I received 3 messages over the last few days from this number. Same thing - apologizing for the wrong number. I called the number back (blocking my number) and heard a message to press 1 to be removed from future solicitations. I then called back without blocking my number and pressed 1 to be removed from future solicitations. Hope this takes care of it. I'm also on the National Do Not Call list too to no avail...

This number called back 8/21/09 8:04PM, and was blocked.

Apologized the first time, didn't leave a message the second.

I keep getting calls on my cell phone from them. When I called back it was a recording saying, "if I want to be removed from the calling list press 1"....i may have to turn them in the the fcca.

Who are these people ? I do not answer numbers I don't recognize, and I do not know anyone in Omaha NE.

Strange person states that they have dialed the wrong number (male voice); you hang up and then they call back later and do not say anything; they just hang on the phone listening The caller id states PRIVATE SUITE.
402-982-0810; I am on the do not call list and still getting these creepy calls.

Same message apologizing for calling - clearly a recorded message or computer generated. The weirdest thing is that they called twice, but the second time they called the first call got removed from my caller ID.

I did not pick up the strange number, no VM left. Usually telemarketers claiming "wrong number" continually like this means that they are looking for business lines. The autodialer (a predictive dialer) can tell just by a short answer like "Hello?" or a business answer will be much longer.

Creepy "old" voice apologized for calling the wrong number. This is 2nd time.

Another one of those companies compiling phone numbers for cold calls.

Creepy computer / synthesizer voice - immediately apologized for calling the wrong number

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
