How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Said something about being a GE dealer yada yada. When I told her she was calling my mobile and a "do not call" number, she simply hung up on me. Click. Apparently the gold ol' USA has some loopholes in the law that they continue to get away with this.
Another call (last one was in August) that said our household was selected to receive a free alarm system, but this time they did not say Monitronics instead they said they were with GE. The woman calling had a very thick accent and was hard to understand and when I told her that we already had an alarm system in our home she got very confused and started to stutter. Definitely against the DNC Registry but who do you complain to since the number is obviously fake?
Claimed to be GE giving me a free home security system. Yeah right! I would need a home security system by the time they got done.
received at 8:32 pm. picked up but no answer. will not answer again.
Person with accent did not identify themselves, said it was not a sales call but wanted to know if I had smoke detectors in my house. I asked who they were and said I was filing a complaint with the Federal Government. They then hung up.
None-Hang up on machine.
Call continues to come in from Florida - 352 352 0352 - no message ever is left. SPAM.
no message same old crap
phone just rang and upon answering it there was music just like the number from the scammers from on-line PC care which was 023-456-7890. i didnt give them a chance to say anything, i just hung up. I WANT THEM TO STOP CALLING ME. CAN ANYONE DO ANYTHING ABOUT THESE CALLS?
Used up a 60 second message space with nothing but background chatter...whispering...a woman clearing her throat, but...didn't leave a message.
Maybe, I'll send it to the FBI. Maybe, it's terrorists figuring out how to use our phones for their dastardly job.
No, I'm not paranoid, but...I'm not stupid, either.
Why the hell are these people calling me at 9:20 pm - oh, I know they're @#$%^&*!
Oh yes, "The Government" .... how perfectly vague. Slight tactical change, same Monitronics crap I've been reporting for months.
called and said she was from the government. Wanted to know about our smoke/fire detectors. When asked who she was, said this is the government. We pressed them on who and where is she from-- and she hung up.
Bloke with a "Queen's English accent" started his spiel in a very condescending tone. Then he hung up on me as soon as i completed the phrase "i do not need a GE wireless home security system". If this is an attempt to case my home, may God have mercy on the souls of those who break into my house. For I will make their meeting with Him very quick.
had this one before ... no answer. bogus calls from outside usa. asks about alarms. i tell do not call list and they don't give a shite. neither do I so next call with this number gets my sharp whistle in their ears.
Recieved calls from the above number on my cell phone.
Just had a all from this number. First time for me.
Couldn't understand the lady. But I think she was either trying to sell a home security system or tell me I won one. Just hung up.
This number 3523520352 appeared on my caller ID and was unavailable upon return call. Also another number this list 8668397720 has also appeared on my caller ID, What are they?
Trying to sell security system - I couldn't understand the name of the company. When I asked how to spell the name of the company she hung up. Tried calling number back - "the number you have dialed is not in service"
I too received a call from this number. If they're saying you won a "free security system" what they're doing is casing your home! If you don't have an alarm system, you might be an easier target.
RECIEVED CALL SATURDAY MORNING 10/16/10 ON CELL PHONE,AND CALLER DID PLENTY OF VULGER WORDS TELLING TO SHUT THE #*&@
UP AND LISTEN. I HUNG UP AND CALLED FLORIDA PHONE COMPANY AND THEY NO LISTING FOR THIS NUMBER. UGH

concerned from Saukville WI
Bob&Linda
The caller said that he was from GE and that I'd won a free home security system. I didn't stick around to hear the deal.
Please see my comment from a month ago before that second call.
They said that they were from GE and that I had been selected to win a wireless alarm for my home. I didn't have time to talk and go through their eligibility criteria but they said they'd call back.
They pretended to be taking a fire safety survey, but in reality were trying to sell alarm monitoring services. Beware!
They called my cell phone. First words out of the a**hole's mouth was "This is not a sales call", which to me means that's EXACTLY what it is. I yelled at him for calling my cell phone, told him I wasn't interested in anything he had to say, and hung up. Do these people ever stop?
Telemarketer asking survey about smoke detectors, similar to one received from 401 area code recently. When I did not give them my name "to complete their survey," the caller told me to "get lost." I enjoyed every minute of it!
Lady on the phone said she had to confirm if I had smoke detectors I said why are you calling she hung up

Called after 9pm and left no message
Asked about smoke detectors. When I questioned him as to his company, he told me to shut my mouth and hung up.
