These criminal telemarketers illegally leave fake information on your Caller ID (hence why some of the companies who you think are the ones calling really are not). The only way to stop them from calling you again and again (using different spoofed Caller ID info each time) is to report them using their real identities. Information on how to do this can be found at the only web site whose focus is to do just that: heatherwithaccountservices.com.

Frequent calls over the past couple weeks-no message left

2008-03-25 01:05:26 UTCVickie

Recorded message said they were calling about my account and could offer me a lower rate. I pressed one to connect to a 'live operator', and when I asked what account this was for, she let out a big sigh of disgust and hung up on me. Called number back and received the operator recording for a disconnected number.

Called today; spoke to "Rick Freedman (Friedman?] - who said they were 'affliated with a company in India' but 'could not divulge their name' - said he didn't know about the calls, but stated that the
company in India did 'many different sorts of things.' Rick kept saying 'huh' in a bored, couldn't care less about this' tone. Will be reporting him to the FCC - suggest you all do the same. Maybe
that will change his attitude. I definitely believe he is connected to these ILLEGAL, if not CRIMINAL calls.

2008-03-22 14:41:12 UTCCJ

This number was on my caller ID and when I tried to call it back, it said it had been disconnected--I thought when you are on the DO NOT CALL list -these people are not supposed to be able to get your number--what do we have to do to stop this?--apparently the do not call list is not working

2008-03-21 20:39:30 UTCRed Bluff CA

This was an automated call. They said that it was an important message and that my vehicle warranty was about to expire and I would not be covered, to press "1" to speak to an operator and extend the warranty. I pressed one. The lady said, "Hello, I can assist you with your vehicle warranty renewal right now." I said, "No you can't. I don't have a vehicle warranty and this is a scam. I want to be *she hangs up* taken off the list."
I feel sorry for the people who will fall for this. This is a good reminder of how many dishonest people are in the world.

2008-03-21 20:15:41 UTCRoger M

The person was very rude when I told him I was on the no call and said I had used the number two option before to opt out of these phone calls and would report them. He told me he was filing a complaint on me. I don't know what for since I did not use any profanity, all I did was say that I was going to report them. He then said that he was going to continue to call me which is clearly a violation of the no call law. I then offered the suggestion that they were not a doing a legit business but only trying to get peoples card number under various names that had called e before such as Account Services and even warranty extensions. He started to ask me if I was sure I had five fingers on my hand. Say what?

2008-03-21 19:54:06 UTCVan

Yes, got called as well. VERY quiet. Annoying.

2008-03-21 02:47:31 UTCCC

Waste my time?!! Leave a message. Better yet, quit calling my number or I'll report you; for real.

2008-03-20 19:13:11 UTCme

this is a definite scam--I think what these people want is for you to give them your credit card numbers. Sadly, there must be people dumb enough to do that. Don't waste your breath asking the lowlife scum on the other end any questions, s/he is a criminal and is not going to tell you anything! keep a whistle by the phone and blow it in the scumbag's ear

2008-03-20 18:40:37 UTCWolf

I received a call from 321-779-3962 just about an hour ago and didn't bother answering since I figured it was someone trying to interest me in some type of phone service. I'm glad to know there is a website like this to see what others have to say.

2008-03-20 16:25:01 UTCRev

I had a similar experince. A few days ago a number saying "Florida" called with an automated message re my auto warranty had run out. I hung up. Today another call from them. I reported it today to donotcall.gov. If enough of us on the do not call list report them, someone will take action. Every time we report fraudulent companies, we are giving the police the ammunition they need to prove these companies are unethical.

2008-03-20 16:23:52 UTCGARY

These fraud phone calls come from ANONYMOUS CALLER ID WEB SITES from overseas. They legally use these internet services to fake their identity. No, there is no legal remedy for American citizens to figh this. Our lazy government politicians refuse to enact laws and ways to prevent these scam artists from faking their true identity. They even fake the caller id to claim they are from your LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT! You cannot get off their list, they are scam artists.

2008-03-20 15:35:24 UTCKenny

The guy said my warranty had expired on my car. I asked how he got my # and he said oh we have a million ways to get your #, you ready to renew your warranty? I said my cars are too old to even be close and he hung up.

