Who Called Us

Seems like this same message is coming from another source now. They still seem to be calling up with some of the same messages heard below, but for whatever reason, I am not able to pull up the new number. Has anyone got a similar call with a new number registered?

I pressed 1 and asked them to take me off their list, they hung up which is against Canadian and USA laws as far as i am aware.

Pressed 3 a million times, they call on average 5 times a week.

They've called at least 6-7 more times in the past 2-3 weeks.

Who do we report these mother fuckers too?

They've been pulling this scam for months now.

Did not recognize telephone number with strange area code on caller I.D. after coming home from work; but when I call back, I got a recorded message saying the number has been disconnected. The telephone number is probably routed somewhere else, probably the carribean or aboard to another forwarding telephone number.

Sounds like its a bogus call. Don't know anyone connected to this phone number and I never talked to anyone either. Please - always be leary if suddenly a weird name or number comes up. Especially if they are talking about your credit card acct and you have had the same ones for awhile. Why would these people be calling you out of the blue now? Sick of these scamming people.

This company is supposedly called MRS Associates - who will hang up immediately if you want to know who they are or to have them stop calling. They are, allegedly, located in Cherry Hill, NJ and several other locations but not in Florida, the displayed number.

Something about an expired auto warranty.

This North Miami Beach, FL call came to me in KS on 3-21-08, Tuesday @ 12:51pm. I did not answer it and no message left. Others report a credit card rate reduction scammer, and in another case, mentioned upcoming expiration of auto insurance. Other sites advise the flip of the number is Sandi Lawrence of North Miami Beach. At any rate, it's a scammer. Nuke it.

I received another call from these jerks today so I did some investigating. Lawrence Sandri is a retired FBI special agent so his name is probably faked by someone with a grudge against him. I've asked the Miami field office if they can do anything about this.

This is about the 7th time these people have called. I have advised them they are in violation of National
No Call Law, but they ignore it. Always wanting to save you money on credit card interest. One time it was a woman and when I told her I wsn't interested she became irritated and said she would just pass the savings on to someone else and banged the phone down. I have reported them to the No Call Registry as of last night again.
Lawrence sounds like hs is sitting on a rock in India. It is absolutely a scam to get into your credit report and attach your idenity.

From information gathered from other sites about this number, it is very likely these calls are coming from overseas where they are not obligated to follow the 'Do Not Call' list and are 'fishing' for information.

May not be the case but I doubt the calls are actually comming from Florida or the name connected to the number.

There is a device you can buy and connect to your phone line so if anyone calls your number, they get a message indicating the number they called has been disconnected when in fact it is still in use.

If you get a call from this number and manage to keep them on the line somehow, have somone call the number while your on the line and I'll bet you get the same message.

Ugh. 19 pages and counting. My work cell is very similar to this number, so guess what? I've been getting a LOT of return calls from people about this. If they dial the number, it's obviously disconnected. However, if they hit redial on their phones, it simply calls a local number and bypasses the area code. My prefix is 305, so I've been hammered with calls.

So the number is disconnected; we know that. Someone is spoofing the number and, more specifically, S. Lawrence. Surely something can be done on this. Something I was thinking was a call trace. You'll need to check with your local telco, but I believe on mine it's *72 or something like that. I used this recently when I received obscene phone calls from a couple of kids using "Private Caller."

The calls were sent back to the telco, and then I had to contact the local police department (NOT 911) and open a case. Once I had the case, I had to provide it to the telco, and then the two of them connected to obtain the necessary info. Ultimately the calls were traced (took about a month and a half), and the parents of the kids were notified (per the detective I spoke to). Keep in mind that these initially cost me about $8 or so to do. I was able to get the telco to waive the fees, though.

Why couldn't something like this work? If it points to the 305 area code but is masked, surely the telcos could truly find out where it's from.

They've called us several times and left messages about "Your automobile warranty has or is going to expire. Please don't be caught driving without this important coverage. This is a total scam be very wary of these people.

Got call this evening. Automated woman's voice saying that I might have won a cruise. Press 1 to talk to them, 2 to be removed.

Pressed neither and reported to do not call (was seeing scam reports all over googling the number).

I received a call from this telephone number (305-654-1842) twice within a hour span. I also ended up here.

