How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Just got a new number and listed it on the do not call registry immediately. A week later I get a call from here. No message left. Hardly anyone even has this number yet!
I got a call from this number on my cell yesterday. It sounded like a fax machine.

Received a phone call that sounded like a fax line. Really irritating. The only thing that showed up on the caller ID of my cell was the phone #.
well, just got the phone call from the same number. Only problem was when I answered it sounded like someone called a fax line. irritated bs. Any one else that got this number own a blackberry? because I'm wondering if it's just a random thing or if it's related in a blackberry sense.
My wife just got a new blackberry few month ago, as she is deaf with ip relay as got message with that phone number, 402-982-0406, got her worrying as could be one of her friend calling her, so I came on this site "Who Called us" and told her it a scam, what waste of time for ip relay getting this scam, which does clog up the network and time and waste of funding money to support the ip relay and other deaf and hard of hearing peoples programs, should have their phone service shut off and fined too.
Called my cellphone, which I have not given out. I did not answer. Caller left no message on voice mail.
Said to call their 1-800-506-3006 number about the pending foreclosure on my house, would be worried however I am not a homeowner. I live in a student dorm. Left a long and detailed mssg on my cell that it was urgent that I call them back, they did not want me to lose my house etc etc etc. What a spam scam! They need to be lined up on a wall and phones dropped from above their heads until they are buried up to their necks. I hate SOB's buring up my minutes for such crappola.

Just got a call from this number on my cell. I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message. I read the thread, it sounds like they won't listen if you request them to stop calling. Does anyone know how to get them to stop?
Worse - pressed "1" (only option) and when I asked to be taken off their list immediately, a male voice laughed loudly, THEN hung up.

The Only professional business I've given this number to, in the past year, was some College Loan company, after I applied for a job online. The school people stopped after I told them a 2nd time to Stop calling. But I think they sold my phone number to people. I never give my cell out, and this is what they're calling. scam/spam agreed
agreed. they keep calling me. Last time, I pressed '1' or whatever to talk to an agent. When I asked them to take me off their call list they hung up on me!
Same as mike's comment. automated & stated nothing in wrong with your cards but they maybe able to lower percentage - named off ALL credit cards - I agree Scam or phone spam.
Automated caller, wanted to "help" me with my visa/ MC/ any credit card debit... mostly likely a scam.