2008-03-20 14:34:12 UTCSC

"Account Services". Finally I pressed #1 and a person came on the phone. The bastard did not have the decency of saying sorry when I told him my phone was registered in the Do Not Call registry. Next time I'll waste more time of his to teach him a lesson.

2008-03-20 06:56:34 UTCQuentin Deeds

This scammer has called me 15-20 times, and now that I have a cell phone it is very irritating. He always leaves his machine message on my machine or now in my voicemail. I hit the number to talk to a person and like the people below me I got a man with a weird accent. He asked me what kind of debt I had and I lied to him. He got all in my face, I think you are lying to me Quentin. I think you are playing with me. I assured him I was telling him the truth and he started cussing at me and cursing me. So I returned the favor. And you know what? I'm still getting calls from him. I JUST missed the call today, I so wish I had been awake...I want to give this scumbag a piece of my mind so bad.

2008-03-19 22:38:46 UTCJL

Missed call. No message. Later in the day I received a call from another FL #. Again no message.

2008-03-18 19:16:34 UTCJC

Missed the call and they left no message

2008-03-18 17:46:00 UTCT

This is the 2nd call from them. The first time it asked for the make and model of my car, i answered the question without thinking, and they hung up. Today, i didn't give the information, i told him about the hang up and asked what was going on, and he hung up. Wish there was a way to block numbers like we can block emails.

2008-03-18 16:14:44 UTCdl109

Called right at noon. Computerized message from "Heather" about my credit card interest rate. When I pushed "2' to take my name off the calling list, "Josh" picked up and tried telling me about this great interest offer they have and they can transfer all my credit card balances to this new card, all I had to do is give him my card #'s and all that info. I said "no way Jose!". He replied "my naje is "Josh", not Jose. Now about those numbers...." I gave him some colorful words and hung up. Reporting to the DNC.

2008-03-17 21:11:04 UTCdee

I've gotten several calls from them and I've just hung up. How do we report calls like these to 'do not call' registry?

2008-03-17 20:03:29 UTClisa

I do not answer unrecognized phone numbers. Curious as to who was calling with a 321 area code (my in-laws are in that area code but the number wasn't theirs) I did a Yahoo search and found this site. Thanks for the heads up.

2008-03-15 14:40:39 UTCRandy

I don't have credit cards (but I do have a debit card through my own bank)
I receive consistant calls; No Message, just the number on caller id.

2008-03-15 14:16:17 UTCjd

The call is an automated message with a bogus car warrantee message. There's an option to press 1 to patch through to an operator. I patched through, hoping to waste a couple of minutes of someone's time (I was cooking, so what the heck.) The call dropped after a few minutes of hold music, so I wasn't able to waste a call center employee's time. Sad.

2008-03-14 23:39:28 UTCSue

This number was on my caller ID today also. It said Eau Gallie, FL - No company name. When I get calls that are an 800 or 888 number, I just don't answer my phone. Also, if it says "Unavailable" or "Unknown" or I don't recognize the number, again, I don't answer. If it's someone that really wants to talk to ME, or it is important, they will leave a message. All those are usually either scams or telemarketers! IS THAT SO HARD!!!???? Just don't answer or push the OFF button to stop the phone from ringing. Have a great day.

2008-03-14 18:18:06 UTCAunttete

Calls no message left I will be reporting this to the do not call and will block this number from my phone if its about car warranty I do not have a car with a expiring warranty and I own no major credit cards...

2008-03-14 17:26:52 UTCv194

They called me on my cell phone!

2008-03-14 17:03:08 UTCC

Caller id shows "marketing" - of course they did not leave a message. Am going to file complaint on do not call website. Please file complaint if they are also calling your do not calle telephone number. Thanks!

This was on my ID. No message. I read several of the comments below, this sounds like the Company that I told of 4 or 5 times. But that did no good, so the last time they called about 2 months ago, I acted like I wanted what they had to offer and wanted to see it on the internet and they gave me the cardservices.com I think. Like I said that was 2 months ago, But now they are starting back. I will play the I WANT WHAT YOU HAVE and try again.