Called and said I won a trip to Florida. Asked for phone number- gave it to them, asked if I had a credit card, said yes, they hung up.

ok folks...you seem to be missing out on prime opportunities to go off...I mail back credit card offers with nothing in the prepaid envelopes just so it costs them twice or sometimes I put a smiley face flipping the bird....when this automated called me twice, the first time she hung up on me...called my other line so I acted all nice and asked what can you do for me and when she asked for my information I politely asked could she suck my....she hung up...now am I pissed or is she? hmmm...have fun with these jokers and then report them..don't let them steal your sunshine.... I'm thinking if they call again my credit card is going to be however many numbers they need and my name will be buck nakid or i.p. freely... jokers..

They call me and when I answer its something about "Your automobile warranty has or is going to expire. Please don't be caught driving without this important coverage. I keep getting these calls all the time. "Heather" tells me I can reduce my credit card rate, even though I have no Credit Cards. I pushed 1 to talk to someone, he tells me why am I bothering him if I have no credit cards, calls me the F-word, then hangs up. Nice, huh?

This person is calling my Cell to sell me on the idea of her cutting down my credit card interest rate. She was very rude when I asked for her company name. I will report this to South Central Bell TELCO in North Miami as this is where it is listed.
This person wouldn't even let me ask a simple question without being very rude.
She was crude and very verbose with her filthy language when I attempted to ask a question, telling me I was talking over her.

just had my purse stolen, received this call several days after and when they did not speak i asked, "are you the person who stole my purse" then they hung up... also received a call from another company claiming my macys card was late and they wanted to have me pay it over the phone.. the card was only 4 days late and i've never been late but thought it was strange they'd be calling after only 4 days late.. i even hassled the guy for that fact.. be careful

Got a call from this number on my caller ID this morning. They left no message.

Here we go again. I had recently blocked a couple of the most recent all-too-cheerful "Heather from account services" caller's numbers, but I just had to add another number to the blocked list: 3056541842 . This time, when I pressed "1" to speak to a human, I simply asked, "Do I have to contact the Attorney General in order to get off of your calling list?". Of course, they hung up on me. I hope the economy turns around so these pitiful people can get real jobs... I'm going to report them to the Do Not Call Registry, in case it makes any difference (sigh).

Called today; spoke to "Rick Freedman (Friedman?] - who said they were 'affliated with a company in India' but 'could not divulge their name' - said he didn't know about the calls, but stated that the
company in India did 'many different sorts of things.' Rick kept saying 'huh' in a bored, couldn't care less about this' tone. Will be reporting him to the FCC - suggest you all do the same. Maybe
that will change his attitude. I definitely believe he is connected to these ILLEGAL, if not CRIMINAL calls.

All I know when I picked up. It said you can lower your monthly bills on your credit card up to 6%. I just hung up after this. Then came to the computer to type in the phone number to figure out who it was.

Calls daily. Message about better rates,etc. for my credit card. Several options to choose from - opt out of this call, etc. I don't trust them, so I hang up. Just put them on my "decline calls" list - thanks to Comcast phone service.

I received several calls from this phone number.

Apparently, they used a forged caller ID of this number. When I
called it, I got a recording saying that the number that called me
was disconnected. The marketer in particular calling me on these
occasions was "Warranty Activation Center" in Florida to renew
my auto warranty. I don't have one, nor do I want one.
Even if I did want one, I don't want to be marketed to, by
ANYONE, for ANY reason, EVER.

I pressed option 1 to get to a representative and I asked the name
of the company. "Warranty Activation Center in Florida", was
what I was told. I searched for the name/number on Google and
found this site. The number that called me was (305)654-1842.

I'm on a "Do Not Call registry" and have been for years. I've asked
to be removed from their calling lists, yet they insist on continuing
to call my home at all hours.

I'm reporting them to the FCC, let 'em get fined several thousand
dollars, it'll be an EXTREME pleasure reporting them. Where do they
get off sharing my contact info.? WHY doesn't congress pass a law

Recv'd call at 10:38am on 3/24/08. I have recv'd calls from this number before and have pressed 2 to be removed from their calling list. Obviously it didn't work because they keep calling. They are offering a lower int rate on my credit card. This time I pressed 1 to speak with a rep. A woman answered, didn't get her name or the co. name but I told her I was sick of the calls and demanded I be removed from their calling list again. She verified my number and said she'd remove it. I didn't believe her. I will be reporting this but what good will it do since the name and number that shows up on the caller ID isn't valid. When I called it back I receive a recording stating the number is disconnected.

