Who Called Us

This number showed up on the caller id today.

Clearly not "everyone" has reported Comcast. One call center can have multiple clients.

I see everyone is posting that this number belongs to Comcast-We live in Alabama and there is no Comcast in our area.Not sure why they are calling me.

In support of my reading reasons, I always used to get the video lectures from YouTube, since it is straightforward to fan-out from there.

Its my destiny to pay a visit at this weblog and find out my required article along with video demonstration, that’s YouTube video and its also in quality.

They have called 5 times in about 30 mins

This call came into my cell phone several times but no messages were left. I phoned the number back and repeatedly kept getting a busy signal. When the phone did in fact ring, it rang off the wall until it disconnected itself from me. I sent a text message to see if this was in fact a landline number and I received a bounce back text which stated it was indeed a landline number.
I phoned information and asked for a reversal on the number and was told they had no information on this particular number other than the number was listed as an Omaha,Nebraska exchanged.
Finally, when the call came in again, I quickly picked up the phone and there was a fifteen minute delayed response from the caller. I found myself listening to a recorded message which stated it was Central Hudson Gas and Electric Company calling to inform me that the service in my area had been restored. (Per my request two days before via my local utility company during the early winter storm along the northern eastern area.)
I shall make an assumption this is perhaps a service to notify callers of such for perhaps different businesses unless it is just centralized for Central Hudson Gas and Electric Utilities.

As previously indicated. Scheduled callback from an automated dialer. Comcast repair update. Called 4 times, I did not answer.

They called first thing in the morning and left a message from "Office Depot" about my order that was on hold had been canceled, and I needed to call their customer service back at 1-800-463-3768 which it is indeed an Office Depot number, they told me they usually hire West Interactive (a customer service specialized company) to handle customer service calls in their behalf.

I believe there are other companies doing the same as Office Depot, that's why West Interactive keep showing in the caller ID.

Call came in on my home phone; however, I did not answer and no message was left!

Geez, fingers hit the wrong keys, LOL. Neighborhood and came. Sorry guys!

I don't have Comcast in my neighborhooe & this call cem in on my cell. No message was left by them.

This is coming across on my cell phone. If it doesn't stop I will contact an attorny and the Company will pay for my cell phone bill.

I learned that this was a call on behalf of Office Depot (perhaps they outsource to West Interactive) to confirm a delivery of Epson Ink cartridges to my home. This was a legitimate transaction, so this particular call, while not my favorite to get these endless "Unknown Name" calls, was OK by me.

Called on my cell phone (registered with Do-Not-Call). I don't recognize number nor do I know anyone in Area Code 402. Just rings or is busy when I call back. I have Verizon service.

Update: I have since blocked this number from ringing my phone. I look in my call recods, and there it is - blocked call... blocked call... Doe sthis thing ever give up?

I just got another call back from this number, and it was an robocall from Comcast telling me my service is activated or some sh**. Problem is I don't have any sort of Comcast services that I used this number for the account. This is my secondary voip line they're calling. My Comcast cable is registered under our primary phone number. My cable was "activated" years ago...

I got a missed call from this number 9:00am on a Sunday morning on my secondary voip line. No voice mail.

we had just recieved a comcast box & they were calling literally every 10 minutes to activate our box, but from nebraska?? we live 952 miles away!?

COMCAST CABLE SERVICE REMINDER

It's Comcast calling with an automated message letting you know service was restored in your particular area. I got 4 calls from them! If you don't answer, apparently it keeps trying to call you. The 4 calls all occurred within 1/2 hour. Strange Nebraska area code...!

These idiots are calling my cell phone for whatever reason.....the call drops out and I cannot determine who they are.....additionally it is a computer generated call....I have my cell phone number on the do not call list and I will report this orgainzation to the federal trade commission.

I hung up.

I received a call from 402.572.7581 and it was Comcast Cable confirming my appt

I have received a bunch of calls from this number today 12/30/2007 about every five minutes to be exact. On my caller ID it states the call is from Omaha,NE.

this number 402 572 7581 is from Levits to confirm delivery. I just got a missed call from it before and called it back but it was busy. 20 min later that same number called so I answered it. It was an automated message to confirm delivery.

This was a call from Long Island Power Authority telling me my power had been restored (it went out late last night).

