Who Called Us

i dont remember what they wanted, advertisers no doubt..i have a "dirty word" pegged on their number so i'm sure it's a nuisance call! just found this site and was going through my cell phone phone book.

Did not answer. On the DNC list. Blocked further calls.

You can go to the FCC web page and file a formal complaint as well. This way maybe someone will do something after enough complaints come in. I just filed mine. Just go to: donotcall.gov

Same problem as everyone else..on the do not call list, asked them who they were and was hung up on. Called the number back and it said it was diconnected. It's probably an a number through an "online" service (Voice over IP). If anyone figures out who it is...please tell me, because I would be more than happy to call them back several hundred times.

I received a call from this number today. Thought I'd hit #1 just to see what sort of b.s. this was. Some guy came on the line and started talking to me about reducing my credit card rates. I was waiting for him to ask about what credit cards I had or whatever, but then I told him that we haven't been using credit cards any longer (the truth) since my husband has been laid off from work and we are watching every penny. He was like.. "so you don't use credit cards lately" and I said.. "nope... not since my husband isn't working". He said.. "thanks" and hung up. What scared me a bit was that he knew my last name, so for a moment I thought maybe it was some credit card company calling. Then I called the number back and it was out of service. This is definately a scam. Do not give these people ANY INFORMATION!!

Called but did not leave message. Who are these people and what do they want?

Don't expect them to honor your Do Not Call List registration. They're fraudsters, and they don't care if you're on the list. Don't try calling back the number; they use a fake one. You can ask them to stop calling you till you're blue in the face, but it won't work. The best thing to do is to stop picking up their calls. They'll occasionally use a person's name on the Caller ID, but usually, they use something like "Florida Call."

I answered this phone number and got a recording that said it was "Account Services" and I qualified for a credit card offer and if I wanted to accept the offer to click 1. I knew that I did not have an existing relationship with these people as I could tell that they weren't affiliated with any of my credit card companies. I pressed 1 to talk to a representative.

When she answered I STARTED to explain that I did not have a relationship with her company and I was on the Do Not Call list, but before I could ask to be removed from her list, she hung up on me. What a crock! Not only is it illegal for them to be calling me, but when I try to explain (and I was calm and NOT rude), they take the very "professional" way out and hang up.

"Kevin" answered. I told him that I was on a do not call list. He responded" I don't care", and hung up.

I've had it with these 'lower credit' calls. From now on when they call, I connect to their operator and start reciting bible verses nonstop!! Everybody do the same!

Shpiel about being almost too late to reduce credit card charges, if I had at least $2500 outstanding. Said hit 1 to talk to a human. Did NOT give alternative of 2 "to be removed from our list". I hit neither and it eventually hung up.

Anyone that spoofs their caller ID can't be trusted. The line they indicate they are calling from is disconnected. Fortunately, I have an answering maching and use it for call screening. Unless the caller ID is someone I know, I never answer until I hear a voice and hear who it is. Frankly, I never respond to any request over the phone whether it's a survey, am attempted sale, or whatever, when they call me. I don't give any information out over the phone unless I made the call to a number I looked up. There are just too many scams.

I pushed the number for a live person, then I asked which credit card company she represented.
She said ANY Visa or Mastercard. I then asked to be put on their Do Not Call list.

First time call from this number, I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. Apparently, the Do Not Call List and my Call Intercept are not working. At least when I get spam emails I can trace the IP address and send the emails back to the company saying to remove me from their list.

credit card increase call came from FL. I did some inverstagating and found this the number belongs to Dionne Sangster 6501 SW 59th CT South Miami FL 33143 There are 3 people living at this address there is anther # list for this address it is 305-661-5663 Hope this helps stop the calls

Automated message asking if we wanted to reduce our creditcard debt...

"This is card services with a special rate reduction offer that expires today. Press 1..." Then you get a person. We are the Visa and Master Card Rate Reduction Center. Do you have balances? (yes)
What is your interest rate? (whatever) Now I need to verify that you are authorized on that card. Please get out the card. Tell me the phone number on the back. Then you'll enter your card number and PIN to confirm that you are authorized."

It's a fraud. This number is a spoofed caller-id (easy to do). This number is not a working number. Fraudsters spoof caller-id so no one can find them. Get you to reveal your card number and PIN. I think they record your touch-tones or have a touch-tone readout.

This is fraud. Don't expect them to consider the Do-Not-Call list, don't ask them to remove you. Just hang up and call your state attorney general. I'm getting these fraud calls roughly once a month.

I'm on the "Do Not Call" list, but I get these all the time. I wait through the recording to speak to a live person. I always ask for their name before asking to be removed from the list. This call, however, the person hung up on me immediately. I hit *69, then reverse looked up the # on whitepages.com. It's a landline on SW27th Ave, the 3400 block, in Miami, FL. I called the # back, but it's disconnected. Riiiight

Recorded message about reducing credit card rates. Pressed 1 to talk to someone. Got connected and told the person that they reached a do not call number. Woman hung up.

The robo call said to press one to receive a 6.9% interest rate on credit card debt. There was no option mentioned to remove my name from the calling list. My number is already on the do not call list. I tried to call the number back and a message indicates the number is no longer in service.

Pressed 1 to request to be taken off the list and was hung up on, like many other people mentioned.