03/24/08 At 11:05am. They called me, and said they can lower my credit card interest press 1 to talk to a customer service representative. When I pressed 1 I got a guy calling himself Michael of Consumer Credit Company. I asked him why they keep on calling me when I'm on the do not call list. His repley was " Your mother sucks cocks" then he hung up.

got a call from this number at 10:04 on 3/24/08. Didn't recognized the name (Lawrence Sandri) or number so I let it go to. Voicemail but they left no message.

Once again, calling to offer me an "extended warranty" on my vehicle that is about to expire... Funny how I don't even OWN a vehicle. However, to waste some of their time, I pretended to be ignorant, claimed to have 4 cars and asked which he was calling about. Played it dumb... finally said one was a 2006, but when he asked for the model, told him it was "green"... this made him chuckle, but he said he could not pull up my information without knowing the model. That's when I bellowed into the phone that I did not want their scuzzy scamming butt calling me anymore and I did not even OWN a vehicle. Don't know what he may or may not have replied... I hung up on him.

Recorded message said it was credit services calling about my credit card and that everything was fine, but that this was my final notice to lower my credit interest rate. Press 1 to be connected to a live operator; 2 to be removed from further notices. Recorded voice said her name was Heather.

Received a bunch of these recently, but this one is the only one with the discontinue option.

I didnt answer it i just looked up the number and found this web site.

Recorded message saying "this is your credit card company" and that they were giving me final notice about the opportunity to lower my interest rate. They didn't say what credit card company. They wanted me to press 1. I hung up.

I've been getting this call for a while now. I was actually home to pick it up. The person I spoke with claimed to work with Wells Fargo and 500 other banks. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked to speak with a supervisor she said, "No you may not." When I told her that I wanted to be taken off her list, she said, "We're going to call you 50 more times to piss you off." I called Wells Fargo and was told that they don't work with any outside vendors to place outbound calls to credit card holders. Any ideas how to stop these people?

Like one of the other posters, this pre-recorded message said something about my credit cards and wanted me to press one. I didn't do it
because I figured it was phishing scam. Be very careful with these kinds of scams!

Received call on business cell. Didn't recognise number thought might be a supplier about a Purchase Order. Call said something about Auto warranty expiring. I disconnected.

Call made threatening message regarding credit and stated this is your last chance.

Calls me daily. Offers an extension on expired auto warranty. Won't leave message if machine answers. When choosing option to be removed from their call list, a male recorded voice says, "Thank you, you've been removed." Then I get another call the very next day. Sometimes before 7 am and sometimes after 9 pm. I'm on the Do Not Call registry but that means nothing here. If I call them back when doing a *69, I'm either told the number is disconnected or it's a working number but having operational difficulties and I should call back later. I've been dealing with this for three or more weeks and I've reported it to my State Attorney General.

It is really strange I have received this call I bet 15 times in the last 6 months and every one a FINAL NOTICE. Recording with a female voice, claiming they can lower our interest rates. This person is on several complaint lists, and has been report to various government agencies for trying to extort information, harrassment, etc.

A call from this name and number came around 8pm tonight - we did not answer and a message was not left on the voicemail. I got online to try to get some info about this number and came across many hits about this name and number. We live in Michigan and for now, we have nothing to do or to report but am glad we had caller id!!

They got my Sprint cellphone number, how? I do not know, I rarely give this out.

Computer recording selling car warranty. I called Sprint, they told me there is nothing they can do about it!!!! Maybe they read this and they will block that number on their database. Go Sprint, do something, and be helpful to your (few remaining) customers!!!!

Same here. Call at around 315pm on 3/21/08. Caller ID said LAWRENCE SANDRI. I didn't answer, but called back to get a recorded "number has been disconnected."

After receiving my second call from this name and trying to call the number back, where I got a recorded message from the phone company saying this number has been disconnected, I called my phone company and asked them if they could find out who really called. She tried the number and got the same message. She added a feature to my phone line called Call Trace. They have more sophisticated ways of finding out who is really calling. After 3 successful traces these people will be prosecuted because what they are doing is against the law. If you are getting repeated calls from these scam artisted I would highly recommend getting the call trace.

