Very odd. I have been running a home-based business for 20 years and get UPS shipments all the time. I have never had a call to tell me to expect a delivery. Ever. So I don't understand why they'd call me -- on a Sunday no less -- about a delivery. In any event I didn't pick up and no message was left. Weird.

Recorded VM left giving me a tracking number that wasnt valid on the UPS website. Didnt order anything. Recording stated UPS would leave info on my door regarding how to get my package....no info left...I had my identity stolen off the internet (Bank account #) and have gotten lots of garbage in the mail billed to me i didnt order. If this happened to you check your bank accounts to make sure your not missing any $ and change your credit/debit card account numbers right away to stop future scammers by calling your bank and informing them of the situation. Im sure I'm not the only one.

Recording said I have a package that needs to be signed for. I tried to track it but the number was no good. I haven't ordered anything. UPS doesn't have time to call everyone who has a package to sign for!!!

They called me this morning and left a message saying I had a package from UPS that need to be signed. They left me a tracking number and it worked on the site. A few hours later, I got my package from UPS. So, legit!

Got this phone call this morning..Called it back it was a recording.It told us a signiture would be required for the package that was going to be delieverd (in the case my little brothers Red ringed xbox360) Package came about 1 hour later..sure enough i had to sign for it. it was NOT a scam.

i got two of these calls and i work for and nationwide ISP. looked up the number and address and its bogus. can some one please tell these people to stop putting their address on this site. if not go ahead and post your social security number too , idiots!!!!

My husband received a recorded message from this number stating it was UPS. We were expecting a package that required a signature...seems legit to me.

I've just talked to the manager of the fraud department at the main office of UPS in GA. His department is aware of a number of scams like this. They are trying to get personal information, or money, or both from you.

DON'T GIVE THESE BASTARDS ANYTHING!

Sorry, what I meant to say that I only sign packages that come certified or requiring a signature from the post office.

Recieved call, they left no message. I am surprised that they would call someone to delivery a package when there are thousands of customer they would have to call each day. I don't sign anything that was certified or required a signature from the Post Office.

Called regarding a package that requires a signature for exceptance.

Called, left no message, called back and its legit. UPS calling ahead to make sure someone was around to sign for the package. In my case, return service for a Red Ringed Xbox 360 from Microsoft's Repair Center. The service is not a scam. If you receive a COD Package that you didn't order then refuse it (obviously) and report whoever sent it.

Called twice in one day (Sunday) - once mid-day, once in early evening. Upon the second attempt, a voicemail was left. It was a recorded message from UPS indicating that they were trying to deliver a next day air delivery package to me that required a signature, and that they will try again to deliver it the next day. They left a tracking number. Should the second attempt prove unsuccessful, they will again leave a message and try to leave directions/make arrangements for pick up. I am not expecting any package deliveries.

Called a few times and then left a message on the last call letting me know about a package I was expecting and telling me to be there for signature. I appreciated it but would appreciate a message the first time.

that number just called my cell phone and said they had a package for me to sign from ups. It's obviously a scam being that 1. I did not order anything. 2. I do no use my cell phone for anything other than personal things. They are probably wanting people to call back that number must be some sort of reverse charge thing. I don't trust random phone calls as far as I can throw the fat man making them. luckily I ignored the phone call and it led them to my generic non name voicemail message which I started to use after prank callers would use my name for things. This way anyone calls they do not know who they are calling or my name, only people I know. Can't be too safe in a world of crackheads! Good luck all.

No messages. I guess there is a UPS COD package on the way. Stupid MCM Electronics shipped me a package COD. MCM Electronics, Centerville, OH are a bunch of tight wads - they charge you for everything. Stupid 15 cents there charging me. Well at least this universal UPS phone number showed up on this website, so at least I know who it is.

i had no idea who called so i didnt pick up. they didnt leave a message so i called back and got a recording about the delivery of a package i was expecting sometime soon. the recording told me that i may need to have a signature to get the package and what would happen if there was nobody there at the delivery time. its nothing bad just a courtesy call from ups.

Its an automated message from UPS telling you to have someone at your house between certain hours to receive a signature required package. They wont leave a message. Have a pen ready to write down your tracking number they give you. Unfortunately I was up on a ladder at the time of the phone call fixing a gutter problem on my house and couldnt write down the tracking info! I couldnt get a live person to tell them I wouldnt be there the next day to receive the package.

this sounds like a scam, no one in my house has ordered anything from UPS. its not a holiday either. i'm not signing it.

Guess I have a delivery coming today. I don't answer ANY calls from "Unavailable" numbers - too many are just telemarketers. If legitimate companies are calling, they should have a caller ID showing. Why hide your ID if it is a legitimate call?

Yep, it's UPS sayting that there's a scheduled delivery which will require a signature. The tracking number is read nice and slow, so it's easy to copy.

It's worth knowing that many UPS stores will accept parcel delivery ($5 per parcel, they'll hold it for five days, then charge you $5 a day after that), so you could put that as your delivery address and never have to take a day off waiting for something.

Caller ID came up as Unknown Name and I have no answering machine at the moment, so they wouldn't have even gotten a chance to leave a message if they wanted to. Given the messages below I assume it's UPS calling to alert me about my delivery tomorrow that I'm expecting to receive based on their tracking information.

This is an awesome service. I do in-home Wine Tasting events. An adult signature (in person) is required for the delivery of alcohol! This is a great way to give the recipient a heads-up or to schedule a time when they can pick it up from the UPS facility!

When they call, you're supposed to call back. It will respond with a message informing you a package requiring signature on delivery is on the way.

Ah, got two calls from them. The first I missed (left no message), the second I picked it up. Said I have a delivery for a COD package--but I never ordered anything. Said I owe up to 119 dollars. I don't remember putting my cell down for anything except for the wicked tickets, but we paid for those and got them already. Tracking number didn't work.

I received a call from this number on Sunday, July 29, 2007. It was a recorded message from UPS. I telephoned UPS on Monday at the number listed on their website and was told thaty they do indeed have an automated system that will call ahead of time to let you know they have a delivery. I gave the girl my name and address, and she is checking with their distribution area see what delivery is to be made, and let me know when. Since I originated the call to UPS from the number on their web site - it seems that this is a legitimate service used by UPS to contact customers.

Gave tracking number ... only UPS could not locate shipment details when I searched for it on UPS website.

June 17 and 18 (Saturday and Sunday), I received calls (missed calls), but the screen indicates that this number called twice. I don't believe I have ever received calls from UPS on Sunday, notifying that I will have a delivery ahead of time, I do receive emails.

I called the number back, and got a recorded message from UPS; apparently, they try to call you to give advance notice of an attempted COD or Signature-Required delivery. Would be nice if they'd show a name in the caller-ID field and actually bother to leave a message, though...
