Who Called Us

I think someone working for T-mobile is selling your cell phone numbers. Lately I have been getting calls from across the country!!!!

I think the caller id was forged, which is illegal. This is not a typical telemarketing call. This is SCAM.

got the call @ 16:53 on 5-May - i also have At&t service, with LG phone in 801 area code. missed call, no message did not call back

I received a call from 318-998-9988 Monroe LA but I missed the call, the phone only rang twice.

I am an at&t customer, and I received the same recorded Spanish speaking spam call on my iPhone today @ 12:45pm.

318 area code is for the Shreveport, Louisiana, U.S.

I've received a call from this number twice now. Once about 2 weeks ago from +318-998-9988 then this afternoon at 12:40 from the same number without the + in front of the number. I have a Cingular phone if that's any relevance. Has not called my house number though.

Got the call yesterday and husband got it today. I had answered mine, was spanish speaking crap, he didn't answer his, but same number.

I got the same call on my cell phone as everyone else in Spanish. I have never seen such much activity about a single caller. 39 comments all ready in just 3 days! This scammer is running one big operation.

Called at 11am EDT. I didn't recognize the number and don't know anyone from Louisiana (I googled area-code super quickly), so I didn't answer.

I never answer calls from people i dont know. They left no message. Good thing I didn't answer it. I speak spanish and would of told them to screw themselves. lol

I also called it back and the operator said it was a disconnected number, I have recieved this call more than once and it is always on my cell phone

I got a voicemail from this number at 10:10 AM while I was in school. Have an iPhone on at&t if it matters.

Received an automated call from this number to my cell phone in Spanish. Pushed the numbers it told me to and the call continued to ring until I hung up.

My mom got a call but did not answer. She called back and it said that the number is not in service. I sent an email to everyone that I know to not answer this call.

It was in Spanish, but it was also a recording.

It was a missed call, but my co worker got the same call about an hour earlier and heard the foreing/spanish lady on the end. She yelled at her that she was wasting her minutes!

Also in Texas... I received a call at 12:10 this afternoon from this number. I did not answer the call since I did not recognize the number.

According to another website, a couple spanish speakers got the call ... they all say it's a tele-scammer trying to get your bank-info. Although it says it's from Monroe LA, it's really international. One person traced it to netherlands (?), another person from outside the US even got a call from the number.

Anyway, they say that you won a prize and need to give them your bank info to collect. One person said:
"They say in spanish that youve been selected to recive a trip and 3000 dollars... but to recive the prize you must give youre bank information wene you ask how mush its going to cost to recive the prize, she hangs up dont give any information out...you will be sorry if you do."

Had the call on my tmobile phone too. tried to get my neihgbor at work to listen to it since he speaks spanish but was too late. when i tried to call it back it was an international number i hope im not getting charged for their internationl call

I just got the call around 10 am, but I was sleeping and didn't answer. No ID, no message. 318, according to wikipedia, covers the northern part of Lousiana.

I live in the midwest and got a call from this # this morning too but didnt answer. Kind of weird everyone is getting this today

Got a call from this number on my cell (t-mobile) while I was at work. I leave my cell in my car when I'm at work, so I missed the call and there was no message.

I think its a tele-infomertial-sale bitch thing. when u pick up the call it says some shit in spanish.. fuckers!

Recorded Msg in spanish. No english after a short wait so hung up. Caller ID said Monroe, LA

i got a call from this number and no left message and when i called back i got a message saying that the number was disconnected. What area code is that from?? 318??

Just got a call from that number on my husband's cell phone, (3:05pm CST), didn't answer it, they didn't leave a message.
I googled the number and got not only this website reporting the calls, but a few other sites reporting the same problem, and all claim the caller spoke in Spanish.