Yes, I had the same problem. What is even crazier is that I attempted to call BANK CARD SERVICES trying to give them the information and they wanted to question me... I explain to them, the fraud unit, they didn't need my info... but simply be aware that folks were calling from the number 305.654.1842 with a caller I.D of Lawrence Sandi ... they said they couldn't follow-up unless I gave my informaiton... I thanked them and wished them well... Life is something to live for... lol

I too got this call. I am pretty sure that if any of you have ever written a check or used a credit card in a casino, this is how they got your information. A little over a year ago I was notified in writing that an employee at a gambling institution had stolen information from a computer. I believe I was told that they were only able to steal the last 4 digits of your c/c or check #. The woman I talked to said the feds were prosecuting this person. Anyway, I think he sold all of everyone's information to several different scammers. Some of you may also get e-mails with various spelling of your name. Don't even bother trying to trace the people because they are all pretty slick. I've also filed a complaint on the government web-site.

I just received a call on my answering machine to call right away to reduce my credit card interest rate. this is the third time that this number has called me 305-654-1842 Sandri Lawrence. I am sure that this is a scam because my credit card company emails me regarding any information

Received phone call at 9:45am with automated message that said to lower interest rate press 1. I pressed 1 & waited a few minutes a a rude young man came on phone & said he could offer me 0% forever off my credit cards. I told him 0% forever is unreal. He then told me "What the hell is the matter with you" I told him him I didn't want his svces & I was on a DO NOT CAll LIST & he yelled at me " I don't care what list your on & WAH WAH WAH " I told him I will find out where he lives and kick his ass. I told him he was a little bastard & he hung up on me. People beware of this scam artist. Senior citizens especially beware since I am one. HE does not know I have connections with undercover police and will have this investigated.

when they called I asked her who are you? and she said we are consumer services we work with Visa, Mastercard and American Express. I said why would you call me when I don't have any of those cards. she hung up on me. instead of trying to steal from hard working people get a job like the rest of us.

Sandri Lawrence showed up on the caller id. Didn't recognize the name or number so I let it go to voice mail. Tried to call back after *67 but the number was disconnected. Other website says its a scam.

An automated message said they were card services and asked if I'd like to lower my interest rate on my credit card to 6.9%. I pressed "1" and "Sylvia" answered the phone. When I inquired which credit card she was calling for, she hung up on me. I called the number back immediately and received a message stating the phone number has been disconnected and is no longer in service.

Caller ID says 1-305-654-1842, Lawrence Sandri. A recording says my credit card is not in trouble, yet, but they can give me a lower rate. A real person came on..I explained I'm on the do not call list, and she said that's fine, and hung up. Called the number back and a recording says it's been disconnected.

Same thing here as all others above. I am thinking next time they call I will give them enough real (not) information to keep them on the line for a while and then let them know the line is being tapped by Jack Bauer who should be showing up at their location anytime now...

Caller ID info is faked. This is about the 4th name I've seen on the number. Caller is a 'Credit Card Refinancer' called Credit Services. Option 1 will give you an operator on a strict script. If you deviate from the script responses to ask for info or demand to be put onto a do-not-call list, or comment that you are ON the gov DNC List, you will be hung up on. If you choose option 2, you will be told that your number has been removed from the list. It will not be. I have gotten 6+ calls from them. File a complaint at donotcall.gov and at ftc.gov to give them trouble.

The guy said the company is called "Consumer Services". The recording at the beginning said something about my credit cards (I don't have any credit cards). When I asked, he said the company was in Topeka, Kansas, even though they have a disconnected Florida number - 305-654-1842. When I asked for the company phone number, he gave me: 323-213-4134. For real. lol

I received a call from this number on 3-21-2008 at 10 a.m. I hung up and decided to "google" the number, and found this site. It's amazing that something cannot be done about these people who are constantly to scam us. This "company" has called me several times and I never did anything about it. But today I reported them to Do Not Call Registry.

The rep asked me several questions to "qualify me" for lower interest rates on my cards. Then he asked me for the customer service number on the back of the card. Then he started asking me for the information that they would use to verify who I am when I call. He asked for the last 4 digits of my social. At this point I hung up.This was a phishing call. Anyone giving them this info would be giving them what they need to steal your identity.

