go back to what you were doing. They HATE having their time wasted.

Caller told me I had won a free security system, installation, and free service!!
Also referenced some mess about vacation properties or opportunities.
Evidently a "hook" requiring purchase of some worthless package!

I just got a call from this number and did a little research. The address of the caller is 100-198 N 18th St
Omaha, NE 68102. I couldn't get the name of the company but you can see the building in the Google map. Maybe someone from Omaha can shed some more light on this!

three robo calls today

If this is a robo call from the tea party, I guess that they have nothing to say as usual.

Recorded message requested I press "1" to be added to google business directory. I had a similar call from 402-982-0861 in May. Same recording but the caller ID said "Brooks Partners"

received incoming call on cell phone and got automated message saying intro rate on credit card would expire and I could receive info about locking in at 6.something percent. except never give out cell phone#

caller ( said name was Hunter) wanted to know if I was the owner and was I under contract for security monitoring, I asked the name of his company and was disconnected

YIKES!!! WHAT A MESSAGE THEY LEFT ON MY ANSWERING SYSTEM STAING THAT I'M BEING AWARDED TO VISTING THE U.S. PRESIDENT IN WSHINGTON D.C. AT HIS OFFICE!!! BULLS TO THAT CRAPPY CALLER. THEN REQUESTED ME THEAT I MUST BRING ALONG 5,000 TEA BAGS TO BE AVAIALABLE TO SERVING PEOPLE WHOM SHALL BE THERE.

Weird. Phone rings. I answer it, nobody there. Phone hangs up in 20 seconds. Is this some type of computer screening call to see if someone picks up?

Similar to Cyndy - automated recording announcing that I could become debt free. Number on National Do Not Call Registry

Keeps calling - this time got connected to a live operator, who wanted to consolidate all my debt. I'm on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST - don't know how they got this number!!! Nothing mentioned about the tea party, just debt consolidation.

This has nothing to do with "conservatives" or the "tea party"!!!!

It's a scam trying to cash-in on using those references to try and get you to agree to some type of fake government loan program.

The same scammer also has been trying to do the same thing using Obama as their reference point.

Phone rang twice; I answered and caller hung up.

My husband was stung by a strange call earlier this year and got billed twice @ 19.95 per call... which is why I wanted to see if I could find out what this one was all about?

Caller Id displayed "Service Message";left no message. What kind of service that leaves no message?

The message was vague but concerning and scared me but also was annoying.
