Who Called Us

I have received 3 or 4 calls in the last few days. We are on the "Do not call list" I turned the Co. and number in to the service.

Futuremarket Telecenter, INC actually does call on behalf of major non-profit organizations. I know b/c I used to work there! It is exempt from DO NOT CALL b/c it calls on behalf of non-profit orgs. All you have to do is ask them to remove your number and they are obligated to. The American Diabetes Assoc. campaign is much like the March of Dimes where you ask your neighbors for donantions on your behalf...it's all LEGIT!
Just simply call them and they WILL remove your #. It is an automated call so when an answering machine picks up it hangs up on the device NOT the actual person calling. Better them calling for a good cause and not a bill collector!

I called Sally, the President of FTE. She answered "Hello". She said her company was doing telemarketing for the American Diabetes Assoc. I told her it was bogus, and suspect that her company is bogus also. Call her. Call her a lot! 330-528-3058

They called us on 11/4/2006 @ 2:01 in violation of the 'Do Not Call List' which we are on.

3rd call in 3 days from them. Today is Sunday and they called!! Ridiculous!

they hung up when I answered so I used Star 69 and got the number that had just called. I'm on the do not call registry.

I did not answer, I was trying to have dinner. They do not leave a message on the machine. My Google search comes up with an RV park or Marina in Corpus Cristi. I belong to both the National and Texas DNC Lists.

May I suggest you call their office @ 361-937-2681 to complain if you are so compelled. I might write to the ADA & Flour Bluff Ind School and let them know of how I will not support them in the future if these practices persist.

As all the other comments, I've received several phone calls from this company. First one I answered and they asked for me by name, I said "yes" and they hung up. After that I haven't answered the phone and they don't leave a message.

I recieved a call from this number, and was hung up on. I done a Google search for the number from flour texas, and I got this site as a hit, and it seems this person has been calling all sorts of people. I am on the no call list and have been since inception...what now?

I called the number and asked that my number be removed from the call list. A real person answered and assured me that within 3 business days that will be done and I will receive no more calls. I am already on the Do not call registry, so that doesn't work on this number.

We have been receiving calls from this number for a couple of months now. Same as the other people, you answer the phone and nobody is there or they hang up. The excuse about the last caller hanging their line up is bogus. The new phone switches can do just about anything and not have a problem except maybe answering your questions.

Unbelievable that this number really belongs to the ADA. I'm never donating to them again.

after reading the list I called them and Christy answered, said she was from the American Diabetes Association. I told her to quit calling. How do they solicit when no one ever answers the phone??

They call often, they are never there when I answer. I called them back and had the woman take me off list. She said it would be done with-in 24 hours. We'll see.

I have received a call from this # @ least once/day. If I have been able to answer, no one ever says anything. Today I decided to Google and was advised to this website. I also decided to call the number and a recording came on stating it is on behalf of a non-profit agency and is exempt from the do not call. It also gave the option of leaving my # if I did not wish to be called again. I left the message. Thanks.

I just called 1-800-342-2383 and they said they would take us off the calling list. I told the operator we are on the No Call list, she wasn't real pleasant, but got the info and assured me the phone calls would stop!!

Received call once on 07/26/2006 and twice on 07/28/2006 from this number. What are these calls about???

I received a hang up from this number and called it from my caller id. The girl stated they were doing a one time fundraiser for Diabetes. I asked to be removed from the list which they stated would be done within 24 hours to at most 2 - 3 days.
I am on the DNC list but I believe fundraising may be exempt.

I received two phonecalls from this number today. I answered but received no reply.

Called but did not leave a message. Number was on our caller ID.
We are SUPPOSED to be on the NC Do Not Call List.

I spoke to the BBB and they did not have the number and it is not registered nor verified with them. That was the first lie. The second lie was that I would be removed from the call list. I called the American Diabetes Association because I felt it important if there was a scam using their name, they should know. Get this: ADA verified it IS their telemarketing number! I explained what has been happening with it, but that I had the supervisor take my name off the list. She said that the only way to remove your number is to call them directly. If you want your number removed, call 1-800-342-2383, hit zero to avoid the schpeel, wait a long time, and give them you information. It takes six weeks! However, I believe that this will do it. Just like everyone else, I've received several calls a day from 1-361-937-4055 for months. I called this morning from my cell. The operator answered just saying "Customer Service." I asked to speak to a supervisor. I spoke to Jackie. She said that the call was from the American Diabetes Association and that I can verify the number with my local better business office (I just might), that they are registered. I asked if they are legitimate, why do they hang up when I answer the phone. She said that because of the pre-dialer, the last call interrupts sometimes. I said, no--all the time. I stated that I didn't think it was very nice that I would race to the phone to answer their telephone solicitation only to have someone hang up on me. Also, that they do not leave messages. She said they weren't allowed to leave messages. I asked to have my number removed. She very pleasantly said that was no problem. I gave her the number and she said it may take as much as five business days to remove me from the list, but that she was putting it in for 24 hours. We shall see. I will try to follow up with a message if I contact the Better Business Bureau in my area.