I just got a call from these people (3/20/08 10:30 am)on my cell. They did not leave a message and when I called back, their phone number was disconnected. Probably trying to get personal information for identity theft from the things I've seen posted on this and other websites.

Someone at 305-654-1842 dialed my cell at 9:27 this morning. I didn't answer and they left no message. I'm not going to bother to call them but will see if I can get the number blocked.

When asked about calling accounts on do not call list, claims represents all credit card companies so has authorization to call customer a/c prior business relationship. Based on what I read about this number, Lawrence Sandri is a popular dude or duddes. Glad sme of us are alert to this scam. I wonder, do they make money out of this??

I received a call from 305-654-1842. The caller ID shown Lawrence Sandri. When answered I was greeted by an IVR for Certified Warranty. When I pressed 1 then 0 I was connected to Jessica operator 5548. I asked to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor Terry came on line and I asked for the name of the calling company. She wouldn't provide the name of her company, but I was able to get out of her that they were calling for three companies, Personal voice and the Platinum Group. I stated that the law was that she could not disconnect me before telling me the company they worked for. She said that she would not tell me who her employer was and asked if I was recording the conversation. After a while another lady came on the line and told me that they would not provide the companies name and hung up. When I called the number back, I received a disconnect recording.

This is the second call, by two different numbers in the past two days. Think they are related. Neither one left a message and both had a delay when I answered it.

I keep getting an automated call from Heather at account services. I know it is fraudulent. I wonder how many unsuspecting people fall for this scam. I hang up right away but it is annoying.

Similar to other complaints read here, this was a call stating it was my final notice to lower interest rate on my credit card, they identified as "Credit Card Services" during the computerized first part of call. I pressed #1 and asked which company was calling, since she didn't identify as one of my banks, I filed a complaint at the federal "DoNotCall.gov".

Automated message from "Heather" at credit or card services (or something like that). Pressed 1 to talk to rep. It was a man that would not give any identifying information about himself or the company. Call was cut off after some questioning on my part. This is the second call like this I have received in the last week.

Just got the automated woman who said that even though my credit card account was current, my opportunity to lower my interest rate to "as low as 6%" was ending very soon. I only answered it becuase I thought it was my firend in WV (which is 304... my bad). What good is the Do Not Call list?

Pre-recorded message, Hi, this is Heather, with account services, your credit card bla bla. I've received a dozen calls with that same message, and each one had a fake Caller ID name AND NUMBER. The Caller ID this time showed LAWRENCE SANDII answered, the African American said her name was Sue, and that she worked for Consumer Servies. She said she was in Orlando. A web search came up empty...BIG SURPRISE, RIGHT? This is a serious violation of the Consumer Protection Act and the fine will be humongous if they get caught; fat chance, the feds do not care, my state senators do not care, and my state attorney general does not care. Woe is me.

They called me and I didn't recognize the name or number so I just let voice mail pick it up. There was no message left.

This is definitely a scam. I'm getting the lower interest rate spiel. When I pressed 1 like the automated voice said I got a guy on the phone. I ask why they were calling even though I'm on the do not call list, he said, " if you had a job during the day you wouldnt be bothered by this call". I asked to speak to a supervisor and he laughed and said no. I asked for the company name and his name and he said no. I said that I would report him to the state attorny general and he said they wont do any thing because you don't even know who is calling you. I cursed him up and down and would have rung his neck had we been face to face. I'm going to report this to the do not call registery.

When the representative picked up, I said "What company is this?" and he immediately hung up. I already filed complaints with the FCC, but I'm sure they'll never shut down these miscreants.

Just recieved that phone call saying the insurance on my vehicle is about to expire. I got hold of a representative and said I dont own a call he promptly hung up on me . Called me at 10:30 AM EDT 3/20/08 on my land line. Woman's recorded voice claimed I had won a cruise and asked me to press 9. Am filing a complaint to the FTC. Have been getting a lot of these calls lately. Somebody is in flagrant violation of the Do Not Call Registry. Or, more probably, one of my credit card companies has sold my phone number. I would put nothing past them.

I recieved an automated call from this number last night at 9:07 PM with "nothing is wrong with your account, but it is an urgent matter" by that time I hung up on this crap. This morning I called the number back and it is disconnected. It is amayzing that this imigrants from the East European Countries don't stop at nothing, to scam you out of any thing. The voice was with an English accent and her name was "Heather" - wow sexy...

