Who Called Us

I reported them today to the Do Not call registry. There were 6 Voicemails left with the exact same recording.
Three times I used the "2"option to no avail, then using the "1" option I got a live person who hung up on me after I inquiered about a call back number, name and asked to speak to a supervisor.
I have no idea what this outfit is up to but it is annoying as can be.

Called BBB and asked for info on this number and several others with area code 305. They are all listed to a Rene Rivero.

Didn't answer, no message

No message. Just on caller ID as Rene Rivero.

Report them to the FCC at donotcall.gov they need to pay a few $10,000 fines to learn about ethical practice!

I got the same call from a Rene Rivero from a Miami-Dade area code, and seems a to bit triful and from annoying tele-market personnel. My suggestion is don't answer.

Got the same Rivero Rene and number on Call ID. Now I'm getting Anonymous and I suspect it is more of the same. I answered but told them I don't accept Anonymous calls and they said "what are you affraid of" and kept trying to get me. I had a little fun with them, won't go into the details of that!

I should have mentioned that everyone should expect this kind of calling to increase until IP phones are regulated, or the providers start upgrading their security!

Received several calls from this number. It's probably a group using IP phones and spoofing the return numbers. Phishing scam! I pressed 1 and when asked for a card number I said wait a minute while I get it and put them on hold. They hate it when you keep them on the line and don't come back - they could be talking to someone else stupid enough to give them acount numbers...

I've gotten calls from this number several times. Yesterday I got mad and told them I knew it was a scam and that I had reported them. I turned their name and number over to the "Donotcall"

answered it and no one was on the line.

This is the second call from this number in the past week. No message left.

called me today, 7/16, no message. funny, cuz my BF just divorced a woman name renee and thot it was her!

Wow. They just called me again. I didn't answer and I googled the name. I can't believe that they call so many people.

Message on recorder said "this is Jonathan with Consumer Services" re:my current credit card account. Stated there is no problem with accounts at this time, but "urgent" to contact us about eligibility to lower interest rates - eligibility "expires shortly" and consider this the "final notice". (I WISH!) Left the press 1 or 2 options.

They left a recorded message: "This is your last chance. Press 1 to speak to an operator. Press 2 to be removed."

I recieved this call on my business phone. Caller ID said Rene Rivero. Reported to the national do not call registry. This line is on do not call.
I called the number back and the message said it was a working line but not able to receive incoming calls, please try your call again later.

It had an annoying recording, when I called it back it said the number was disconnected, funny since they had just called two seconds earlier

Rene Rivero keeps showing up on my caller id but I haven't been around to answer any of the calls. I think when I get a phone call from them I'll say "Do you know about Jesus? I would like to talk to you about your relationship with Jesus today." I know they'll take me off their list if I say that:)

Calling about a credit card which he could not identify.
At this point i just hung up.

I looked at caller ID as phone rang. Being a Florida #, I answered as I do business in Fl. A recorded male voice stated some mish mosh about credit. I held on to give a live person a wipping by mouth, and be on my way. (we all have that rage liking to be released) The this unaware young female asks, “Do you have two thousand dollars in credit card debt”? Politely in a civil tone I said, “Could you hold just a moment, my wife is about to swallow and don’t want to choke her”! Line disconnected! I am a very civil person, but just how damn dumb do they think we are? They deserve anything said to them by phone. So I ask you all to VENT! Be creative when this happens saying the cruelest things. I know, its not very nice. But if someone is trying to take the money I have worked so hard for, fraudulently, they deserve every bad word in the dictionary.

I called the number 305 228 3727 that was on my caller id and it was disconected

I pushed one to speak with a rep to see who and what this was. One other option was 2, to be removed. Don’t know if it would have asked for more info. When speaking to a living person, she came on by saying, “Do you have at least $2000.00 in credit card…”, and then I stopped her by saying, “Do you people really think the public is this stupid”? She hung up!

On answering machine "lower your rates, press 1, etc....". I'm on the do not call list, so I reported it.