I received a call yesterday on my cellphone from a company stating that they could lower my interest rate by 6%. It starts off as a recording, #1 to speak to a representative, #2 to be taken off of the list. Out of curiosity I pressed #2. A man answer and started to give some long speech. I stop the man in his tracks and asked him which of my credit card companies was he calling from. he said that the company serviced all credit card companies. I then asked him for the name of the company. He said the United Debt Aid. When I asked for a phone # he hung up on me. My caller id says he called from Florida, 321-779-3962. My sister got a call from the same company for several days from the same company on her cellphone. She finally cursed the woman out and asked for a supervisor. The woman told her that she wouldn't be speaking to a supervisor and called her a whore. The # they called from was 407-207-0820. This is definitely a scam!

2008-03-14 00:26:35 UTCD

This was on my caller ID when I came home. I thought it might be a friend who recently moved to Fl. When I called the number back, it said the number was no longer in service. Will report to the no-call web-site.

2008-03-14 00:18:47 UTCJeff

The computerized call asked me to push 1 for assistance which i did and got "Larry" (he refused to give his last name. I asked him for his telephone number and he gave me 800-847-2911. I called that number and it answers "Visa Assistance Center. Please have your card number ready."

2008-03-13 23:34:45 UTCPatricia Hartye

When I asked to be placed on their 'no call' list, they told me they weren't required to keep one because this wasn't a "solicitation call". I asked for the full name of their firm, all they gave me was "Financial Services". They refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Whe I called the number on my caller ID it said the number had been "disconnected, or no longer in service".

Received call wanting to lower my interest rates on my credit cards. 3 days ago I received the same recorded message from 561-793-8708 in W Palm Beach, FL. These people are shameless. They want your credit card number and SSN. Beware!!

2008-03-12 21:41:06 UTCmrj

I was suspicious of the robo-call and pressed 1 to get more information. They refused to give the name of the company or the address. I told them that I was on the "Do Not Call" list, and the person on the line claimed they were referred to my number by my bank and credit card companies, which they refused to identify. That seems unlikely since the banks and credit card companies have privacy policies prohibing giving out of that information.

I concluded that this was most likely a scam to collect credit card numbers and other information.

2008-03-12 18:58:18 UTCLAH

I received recorded call from 321-779-3962 this afternoon stating that my credit is good but I need to press 1 to talk to someone to lower my intrest rates on my credit cards and time is running out.

I am sick of these calls.

2008-03-12 18:47:17 UTCV.L.

I received a call and this company alleged they were with Trans Union Credit Bureau but after giving them my credit card # for a credit card, I then realized it was not legtimate and they then said they were with IXE Credit Financial via Trans Union. I immediately cancelled my credit card and reported this to the card company. When I attempted to reach them via the number on caller ID (321-779-3962), it was noted within 5 minutes after the call, the number was "no longer in service." You need to check on these scam people and please let me know where to lodge a complaint!

2008-03-12 18:44:45 UTCJulie K

These people called me today with a recorded message about my auto warranty. The message said my warranty was going to expire, so I decided to follow the voice prompts in hopes of learning more about them, as I had tried to dial the number myself, only to recieve a recording that the number was no longer in service.
I was redirected to a live person who asked if I was interested in extending my auto protection warranty. I said "SURE, for which vehicle?". After that question, I got a DIAL TONE!
I can only assume that this is a MAJOR SCAM! Do Not give them ANY information, and make sure you file a DO Not Call Complaint if you are on the list!

2008-03-12 18:12:29 UTCJohn

I am on the national do not call list and do not appreciate this type fo telemarketing. I will make sure the authorities are notified about this.

2008-03-12 14:41:06 UTCwood

Credit Card acct. Eau Gallie,Fl
More telemarketers. Automated telecom, recoded info. Verizon wants you to order call Blocking at 7.95 a month; if not they allow these type of calls to come through

2008-03-11 22:57:24 UTCGeorge

Automated call offering lower credit card rates & requesting personal info. Have no need for this service. I hung up. ID showed FLA & 321-779-3962. No company name.