I received an automated last night at 9:51 PM. It said something about saving interest on your credit card. I couldn't believe I was getting this call so late at night and pressed 1 to tell them about it. She hung up on me.

If you google fake caller ID numbers, there are cards that can be purchased so that a number can be entered other than the callers number. Seems telemarketers and cons are aware of this. Took me a while to figure it out. Any more I will not answer a number I don't recognize. Oregon

I called the TFN listed in someone else's post and an Indian man answered the phone. I told him I wanted information about their offer to reduce my credit card rates and asked him for the company's name. He told me they were MRS Associates in New Jersey. He refused to provide an address, but confirmed the address on mrsassociates.com when I presented it to him. He didn't seem to be too concerned that his employer is blatantly violating federal law by calling people on the Do Not Call list using fake caller ID with disconnected number displayed and playing an illegal pre-recorded message.

A female voice launched into a sales pitch about car warranties, and wanted details about the two cars my family has. I asked who she worked for, she said only that she sells car warranties; I very firmly told her that my number is unlisted and with good reason, and asked where she got the number. Instead of answering, she hung up. Call received 7:30 PM, March 19.

at 7:19 pm on 03/19/08 I received a call from (305)654-1842 and was told I could lower my interest rates on my credit cards and that the offer was about to expire.After pressing 1 to talk to an "associate" I was put on hold for three minutes when a man answered .I asked him which credit card he was with,thinking he was with one of my credit card companies,and was told "any of them".He said he needed the account number from one of my cards that was in good standing so he could verify my interest rates.I asked him to remove my phone number from their calling list,and he asked me what state I lived in.I told him Maryland,and he said "figures ,dumbass northerners " and hung up on me .

This number called me on 3/19 at 730pm. I never answer the phone if I don't know who it is. Lawrence, Sandri was on caller id. I decided to google it and found this website.

Wanted more info on me and I told him if he had my number he should know my name. Glad I found this site to review and report these scammers.

We've been receiving these calls for a VERY long time. I took the usual route: take the "reps" name, and write down the date as I tell them we're on the do not call list. We were hung up on quite a few times just trying to do that. Did get the reps name once and warned that I would report them if I received another call. Pressed the 2 button to be "taken off the list" about 3 times. Today I tried again to talk to a rep. Got her name and let her know I was on the do not call list and that I had already spoken to someone there, may I please speak to a manager. She said to just press 2 the next time I recieved the call. I told her I already did. She made it sound like she was hanging up but she didn't. I had time so I just sat there saying "HELLO" every so often while I did my dishes. It was kind of fun wasting their time for a change...even though I can see here it did nothing to deter them. I had no idea they were connected to the auto warranty call we keep getting too...I thought that might have been real and just didn't care. I will be reporting this to the Attorney General and the do not call list, although I don't know if they can do anything. I think there is definatly something more going on than a pain in the butt telemarketer. I'm wondering if someone like the fbi (?)could bust this?? Will reporting them to the A.G. be enough?

They call me 3 to 4 times a week!

I was instructed to press 1 to talk to a customer service rep about this offer or 2 to be taken off the list. I pressed 2.

well I think its time for the whistle to be blown, I mean literally. Talk vary softly to them, like you want to give them info, keep talking softly than blow a whistle. whistles are amplified over the phone, hopefully some one will get the message on the other end.

I have received this call many times concerning a credit card I don't have nor anyone else in the household. The call says I am in good standing and to press 1 to speak with an agent and 2 if I want to continue to receive these calls. I never get a person. Upon calling the number I get "this number has been disconnect and is not in service, please try 411 or your directory. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

I'm receiving calls like this every day. The number is always different, but it is always from "Credit Card Services". They try to make it sound like it's MY credit card company, but I know it isn't. I have asked them to remove me from their list to no avail. I have started calling them back and giving them what for about calling someone who's on the National Do Not Call Registry. I'm thinking if I do this every time and am really adamant and just plain obnoxious, maybe they'll leave me alone.

i have been receiving calls from this company/organization/credit scammer for well over a year. since 4/07, when i first started logging the calls, i have gotten 13 calls. when i do *69, get the number and call it, the msg says the number has not been issued to anyone or that it is unavailable. the recorded msg that i get is (more of less):
(beginning of msg is cut off) "accounts services . . . your current credit card account . . .no problems currently with the account, it is urgent, however, that you contact us concerning your eligibility to lower your interest rate . . . to as little as 6.9%. Eligibility expires shortly. Please consider this final notice." this "final notice" has been going on for over a year.

