- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:

Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Last chance offer to extend car warranty. They call at least once a week. When I have held for a human & begin to ask to be deleted from call list, they hang up. Taped message offers opt out option if you press 2; this doesn't work.
Scam Artist on the caller ID
someone got these peoples number
it acually came across the phone as "scam artist" 305-474-9429
Enjoyed seeing "Scam Artist" on the caller ID. Probably the only honest thing about the call. (Reported to to the do not call list.)
Our caller ID also read "Scam Artist"
Gotta love when the phone driectory throws 'em under the bus like that!
# on search engine is not connected to my credit card companies
according to a reverse lookup directory the # belongs to a Miichael
Ambrrosia @ 18650 NW 27TH AVE, Miami Gardens Fl it is a South Central Bell
number.
Caller ID did indeed say SCAM ARTIST, I lol'd.
My phone rang at 9:31 this morning, and when I looked at caller ID, I laughed! It actually said "SCAM ARTIST"! So maybe one of you DID call the FTC and they changed his caller ID name to that. I love it! I didn't answer, and there was no message left.
They keep calling . . . several times a day . . . the message is always the same . . . this is the last chance to extend the warranty on your vehicle . . . if only we owned a vehicle that actually had a warranty!
According to White Pages, this number belongs to Michael Ambrosie, 18650 NW 27 Avenue, Miami Gardens, FL 33056.
Claim to be calling about my credit card, but made no identification of the company/what card/ issuing institution. They are also calling others in this area, so obviously phising...
If you ask them what the name of their company is, they usually hang up...:-). They once gave us this number to call if we wanted to get off their list: 973-409-3277.
Receiving calls with recorded message to lower credit card interest rate or vehicle warranty expiring. Message states this is your last chance and to press 1 to speak to a rep or press 2 and you will be removed from the list. Ignoring the calls, hanging up, or pressing 2 doesn't stop the calls. Press 1 and speak to a rep and ask the name of the company they are working/calling for and they hangup. *Still receiving the calls from this and these other #'s 561-784-9844, 386-427-6893, 305-474-9429.

This is a credit scam. They claim they have been trying to reach you and this is your last chance to lower your interest rate.
They don't leave a message, but it is very annoying. When I called this number back just to see who was calling from Florida, it says that the number has been disconnected,Rieky
received call at 1:46 PM Central Standard Time (DFW area/Texas). Didn't answer. I am on the Do Not Call list though
I kept getting phone calls today from unknown caller so I decided to pick it up. The message said the same thing that there was an issue with the credit card payment and to press 1 for more information. The guy on the line said that he was calling in behalf of Visa/Master Card and was going to help me lower my interest rate. I asked him how. He said that they would collect information from me and then contact the companies while I was on the phone with him. I asked him how he got the number and he said that he got it from Eqifax. I said so what is my name. He said that they did not allow him to have that information. I told him to stop calling and that if I really wanted my interest rates lowered I would call the credit cards and creditors directly and then hung up. I am going to call the Federal Trade Commission as indicated below.
I get a call from this number everyday. Have no idea who it is, when I hold and press 1 ot talk to an assistant, they hang up

I do not know this person.
Company lead me to belive there was and issue with my credit card. When I pressed 1 to talk to someone as directed the person I talked to said they were with Master Card and Visa and the company name was account services. When I asked for more details of who he hung up. Used *69 to id.
More endless ROBOCALLS from FLA! (this time from: Michael Ambrosie at 18650 NW 27th Ave Miami Gardens, FL 33056-3176)
This was the same old "your credit card rates will go up/last chance to lower your rates" recorded message that has been harrassing me for months now.
During the previous calls from this message - I've tried pressing the # to be removed from the list. I've also tried pressing the # to talk to someone to see if I could get info. They wouldn't give a company name and when I asked which credit card company they worked for, they said "all of them". When I told them my cell was on DONOTCALL for years, they hung up on me! (& obviously STILL call!)
This time I missed the call, so I tried calling back the # it was of course disconnected.
I've filed the usual DONOTCALL complaint. I've tried contacting the FL Attorney General's office & they keep referring me to: 800helpfla.com so I've filed there as well.
And I contacted the Miami Garden's PD: miamigardenspolice.org
I'm going to drive over there and kick some ass.....