2008-03-11 17:15:29 UTCBooBooBear

This is one where they tell you to press 1 to talk to a rep. You don't have to listen to the whole message, just press 1 as soon as you know it's them. Then put the phone down for a few minutes while you do something else. If enough of us waste their time and phone time, maybe it'll at least cut into their profits a bit.

2008-03-10 23:41:01 UTCRob

Recorded message said that the call was in relation to my credit card interest rates.

2008-03-10 23:15:28 UTCLC

Received a call from this number too - when I say hello and no one answers right away - I hang up. So much for the do-not-call list huh?

2008-03-10 20:20:46 UTCJoe

This was a cold call to to sell me an extended vehicle warranty. I have been getting a lot of these kind of calls in the past three months.

2008-03-10 17:37:42 UTCHanky

Requesting car warranty extension - automated message then push 1 to speak w/ someone to get off list. They ask you make and year and you say which car are you calling about, they hang up on you. Called number back and says it's disconnected.

2008-03-10 16:56:21 UTCphatty

the guy told me he could get my rates lowered. started asking me my zip and last four of social. then asked for the 1-800 # for my credit card!! i asked which company he was with, and his name....he gave me some b.s. id # and then told me he was with Financial Services Visa Mastercard. i told him i didn't need his services, then hung up. when i googled the phone number, i found this. filing complaint with FTC.

2008-03-08 20:15:47 UTCE Y

The automated message said it was Card Services. I've talked to someone before and told them to take me off the list. Obviously that didn't work. So I pressed 1 to ask again and was hung up on. Isn't that illegal? Wat's wrong with these companies?

2008-03-08 18:19:12 UTCSarah

I just had a call from this number with a recording offering an extended warranty for my vehicle. It's 4 years old and has been off warranty for three years so obviously no one would sell me a legitimate warranty. Since I'm on the FTC do-not-call list, I pressed "1" and got William, who refused to tell me the name of the company and hung up on me. Both caller ID and *69 said that this was the number that called though like everyone else, when I called it I got the disconnected recording.

2008-03-08 16:19:23 UTCRoger

call and there was no one there. the line was dead or blank.

2008-03-08 01:37:30 UTCTom

i'm a little pissed cause they call every evening at about same time

2008-03-07 21:52:00 UTCKen W

I pressed "1" to speak to an agent. They identified the company as "Car Services". I have reported this incident to donotcall.gov. I suggest all people who are called report this number.

2008-03-07 19:54:16 UTCAJ

Got a call from this number today, the man said he could lower my credit card apr's - wanted to know my expiration date, I told him playing along and then he wanted to know my credit card number - I told him NO we are NOT doing this over the phone - what's in it for him? and I told him to send me some information through the mail - and low and behold he hung up! ha go figure!!!!!(oh and I am on the do not call list - I will be reporting this!!!!)

This is the second number that called and never leaves a message...is there way to block calls from certain numbers? I never answer...

This is a telemarketing scam -- they are looking for you credit card numbers. Complaints have been filed with the do not call registry. If you press 9 and tell them to take you off the calling card list, they hang up on you. I have reported it to the state of Florida, Office of the Attorney General.

I missed the call too last night. I did not recognize the number and did not answer, with hopes that I would receive a voicemail message giving me some idea of who was calling. Also, I did just call the number back and it has a phone system recording indicating that it has been disconnected. Very weird.

At the start of the new year I was receiving calls from another number that is in Florida. The calls from this number just started yesterday. I am pretty confused about how they have my number. I haven't been able to pick up the call yet but when I call the number back it tells me the number is disconnected.

I talked with the person on the line and told him I disfavor his calling me. And he was very abrasive and rude in return, because I pressed the button requesting to speak to somebody. I was wasting his time.

Automated call from 321-779-3962. I say automated because it seems to have played a recording. But I am not totally sure since I hanged up without wasting my time in confirming my first impression.

I don't have a credit card. Yet I keep getting calls from these people. So I pressed 1 to talk to someone about getting my number taken off their list. I got someone on the phone and explained to them that I keep getting calls and don't have a credit card and want to make sure that no one is using my name for a credit card and he hung up. I tried to call the number back and got a message saying: We're sorry you have reached a number that is disconnected or is no longer in service. What the HELL!

if your call is so important, why don't you leave a message. Tired of calls like this

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