i just recieved a call from this number today. i answered and they just hung up 7/16/2006. flour bluff, tx 8:48pm

I just called this number back and got a recording with the option of leaving my telephone number to be removed from their list.

Called at 8:06 PM CALLER ID was " TEXAS". No one on the line.

Did not answer phone. Caller did not leave message. I'm on "Do not call" lists.

Caller hung up at the third ring just as I picked up the phone. No one on the line. Reverse lookup says it is SW Bell number in Flourbluff, TX. I don't know anyone there.
i am on the national no-call list, but I still got a call from DirectTV last week. Related?

This number called first around 3 p.m. and no one answered when I picked up. Then later at 5 p.m. they called again and there was actually someone on the other end. It was the Diabetes Association asking for people to send out donation requests for them to their neighbors. I asked them to put me on their "Do Not Call" list.

I received this call today 7-3-06 @ 12:31 pm and again @ 7:49 pm. I let my answering machine pick up and then they hang up.

Received one call from this number. Caller hung up after I answered phone.

this # calls everyday and if I didn't have so many of these random unknown calls on my blocked caller list, i'd add them too. they leave no messages. we think it might be an outside telephone company who calls to charge you money just for answering, this has happened to us before.

The reason the call is to verify that the number is good. Then someone from number 312-470-2620 will call asking you to call 888-249-4124and ask for Kem Hughes. The are a collection agency.

They have called for atleast 3 weeks 2-3 times a day if i answer they hang up and never leave a message. I wonder if they are piggybacking off my phone line

Recieved one call/day this week...annoying!! Are NFP organizations exempt from the "Do Not Call Registry"?

Received a call (North Carolina) yesterday. The answering machine picked up the call but no message was left.

We have been receiving at least two calls a day (am and pm)from this phone number for almost two weeks. We pick up the call and they hang up. We called (spoke to a live person) them this morning and it is a customer service number for the American Diabetes Assoc. looking for donations. I let them know that we would be glad to make a donation but are not pleased with this poor and annoying service. They informed me this is a technical difficulty they are working through and would remove me from the call list in apx 24 hours. They apologized and appeared very sensitive to my concerns.

361-937-4055 shows on caller ID as well as TELEMARKET TE. They call 1-2 times most days of the week and have been calling for many weeks. When the answering machine answers, they hang up. Today I called the number and received a recorded message that no customer service agents were available, but if I had received a call, it was on behalf of a non-profit organization normally exempt from the "do not call" requirements BUT if I'd leave my phone number they would comply and remove me from their call log list. I did so. We'll see. Am skeptical, of course.

2 calls so far today, no one responds when I answer the phone. They are calling on a number that was installed less than three months ago, a new number for me...

I did a *67 & called the number (361-937-4055) - a female answered "American Diabetes Customer Service". I said "You're number was on my caller ID & what were you calling about?". She hung up. This is most likely an "information collection service" rather than a "soliciting telemarketer". Always ASK FOR THE SUPERVISOR & then to be REMOVED FROM THEIR CALLING LIST. By law, they have to remove you. These companies employ hundreds of teenagers in the area where I live.

Like everyone else, at least one call almost every day of the week, for more than 3 months. No answer in Texas. Phone company says number is not in their database. There is nothing they can do about it. Supposedly this number is a Southwestern Bell #. They profess there is nothing that can be done. Only chance is to have them (caller) remove you from list if you can get through to them.

Received calls for over a week from this ID. When I finally answered a female voice asked for me. I responded and they hung up.

I have received a call from this number everyday since february 20th - 2006. There's never anybody on the phone and when I called the number on my Caller ID (361-937-4055) the recording says the number is not in service.

we receive at least one phone call a day from this number and no one answers. The one time they did they were wanting another hitt and I advised them they had the wrong number but they continue to call at all times everday.

They call 1-2 times a day, every day. I answered once, and they hung up.

I've recieved 1-2 calls from this number every day for over a week.