Hopefully somebody knows how to shut them down
They asked me to press "1" to lower my credit card interest rates. When I did, a man came on and said that they could help lower my rates on all of my visa, mastercard, and amex accounts - since all of those accounts are owned by various banks, figured it was a scam. I asked who this was and they said Account Services. I hung up as not interested before they could hang up.
Called twice in the last two days. It is Card Services. These people have been harrassing me with continual calls for months. When I tell them that I am on the DNC list, they curse and scream at me and tell me that they can call if they want to. I did some research on them and they charge your credit card $599.00 to $999.00 if you give them your credit card number. In most cases, the interest rate is not lowered. It is a scam and they have been in trouble in the past, but were not stopped from continuing to harrass people. We need to all demand justice from the FTC. This is not the only number they call from, but it is the same company. These people should be in prison.
I did Star 69 and the voiceover operator said something along the lines of, "the caller is disconnected." So, whoever this party is, it must make these calls and then frequently disconnect to not get caught.
Do not hang up on them! Press option #1 like I wish to speak to them and just leave the phone off the hook. When they pick up, I'm not there and now I waste their time. Or even better, give the phone to your 4 year old to talk to them.
Calls every single week!!! As I politely start to ask them to remove me from their calling list, they immediately hang up on me and call again next week!!!!
Since they still call me, now I just press option #1 like I wish to speak to them and just leave the phone off the hook. When they pick up, I'm not there and now I waste their time.
called # back 5 mins later and it said # has been disconnected.
My phone has been listed on Do Not Call Registry. I receive a lot of calls from telemarketers and this number is one of them. I press "1" and scream as loud as I can when a representative replies. This is my revenge.
I did not pick up the receiver... as I did not recognize the number. If this is indeed "Account Services"... then they are just using different numbers... as I have received their calls before. It is all unsolicited SPAM... and from my previous account... it is DEFINITELY a PHISHING operation... do NOT give them any information... and HANG UP. I am on the national Do-Not-Call list... and they still violate that. Call & Write your representative in Congress... and your state's Attorney General to take further action!!!
I don't have caller ID and answered the call. Similar message to Capital One letter recently received so I "pressed 1 to lower my interest rate." Spoke with a gentleman who was very smooth. Asked if it was related to Capital One and he indicated he was with the account services that served all major credit card companies, and were contacting cardholders to reduce their interest rates. I gave him my "1-800 customer service phone number" for my credit card to get a representative on the line so I could give my credit card number directly to the customer service rep. As soon as the customer service rep came on the line, I asked the representative if he'd heard of "Account Services" providing this services and he said no, and advised me not to give out the number with a 3rd party on the line but to call back directly to US Bank (thanks, Todd, from US Bank for confirming my suspicions). After hanging up, I tried to call the number but was still connected to Account Services! So I hung up and went to FCC site to report, since I'm on the DO NOT CALL list.
This seems to be an identity/info fishing scam. It says "this is the last call you will receive regarding your credit card rate reduction/you be no longer be able to reduce the rate on your credit card unless you press one now." I pressed one, a man answered : "how may I service your account, today?" I said what account are you referring to? And he then said "Uh, How may I service your...etc", repeating himself. I then said "what company do you work for? and he again, repeated the initial line. I said what are you on the phone for if you won't answer my question? He got a bit thrown off by that and said "for fun I guess..." and hung up. He was rude and the whole episode was strange. The calls come to my work number as well as home. Never did the guy mention an actual credit card company.
I did not answer and they left no message. Reverse phone search shows Michael Ambrosie 18650 NW 27th Ave Miami Gardens, FL 33056-3176
Also receiving same automated message from 850-432-3928 and 954-755-8151. "Press 1 to speak to rep, Press "2" to be taken off call list. (Neither works.) All you can get is the name "Card Services" from whomever picks up if you press 1. Recording is about lowering your credit card interest. Best advice on posts for all of these phone numbers is to report to FTC and National Do Not Call List.
I received a call from this number 12-29-08. The caller hung up and when I called back a message said the phone is disconnected. I am not sure the reason behind chose to call my number???
No message was left, called number back, not in service.
We get so many junk phone calls that we don't answer the phone anymore without screening the calls. This one was a hang-up. When we did a *66 we got the number 305-474-9429. Have no idea who these people are! The Do Not Call list is a big joke. We get more calls now than ever and are tired of filing complaints with the FTC (Forget The Calls)...

There are hundreds of these companies and theY harass all of us on a regular basis. The Do Not Call list is bogus. Any government agency telling you, "We need more complaints before we can do anything", is absolute total BS. Nothing ever gets done. As I've posted elsewhere......CALL YOUR ELECTED OFFICIAL'S OFFICE REPEATEDLY. THAT'S WHAT YOU PAY TAXES FOR. CALL THEM NOW!!!!!!
boy, these companies work fast! brand new phone number less than 24 hours old & already getting scam calls. didn't answer it since i don't know anyone opa locka florida but when answering machine picked up, the caller didn't say anything & after a pause, they hung up.