It's Mid American energy letting me know that power has been restored to my area.

This number called me to make sure that our power had been restored. We had an outage late the night before, and they called at 830 am to make sure it was back on and there were no longer any problems. It was an automated phone call and no live operator is ever available.

Last night my electric went out and I asked for a callback when power had been restored. It went out at 10:15 pm on 10-25-07, and I received this call at 3:57 am 10-26-07, the power had been restored at 2:26 am (I know because I woke up). I can only guess it was the call back for the power restoration. I think a bunch of companies have outsourced their callbacks to this specific company (West Interactive) for various different things. That's the only thing I can figure anyway.

On another site they said West was the company doing this, but I work for them and why would they call their own agents when they are taking calls for their own company?

3 missed calls from this number. Comcast is supposed to be coming out tomorrow and from my research on the internet I believe it is Comcast?

I do not have comcast or any cable/telephone service provider being I'm just moving into a new home and that same # has called my cell 3 times in a row today(10-13-07)each 12-13mins. apart. I couldn't answer because I was working and no messages were left. Had no clue who was calling so decided to google it instead of having to speak to someone I didn't want to. Very weird no??? This is an automatic dialer informing you that service has been restored for anything. For me it was LIPA service, as the electricity was out last night.

In the Northern Virginia area, got a call back from Dominion VA Power saying that my power was back on.

Just got the call here in VA from WEST INTERACTIVE. We dont have COMCAST, but we did just get power back from a storm, although I didn't request a call back from Dominion VA Power....

If the "West Interactive" entries are accurate, this is probably West Corp. (they have several call centers - west.com) calling on behalf of one of their clients.

yeah i agree with dave gee. it is a call back call if cable has been out of svc in ur area they call to let u know it's back on, automated thing i guess.

None of them left a message. My cable went out yesterday and was restored about an hour later. I had told the automated system to call me when it had been restored but it never did. If this number was them calling to tell me my cable was back on, they're about twelve hours late, and it's really annoying that they keep calling back without just leaving a message. Seems like this West Interactive company needs to fix some glitches in their system.

I also received two calls from this number. WHen I called back no answer. HOw do they get our numbers?

their a company that makes appointment reminders for various companies. but its a machine behind the number, so when you call it directly, no one is there to answer.

I got called @ 11:13pm 6/21/2007. Missed the call because I was in bed. Tried to call it back and it just rings and rings.

This is a courtesy call from Comcast letting you know service has been restored. I had problems with my internet/ telephone and the automated system gave me the option of receiving a courtesy call when service was restored...

3 Calls from this number between 6:30 AM and 6:40 AM. Did not know the number, so did not answer it.

I called this number back without any answer. I talked to comcast earlier today, but made no appointment for any service.

It was an automated message from Dominion Power (Virginia electrical company) informing us that the power was back on after an outage. I assume this is an external service they use to notify customers.

2/16/2007 After an Ice storm rolled through and left me without power I had called to report the outage. About 12-16 hours after power had been restored I recieved a call from this number on my cell phone so it did not display a name. It was an automated message regarding the outage that I had reported.

got a call on 1 feb 07. my phone just displayed the number and the state (nebraska). also got a call from (208) 906-1029 a few hours earlier which just said the number and idaho. didn't pick up either call, and caller left no message. getting timewarner cable installed tomorrow. based on other comments for these numbers i suspect it was just a reminder call but i don't know for sure.

I was happy the whole day thinking my ex girl friend from Omaha wants to talk to me till I googled it and found out it was cable companies. hate Telemarketing!

I got it! Power went out at my house at 10:00am. I called Dominion VA Power, and told them to notify me when the power has been restored. I got a call from this number at 12:20pm.

It is a verificatoin serivce. They play automated messages for appt conformation, and service restoration.

Not sure why they called - I don't have Comcast or Con Edison. Maybe they're under contract to numerous companies to make some sort of calls to consumers...

It's probably a comcast thing. I got a missed call from it, when I called back it was busy, but comcast is supposed to be coming by tomorrow and they usually call the day before to confirm.

These are automated messages from Comcast, e.g. for svc reminder or service being restored.

I have been receiving a call from this number for about a week now. I have attempted to call it back and have either gotten a busy signal or it just rings and rings.
