bs survey group who breaks law calling your cell or other number even though it is registered with the national do not call registry ! Complain against this number with the national do no call registery and register your numbers there.
Speaking of being ''Not Who They Claim To Be'', ''Savy'' is usually known as ''Alex Copeland''. How does he not realize these fake survey callers are using VOIP for pennies a day? I will respond again in the style he can understand:
Legitimate Comments Would Not Be Repeated Month After Month In A Spam-Like Fashion. The Only Response Alex Copeland Makes To Every Kind Of Call In This Asinine Capitalized Text Style Is To ''Always Answer''. If Call Centers Were That Concerned About Their Telco Bills They Would Not Consider The Phone An Ideal Instrument To Get Them Paid More.
The only ones helped by ''always answering'' are the scammers. Makes you wonder about Copeland's stake in consistently giving such faulty advice.
More notes on Copeland's dubious advice are found here from August 2011:

I have to strongly differ with you, Kris. This ''Independent Survey Group'' (or ''groip'' in sloppy Caller ID tags) has been known in the recent past as ''Political Survey Group'', which renamed ''Political Opinions of America'', which was formerly ''ESA Research'', all in the last few months.
Its so-called ''survey'' is a ruse to cloud the issue of Do-Not-Call compliance. As reported numerous times in many other threads, the real purpose for calling is travel sales, often of a not really free cruise. A few reports say there is a timeshare sales hoop to jump through as well. Any call with a sales purpose is covered by the Telemarketing Sales Rule. The FTC explains:
''Surveys or political polls:
If calls are being made for the sole purpose of conducting a survey or poll, they are exempt. But purported survey calls are not exempt if they are also part of a plan, program or campaign to induce purchases of goods or services. Organizations placing such telemarketing calls must comply with the Do Not Call provisions and are not Exempt Organizations.''

This means the faux survey callers are ripe for lawsuits from each of us who get hassled, the one problem being how slick they are about hiding their home bases, which may not even be domestic.
This is a scam to get your credit card info! These calls are legal because the Telephone Consumer Protection Act allows for political polling, even if your number is on the FTC’s Do Not Call Registry. You can read more about Political Opinions of America and Carribean Cruise Line here:

360-474-3936 on 6-18-2012, 425-390-8919 on June 14, 206-496-0953 on June 11, 360-474-3915 on June 7, 503-457-1368 as Ind Sur Groiup on June 4, and 206-496-0946 as Ind Sr Group on May 31. There were more prior to that but I'd already erased them. It is NOT a survey, it is an attempt to sell you a cruise. It starts with a teaser recorded message that you can win a cruise from one of their sponsors if you just take a survey. Press one to talk, press nine to be removed from the calling list. They obviously got the message wrong - it should be "press 9 to get ON to our SUCKER list." Atlanta, GA area.
call back say 'temporarily unavailable'
Call from Ind Sur Group, left message for political survey, and for your trouble you get a trip, but you have to pay taxes, and other fee's. Just a sales group. I am on the do not call list, and if you are too, file a formal complaint against them. The more they get the more likely they will go after them to stop.
JUST ANOTHER SCAMMER !!!!DON"T ANSWER!
I am on the do not call registry. I want the calls to stop.
called my cell, didn't answer - obviously some type of scam
These people call me constantly, only my home and cell phones, from numerous different numbers, pretending to be a political survey and offering a two day cruise for participating. They are actually a company selling cruises. They also try to get your credit card information over the phone, even for the "free" cruise (to pay "fees"). Many of their numbers I have called back and it gives the option of opting out of further calls, which I have done. All that does is get me called twice as often.
Beware ! ! ! They Are Not Who They Claim To Be -This Is An Attempt To Verify Who You Are.
The Only Way To Stop These Kinds Of Calls Is To Make Them Pay. Always Answer - They Have To Pay For Completed Call. Keep Them Talking As Long As Possible With Fake Info So They Have To Pay More.
Same old scam. Recorded call saying it's a political survey & you can win a free cruise by participating. The free cruise, from what I hear, costs a truckload in "processing fees". These people are just the typical scammers & even if you ask for them to remove your number, they never do-- they just switch the number from where they're calling. I'm getting about 1 a day on my cellphone anymore. How they got that number, I don't know. A LOT of these calls coming with Washington state ID's lately.
I neither know nor do business with anyone in Marysville, WA so I didn't pick up. Figured if it was either important or legitimate, they'd leave me a message. They didn't. Seems to be a pattern of these types of calls coming out of Washington state. I think an investigation is in order so the government can find out who these clowns are and send them on a well deserved vacation to Club Fed!
They called at 9 AM, didn't pick up, no message left (as usual).
"Sarah" from Independent Survey Group pretending to do a political survey after which they try to hawk a travel package. Nothing political about them and they are using this ruse to get around the DO NOT CALL rules.
Total scam and should be put out of business.
Called at 9:50 am. Did not answer. Don't know who they are, but the number is similar to a political call scam.
