How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

I didn't answer, they left no message.
"Please press one to hear a message about our borders". I saw somewhere on this web site that if you repeatedly press the pound key when getting these calls, it "fakes out" the telephone dialer into thinking something is wrong with the line, and it removes your number from their dialer. Also, if you get a call, or several, and no one is there, they are trying to find a pattern of what time someone eventually answers the phone, so that after several attempts they will have a live person on the line. Again, if no one is there, hit the pound key (jot down the number) and see if that number calls again. I will report back here if my hitting the pound key repeatedly was UNSUCCESSFUL. :)
Rang three times, then hung up.
Received calls from this number twice. I didn't answer the first time and didn't get a response the second time on 2009-05-08 when I did answer to tell them to leave me alone. That tells me the numbers they call are dialed by a computer. Extremely annoying!
I would just love to know who this number belongs to. I don't like political calls