Got this call 03-19-08, 1:17 pm, Mountain Time. Automated recording stating that I could lower my credit card interest rate and to press 1 to access a personal assistant. After about 45 seconds, they hung up.

Automated message stating that there was a problem with my credit card account and I needed to press 1 to talk to an operator. I don't have any credit cards. I pressed one and the guy started asking for my CC # so they could lower my interest rate. I asked they guy why they were calling me as I'm on the Do Not Call List. He said that this isn't a telemarketing call as they are working for my CC company. I told him that I don't have any credit cards so it HAS to be a telemarketing call. He got upset with me at this point. Wouldn't tell me the name of the company he works for and then hung up. I tried calling back but they have a bogus recording stating the number is disconnected. These guys should be tarred, feathered, and thrown in prison for life.

i Just got this call 3:52 pm on my cell and i answered it but it still went to voicemail. she siad it was my last warning that my intrest rates would Climb and i don't have any credit cards or loans. any one know how to stop this

We've been getting several calls to renew warranty on autos or We don't answer if it's an unknown number, let it go to the answer machine. They don't leave messages, obvious scam.

So the auto I don't have needs some extended coverage. Just a scam to steal credit card numbers I'm sure. Reported for do not call violation if that does any good.

I've been getting these automated calls for weeks. I usually don't even answer, but we're in the process of moving, so I've been answering unknown numbers, and I got sick of hearing, "Hello, this is Heather." When I pressed one wondering which card I could get lowered, I waited and finally had a women come on the phone. She sounded very unfriendly, and my red flags went up. I said to her "you sound friendly" with a lot of sarcasm. I was promptly hung up on. I called the number back immediately and found it to be "disconnected". I called my phone company and they couldn't tell me any more than I already knew. How could the number be disconnected when I have seen here how many times it was used to call other people??? I agree with call recipients speculating that this is a phishing attempt. I get the "card services" call once every 2-3 weeks, usually from an "unknown" caller. They hang up if you ask which card issuer or to be taken off the call list. Don't give them any information!!

Call recording was seeking to Lower interest rate on a major credit card by pushing number 1, I pushed 1, male answered I ask who they were calling for he said major credit card holder, I ask again, the name whom they were calling for, the male hung up the phone with no futher conversation.

Called my cellphone number saying they had been attempting to contact me about my car warranty but I had not answered. Press 1 to talk to a representative. I pressed 1 and was placed on hold for about 30 seconds. When someone answered they immediately asked for the year, make, and model of the car. I told them "1979 Oldsmobile Delta 88" and they immediatley hung up. They need to pay for my minute of cell time!

I received a precorded message from "Johnathan" that otherwise was like the one reported here by Darell. The number is in North Miami, Fl. That and the type of message suggests that it is from Randall Leshin and his company Express Consolidation or something related to them. They have an extensive history of making such calls.

Called twice, both times a recording this morning, I hung up on them the first time. The second time I pressed 1 after listening to their message about lowering credit card percentage rates. I was connected with a woman who informed me that they were calling for no particular person and were just looking for people with 300 dollars or more in credit cards. I got the usual automated menu and pressed 1 to speak with an individual. I asked the name of the company and the lady said "WAC Warranty", I then asked for an address of the company, to which she replied she didn't have that information. I persisted in trying to find out a phone number. She said that the Warranty administrator (I can't remember who she said) had that information. I asked to speak with that person and she said that she would have to process me to speak with that individual. I asked her why I would commit to anything if she didn't have that information and that I was tired of the calls and asking to be taken off the list never seems to help. She hung up.

I got a call on my cell phone this morning from this number. The message said it had an important message for me from my credit card company. then it said that my account was ok, but that there was a special offer to lower my interest rate. I pressed one as instructed and got someone who said she "worked for all the credit card companies" ... I reamed her out and told her not only did she disturb me at work, I was afraid something was wrong with my account, and on top of it all called my cell number WHICH I PAY FOR. she asked for my number and said she would put me on the "do not call"list ... hellllooo???? I thought I was already on one of those! Scammers abound. It's so scary!

