How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Verbal cease-comms will never work, DSL. Move it to paper, via USPS Certified. The FTC explains more under its debt collection pages .... FTC-dot-gov
I believe the number is from Credit Management, a collection agency. They often call my home (11-24-10) regarding the whereabouts of my ex husbands deadbeats. I have told them NOT to call my number anymore but they continue.
this is a caller from north platte nebraska. called me asking about a neighbor that recently moved into the house next door. my guess would be a collection agency of some kind or a type of law enforcement/ dhs because the only way to get a number from an address is with a rl polk directory and these are only available to businesses and are quite expensive.
My neighbor and I received an odd call from this number two days ago. The woman, who did not identify herself, claimed that she was trying to reach another neighbor and tried to get contact information for her. I stated that I didn't know where she worked or any other way to reach her. The call was very odd. Caller id identified the caller as "C M". My other neighbor who got a call from the strange woman, same m.o. got "Blocked call" on the caller id.
(308)398-3015 shows up as CM on caller ID. The phone number is out of Grand Island, Nebraska. This is all the information I was able to get. Sorry, not much....
