How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

NO MESSAGE JUST ALOT OF NOISE. CALLED THE NUMBER BACK I WAS TOLD THE NUMBER WAS DISCONNECTED. I AM ON THE NO CALLER LIST . THIS HAD BETTER STOP OR I WILL TAKE ACTION.

No message left. A call from this same area code came in last wrrk with a different extension and number; I expect it is from the same company. It's too much of a coincidence. I'm filing a complaint with the National Do Not Call List, since I am register on it.
Caller ID showed "CALL CENTER, FL" in all caps.
A recorded female voice claimed to be from Satellite TV. I tried repeatedly to hang up and disconnect the call. But upon checking for a dial tone 10 seconds later, the recording was still hijacking my phone line.
Some people forget that when you sign up with companys they sell your name and number. Most of my stuff is off its period and i am sure there looking for me to sign a LOOOOOOOOOONG term contract....
I called the number back and it said that it had been disconnected.
Caller ID indicated that a call was received from 386-428-2571 at 12;40 P.M. on 9/29/08. No message was left on my voice mail.
When I called the above number a recording came on saying, the number that you have just dialed is disconnected. If that number
is "disconnected" then how are they using it to call out on? ILLEGALLY!

This company is in violation of the National Do Not Call list. I am reporting them. I pressed 1 to get a live person and notified them that they are in violation and being reported.
Received a call from 386-428-2571, caller ID says "CALL CENTER, FL". A pre-recorded message in a female voice talks about cable/satellite tv and DVRs. I've been registered on the Do Not Call List since 2005. This idiot (individual or company) is clearly violating the FTC/FCC rules and regs. Report him on the donotcall.gov website by filing a complaint. I did. Plus, I will likely pursue legal action.
"Hi this is Mary Roberts from Satellite TV..." Recorded sales call to Maryland. I thought pre-recorded calls were illegal. (Yeah, like some lame law's going to stop any company from calling) On DNC list, but that didn't stop them.
