I made a follow-up call to Hyundai and this time they told me that they do indeed contract with companies such as Synovate to do phone surveys. I told them that Synovates constant calling and call hang-ups are tarnishing Hyundais reputation.
I did find out that Hyundai has an "opt-out" so that you can opt out of phone calls, emails, or mail from Hyundai. Call them at 800-633-5151 and "opt-out".
I called Synovate at 866-320-4607 and "opted-out" from them calling me, too.
It's been almost 2 weeks and no more calls!
They called again today but this time I was here to answer. After asking 3 times, she finally admitted that she worked for a market research company called Synovate, "calling about your recent service on behalf of Hyundai". Synovate.com, these calls coming form their L A area office apparently. I told her I didn't appreciate them calling and hanging up multiple times, day after day. I demanded she take me off their call list and never call my number again. I also called Synovate's customer service line at 866-320-4607, and they have an automated prompt so your number can be added to their company Do Not Call list. From what I read, as a "market research firm" they are NOT bound to follow the Federal Do Not Call list so they CAN call you even if your number is on the Federal DNC list! Another DNC list joke at our expense. I guess the best recourse at this point is to call Synovate's 866 number to get added to their do not call list, and call the Hyundai Customer Service number to complain.
I started to get continuous calls from this number after my Hyundai was serviced. I called the number back and the recorded message said it was Hyundai doing a survey on my recent service and they would call me back; they indicated no way to contact them. I called Hyundai Customer Service at 1-800-633-5151 to complain. The rep told me that Hyundai does not do telephone follow-up surveys, they only use mailings or email. They could find no record of this number and she said they don't contract with outside companys for surveys. They opened up a file and are going to investigate and I'll call in a couple of weeks to follow-up. I would encourage all to call Hyundai customer service directly to complain.
I had this same # call me for days, finally I answered. Some broad with spanish or indian accent asked "can I speak to so & so?", I said "what?", silence, again I said "what?" she asks "are you so and so?" I asked "what do you want?" and the bitch hung up on me. If she calls again I'm gonna give her an earful. Her ass should be fired & I'll see to it she does get fired. It's not bad enough they have to annoy the hell out of people everyday then they have the nerve to hang up on you. 'I' do the hanging up. They shouldn't hire retards like her.
Hyundai customer service survery
Hyundai Customer Satisfaction Survey
They call all day long. I never answer, and they leave no message. I called back and found out it is Hyundai calling to have me take a survey since I took my car to be serviced at a Hyundai Dealer. I think the next time they call I will answer, because I have some very nasty things to say to them about the people that sell their products.
I was contacted from above phone -- spoke briefly to gentleman -- about survey on dealer work done recently-- then when i commented about it he hung up-- my report was negative of course!! he did not want to hear what i had to say. so if you can help me please responde.. Larry House
I like the headline on that press release. "Hyundai launches Synovate's NADA-24 survey to help dealers win customer loyalty."
Win my loyalty? Not exactly the best way to do it.
See this press March 2007 release explaining how these jerks are calling everyone who gets their Hyundai serviced:
synovate.com
or
tinyurl.com
calling 866-320-4607 can allegedly allow you to remove your number from their database
call back to their number tells you to call 866-320-4607 to get their office.
you get a voice menu offering to remove any number you punch in from their database on "a couple days."
here's hoping. 2 calls in 2 days so far. both hangups. (scum)
other online reports say this firm does cust satisfaction surveys on Hyundai dealership repair jobs. Serves me right for giving my dealer my cellphone number.
This number purports to be a Marketing Research firm.