I got consecutive calls on my home and business lines (3/19/08 - 9:37 a.m. CST)from the number 305-654-1842 with the CID displaying Sandri Lawrence. They are actively spoofing the caller ID as the number in the CID has been disconnected. This requires more a little more sophistication than blocking the CID altogether in which case the CID will generally show "Private," "Unknown," or "Blocked." Stay vigilant, the bad guys are trying ever harder to separate you from your money.

I received a call late in the evening. I didn't answer, and just thought I would search for the name. I have been receiving several phone calls from Florida in the last few weeks. I believe this is the first one with "Sandri Lawrence" on the caller id. I assume all are from the same company. I have not answered any so no input as to what company any were associated with.

I answered the call, got the automated message about my car warranty expiring. I pressed 1 to talk to a representative, who asked me the make and model of my car. I said, "I don't have a car. So obviously I'm confused about what you mean by my car warranty." AFter about ten seconds of silence I said "hello?" expenctantly, and the man hung up.

I have received several calls from basically the same location and people (different numbers). I have not answered any of the calls and the caller never leaves a message. My thought is that if you really want to talk to me, then you will leave a message on my answering machine. I have already placed my name on the DO NOT CALL list several times!!

I'm pretty sure this is some kind of scam because they claimed they were calling from my credit card company and they were trying to offer me reduced interest rates. Of course they needed my card information first. The really weird thing is that I don't have any credit cards, so there is no way that a credit card company of any kind has my phone number.

At 2:39 PM PDT, I received a ficticious telephone call from 305-654-1842 posing as my credit card lender. It was an automated call complete with a touchtone menu. The name that appeared on my caller ID is Lawrence Sandri. I disconnected from the call before providing any information but when I dialed 305-654-1842, an automated voice told me that number had been disconnected.

I also got a call from a company claiming to hold my auto warranty and it is about to expire (which is complete BS). When I tried to transfer to a live person the call was dropped. I called the number back and a message came on telling me it was disconnected. This is most likely a scam, and the "disconnected" message was a fake. I am going to report this as well to the FCC.

The person at that number tried to call me and I was unavailable. So I searched the number in google and found this site-I called the number back and it had been disconnected. They called me at 2:47 and by 3:25 it was disconnected?! Scammers phishing for my info I'm sure; they've called my house under a different number to tell me my credit card was reaching it's limit-when I asked which one, she couldnt answer me and hung up. Caught! I hate these people and hate them even more when they interrupt my day and my job!

Something that if i wanted to take advantage of lower interest rates, i need to respond because the offer is running out. I was instructed to press 1 to take advantage of this offer. I did and I was routed directly to a southern sounding lady. She said "do you want to lower your interest rate?", I said yeah right, I want you to take me off your call list. She said whats your phone number, I gave it to her and she hung up on me.

This number showed up on my caller ID so I did not answer; they left no message. I'll report the number to the Do Not Call registry. Call received a little after 1 PM PDT on Tuesday, March 18, 2008.

When I called this number back to see who had called me I got a recorded message saying the number has been disconnected. This call came in on my cell number - I did not answer but decided to google the name and after reading the info on this site I decided to call the number and see what I get. I got my call at 2:50 CST...seems like they are going down a listing of nubmers trying to scam someone.

I just got a call from this number on my cell. 03/18/08 2:45 pm. I did not answer it.
Just yesterday I was on this website looking at another number that a coworker warned me about. (different #)
I posted it's probably "phishers". I don't answer this kind of crap, and I am not vunerable. Folks are trying harder and harder to scam you.

I received a call 3/18/08 at 3 pm, the name comes up on my caller ID as Sandri Lawrence. It was a recorded message telling me that I could lower interest rates on my credit card account--but didn't say the name of a credit card company. I pressed 1 to find out more, thinking it was a scam. After being on hold for about 45 seconds a woman answered. She would only tell me that the company was "Card Services" and that she was in Ireland. I asked for a phone number and address for "Card Services" and she said F*** and hung up.

They call me and when I answer its something about "Your automobile warranty has or is going to expire. Please don't be caught driving without this important coverage. Press 1 to be connected to a customer service representative or 2 to disconnect." When I press 1 and ask the person I get to speak to their supervisor, they hang up. I advise this is a scam and the number should be blocked. I'm currently reporting it to the FTA office here in Atlanta.