DEAR E , And anyone else that received a call from 352-352-0352 THIS IS NOT a real number the Florida 352 area code does not have a 352 prefex this IS A SPOOFING call useing a spoofing service to diguise their real number.
Several calls today on both my home phone and my business phone. I haven't answered. Caller(s) left no messages.
No one on line just let me repeat "Hello" twice before I hung up. Will continue to hang up or not answer any further calls. I am trying to figure out how to block this number on my phone currently.
I got a call from this number on my cell phone. I don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize. Thanks for the headsup.
Received call yesterday and today, no one was talking on the other end of the line just some loud music in the background on call from yesterday and someone walking around whistling today.
Just received a call from this number. Caller appeared to be in a room full of people and speaking from a script. It was a woman with a heavy Indian accent. I think she said she was calling from FIRST ALERT but it was difficult to understand her. She said she was doing a survey and asked if I had a smoke alarm in the house. I asked if she could tell me again who she represents. I believe she was responding when the disconnect occurred mid syllable from her side.
Received a call well after 9pm last night and again this morning. Go away!
Oh great, another alias of Monitronics and/or VMS. See entries under these numbers: 4014010125, 4014014010
I see the pattern of repeated numeric threesomes remains. Those two numbers are not valid North American numbers. People with VOIP service who can see all the digits have confirmed they should come from overseas, if they are not outright spoofed. Florida has a 352 area code but NOT a 352 prefix. It's the same for the alleged Rhode Island numbers, where according to the assignment rules a 401 prefix would be invalid!
Anyway, the scheme begins with a badly run survey conducted by rude and unintelligible reps. The end game, I believe, is to induce fear and set you up for a sales pitch. Perhaps taking notes from the nefarious Dove Foundation, this is done in a two-step manner which skirts the FTC no-call registry laws. Again, see those other forum threads for more detail.
shows up on caller ID as Florida. Could barely understand the foreigner, said something about my Gen. Electric card, I do not have one. She said four words and stopped talking, just heard other telemarkets (scammers) in the background. Then she hung up.
unknown name, from florida
Fellow had such a heavy accent that I could hardly understand him. Said something about a survey. Told him I wasn't interested and that he was interrupting my dinner, then I hung up.
got this call from this number at 12:00 on my cell phone ...heavy accent wanted to do a survey...I asked how he got my cell phone number...said his company...told him to never call me again...take me off any list I am on the no call list...
Unk. No Msg. Left
One call 8:35 PM on 9/3. Thanks for the sleaze warning, defenses are up.
Called the number back and got a phone company message that "this number has been disconnected"
A woman with a heavy accent asked if I had something? in my home. I told her I couldn't understand her and hung up.
Hang up
this is the third time they have called my number but no one responds when I pick up
They called but did not leave message. I tried to reverse search and only came up that it was Florida number.
Received my first call from this number moments ago. Research on Google shows me that it is a ploy to confirm you are a valid residence. Then a few days later another company called VMS out of Rhode Island calls you and tries to sell you smoke alarms. This whole situation is shaky at best.
Received a call from this number stating that our name had been selected to receive a free Monitronics Alarm System. This was definitely a BS call considering that we have had a Monitronics Alarm system for the last 4 years. Wondered if someone was casing our home to find out if the signs we have posted were real or not. I did contact Monitronics and let them know that this happened and they said they would be investigating it. . .to bad you can not call this number back because when you do you receive a message stating that the number is not inservice.
Got call. Answered after 1st ring. Nobody there. Dammit!!
the non-english woman asked for homeowner and proceded to say she was calling from GE.i found it funny my home phone even rang as we only use it for internet, and noone has the number.
HEARD A GIRLS VOICE IN THE BACKGROUND SAID HELLO TWICE THEY HUNG UP. CALLED BACK AND IT SAID THAT NUMBER WAS NO LONGER IN SERVICE
I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AT THE BUSINESS I WORK FOR ON 8/24 AT AROUND 3:45PM
Answered and heard noise in the background. Said "hello" twice, then silence.
Said it was not a sales call. Wanted to know if I had smoke detectors in the house. Said just answer yes or no. I hung up. This was like the one I got a couple of weeks ago from a RI area code.
011 prefix prior to 352-352-0352 called home number, unpublished
Person called my unpublished number yesterday and my cellphone as well today. Both are on the do not call list.
Man with barely unintelligible Indian (?)accent said _______Survey Solution, that it was not a sales call. I told him that I don't do telephone surveys and to take me off his list. Called at 8:43 p.m. on a Monday. From looking on other sites, I see that they pretend to be a company selling smoke alarms or something similar.