Next time I'll take it to the next level, so she won't hang up on me. I'll act like I'm falling for the gimick, just to get information on who they are. Then they can be reported to the FTC and anyone else who has jurisdiction over this company. I am fed up, and more fed up with not being able to do anything about it. Let's all do this, and take it to the next level. I have even tried calling them back, and get a disconnet recording.

Prerecorded call from Unknown Caller at 305-665-2656 identifying herself as Kristi/Kristy/Christy/Christie indicated this was a "final notice" to me about my "account" and that I should press 1 to speak with an account manager and 2 to terminate the call (or vice versa). I did neither and the call disconnected

same thing as others, waited for rep, and when i asked to remove number,
she hung up on me.

No message but when I called the number back I got a message saying it was disconnected - this was less than 1 minute after they called me.

Also the suggestion about doing a google search for your # and then removing it from google so these people don't call you is not necessarily going to help people. I did a google search of my # and it does not show up in google so.

Get tired of getting telamarkerter calls when I am on the no call list... They want to get you out of credit card debt

call from this number - rep says Account Center for Visa and MC. Answer to next question is to hang up on me. I called the number back and the phone company recording says it's a DISCONNECTED NUMBER. How do they call from a disconnected number? What can we do to stop this?

I love wasting their time, so I pressed 1. I told the guy I like to know who I'm doing business with, so he said he was with "Account Services". I asked if that was the actual name of the company---he said it was. He kept asking me if I wanted to lower my interest rates; I kept asking about "Account Services". I finally told him I am on the Do Not Call list, but he said he didn't make the call, the automated system did. I asked if there was a way to be removed from their calling list, but he hung up on me.

I have been receiving NUMEROUS calls of this same nature, but from different numbers. This time it has been from this number. I finally hit "1" to "lower my rates", and I asked the lady who picked up what this was for.
She stated it was to lower my interest rates on any MasterCard or Visa. I then asked her who they were b/c I have asked them several times to STOP calling me and....she hung up in my face.
If anyone finds out who these people are, please let me know. They continue to hang up on me whenever I ask them to stop calling (hitting "2" NEVER works), I'm on the do not call list, and when you try to dial whatever number is on your caller ID...it is disconnected.

Bottom Line: These people suck!

Got a pre- recorded message to press 1 to lower my cc rates. I pressed 1 to get the name of the company to report them because we are on the NDNCR. The man said the name of the company was "Nunya" and I asked how do you spell that? He spelled it for me and proceeded w/ ?'s about my cc balances. I interupted him and asked if this was a real company or a joke due to Nunya (like none ya business) and he laughed and hung up on me. I can't believe that there are people that would actually work for such scummy company such as this and lie to their callers. How horrible!

This number called today...same press one to lower rates press two to not receive this call recording... so I pressed one out of curiousity. I asked why I could not just call my credit card company and the male replied that cc companies are just out to make money and would not offer this same deal to me as their customer directly which I found very odd. I asked who they were representing and they said all cc companies with Mastercard and Visa. When I told him I was not interested (sounds like a scam) he hung up. just like that. I googled the number and this is the first site that I came upon. I want to reinforce that I believe this is a cc scam or identity theft scam. do NOT give any information to these callers. We are also on the DNC list.

Offered to lower my credit card rates. When I pressed "1" and said I am on Do Not Call List, "Stephanie" hung up.

When I answered I got a recording that said "please stay on the line, or press 1 if you are interested in taking advantage of a lower interest rate on your credit card". I stayed on/pressed 1(don't remember which) just for kicks to see who could possibly be calling me and why because I do not have any credit cards - I don't use them. A man answered and said "Card Services...were you calling about getting a lower rate on your credit card"...I laughed and said,"well no, not really...because I do not have any credit cards"...the man immediately hung up on me! My guess is this is some kind of SCAM who will get unsuspecting people who stay on for the additional info to provide them with their account # etc...so they can steal money from you!

Several calls from here. Press one to get a 6% interest rate. I pressed 1 and the lady asked me if I pressed one to lower my credit, I said no, I pressed one to tell you to quit calling me and she hung up on me.

on a do not call list, but they call anyway

Just so you all know, they can look you up on google when they search your number google has you listed even when you are an unlisted number such as like my number. So I would, if I were you serch your own number on google and take yourselves off googles list of numbers. Hope this helps some people! :0) And this number called us as well and have no idea who it was she hung up on me when I asked for her name first and a reference as I do everytime someone calls me from any kind of company if they can not give you any references then they are fraudulant calls!

This is a company calling itself Consumer Services. If you press a number to reduce your credit card rate, they forward your call to a person who wants to know how much your debit is, and which credit card, and the number of course. ETC. I understand they are legal, bec. they do (for a hefty fee) call your credit card company to reduce your credit card rate. But if you want to reduce your credit card rate you can call your credit card company yourself.

Don't give them any info. And if you gave them your credit card #, call your credit card immediately, tell them what happened, and they will cancel your card and issue you a different one.

I pushed '1' to talk to them, and asked if they were telemarketers, and he called me an AHOLE.

I will play along when they call again and try to keep them on the phone for as long as possible to waste the TMs time and money.. them call them profane words.

Answered the phone and a recording began with "press 1 to reduce credit card rates press 2 to not receive this call". We are on the "Do not Call" list, we shouldn`t be getting these calls! I fear it's some sort of scam. Tried to call back but number was out of service. I find that very odd since they just called me.