Recorded message saying it is my final notice to lower my interest rate. After being bothered by this numerous times already (while number is on the do-not-call list), I decided to press 1, as instructed, to speak with customer service rep. The line rang 20 times with no answer. VERY annoying!!!
When I answered there was a taped message about lower interst rates. It said press 1 to talk to a representiative or 2 to no longer be qualified for lower rates. I pressed one, and they said the company name was Account Services and they were working with MasterCard and Visa to lower rates for customers whose rates were above 10%. When I said I do not have an outstanding balance, they hung up on me.
I keep receiving calls from this number and like others it is about my credit card interest. I always hang up as I have heard that if you press the number they tell you to or give them any info they bilk your credit card of all they can get off of it. Also if this number is listed to a real person they are probably ready to strangle someone from all the calls. I have heard that scammers can get a machine to connect to their phone that makes the phone call look like it is coming from somewhere other than where it is actually comming from. Please people be careful and just hang up. I want to report this somewhere. I have also heard that after the first of the year we will have to buy some sort of box that connects to the telephone line to stop scammers from getting through. Looks like as high as the phone bill is they would stop it all for no charge!!!

I told the Person my Number was on the DO NOT CALL LIST and She Said I WAS A MOTHER FUCKING RED NECK and Hung up
This is the third call I have received in the last 3 weeks from this number. It is "an emergency" call indicating I must reply as my credit is in danger. I press 1 to speak with a representative who asks, "Are you interested in lowering your interest rates?" My reply is remove me from your list. The first 2 times they hung up immediately. The third time I spoke with them, I told them to not hang up and remove this number. No reply just an immediate hang up. How do I block this number?

This call came from Florida to Kansas at 10:25am on 11-12-08. Call not answered and no message left. Other sites report this is a credit card "give you the best rate" scam.
When I answered the phone, it was a recorded message regarding a credit card alert. We seem to get these calls every other day. We are on the do not call list and should not get these. They do not ask for a particular person (i.e., an account holder), so I'm pretty sure it's a scam. Is there any way of stopping these calls?
We receive 5 - 10 calls per month from this "credit card alert" company. Suggest that you never press "1", etc. Just hang up on the recording!!! This has to be a major scam and with today's technology you could be at some risk just by doing so.
Message gave the option of dialing 1 to reduce credit card rates, or 2 to refuse forever. The credit card companies can lower their rates anytime they wish and hardly need my permission to do so. ;-) Sounds like a phishing scam.
Just got a call from this number. I did report to the FTC, and the guy took down all my info, but he also asked for my SS#, which of course I didn't give him.
The caller said he was calling to lower the interest on my credit cards. He said that he had talked with my bank and that they gave him my name and telephone number. When I challenged him that he was phising, he got very hostile. I told him I would report him, he told me there was nothing anyone could do. He just wouldn't let it go, so I hung up. I didn't have quite the experience of "Wise Consumer" since I did not give them any credit card numbers. They were very abusive and demeaning.
This sounds like a scam. They asked me for my credit card number so they could lower my interest rate. They seemed only interested in a master card or a visa. First they wanted me to give them the customer service number to the visa. When I did, they knew it by heart and recited it along with me saying they knew the number by heart because they were talking to customers all day. They make you think it is legit because you hear talking in the background of other operators. HANG UP AND DON'T GIVE ANY INFORMATION. When I called the number on caller id, it says it is disconnected.
Automated systems mentioned it is a insurance/credit consolidation company. I stayed on line to speak to someone and explained I was on the do not call list and to please take my name off the list. The girl answering just slammed the phone down.
I tried calling it back, line says disconnected.
I called operator asstance and was told to call the Federal Trade Comm. office 877-382-4357 &
my State Attorney Generals office (this is the one for Iowa)515-281-5164
I did call Federal Trade Comm. office, they took my information and gave me a referance number so if I should learn the company name I can call back to add information to the complant. They also said they will need other people to call them to make a case because they need several complains about this before they start an investigation. They asked if this could be a debt collection company. I know for sure it is not a debt collection company.
I called the Iowa Attorney Generals office and was told they do NOT handle such cases and said all such complains have to go to the Federal Trade Comm. office only.
Please make sure you call the Federal Trade Comm. office 877-382-4357 to file a complaint so they can START an investigation.
I did not answer and they didn't leave a message.
they call me several time a day and when i ask to talk to a supervisor or who they are with - they hang up! every time!!!!!