Rec'd call around 1pm. Got the recorded msg from Jonathan at Consumer Services about lowering my credit card int. rates; pressed 1 and spoke with a very nice person called "Sheba", who needed to verify my "eligibility". Eventually asked for my credit card number -- I didn't give. Identity theft attempt with spoof phone number. Have filed complaint with FTC and put alert with Credit Bureaus.
This is scary. Wish they could be stopped. Please file complaint with FTC so maybe they'll act on this if get enough complaints. Go to consumer.gov

Same thing for me, but I looked Rene Rivero up in yahoo's yellow pages and put the in the name and telephone number and got an address. Couldn't we put together a class action suit against this person or file a complaint and have them arrested since we know where the calls are coming from?

I receive 4 - 5 calls a day from this and an associated number. They never leave a message. I answered a call in the very beginning and was told I owed $80 to a credit card company that I had severed relationship with many months before and have never received a statement from since severing. The party requested I remit the money owed thru pay pal. I declined. I was told I would receive a statement from the company within a few days. Of course, that never happened. And the calls keep coming.....

How can I make these calls stop. It has been going on for months. I never answer because it is unavailable, but they sometimes press keys to mess with my answering machine and other times they sit there and make sounds then hang up. I am so tired of these calls.

Someone with this number repeatedly calls my number, but never leaves a message. When I see the number on my caller ID, I blow real loud with a whistle that I keep by the phone for annoying calls. Whoever is calling quickly hangs up!!

My 12 year old son answered the phone, there was a live person on the other end ansking hi to give his dad or mom the phone, when my son asked if he call tell them who is calling, they were really rudeand made threats to him about me and my husband and how they knew or cell phone humbers and it was in regards to our credit card. My son then hung the phone up on them. I called the number back and it said it was disconneted but I have an address attached to the phone number of 3905 SW 119th Ave Miami, FL 33175 in the name of Rene Rivero. Is this person even alive??

I got this automated message claiming to be from "your credit card company" and to press 1 for a lower interest rate. I pressed 1, was asked to verify my name and phone number and was told they could lower the rate on all my cards if I gave them the credit card numbers to verify my debt. (I didn't) I called the caller ID number and also got a disconnected message.

I've been receiving the same automated messages regarding lowering my cc interest rates. I pressed "2" once to be taken off the list, but they continued to call. So the next time I pressed "1" to speak with an operator. I started to complain and tell her to take me off the list, but she hung up on me. Also tried to call the number back, but got a message saying the number has been disconnected. I think from now on I'll answer and blow a whistle in their ear as loud as I can...

Can't call this number back because it if a spoofed number - which is against the law according to the Truth in Caller I.D. Act 2007. Need to report this to the Florida Attorney General.

You guys may want to get a phone service like Vonage. I had a horrible time with telemarketers/bogus calls when I had a land line. Now that I've switched, my number is listed nowhere and I get no telemarketing calls. I'm not even on the Do Not Call list.

Received a call @ verifiying credit account, nothing wrong but verify, press 1 to continue, press 2 to remove. I am afraid it was a scam and now my number will be hi-jacked for foreign long distance calls. Call back to number said it was disconnected. I did a nusance trace on the number and will follow-up with phone company. Also called local TV station to report as they had a similary report on a few weeks ago; they want to follow-up.

Call came in on my home phone. Message left about last chance to get these rates and to press 1 to speak to an operator and 2 to be removed. I wasn't home when the call came in. I have no idea who Rene Rivero is and certainly wouldn't deal with someone in FL when I live in CO!

When asked, all they would say is that it is "account services" calling to see if you can qualify for lower interest rates on your credit card.

Obviously spoofing the caller id, this is a telemarketing firm that is violating the federal do-not-call list.

My 85 year old mother is getting calls from this number about her "credit card" balance. They told her she could lower her interest rate, but couldn't tell her which card. They threatened that she could "go to jail" if she couldn't pay her bill.....

Its a scam. I told the girl that I was on the DNC list and it was illegal for her to call me unless we had done business in the past. I ask her the name of the company and she said she could take me off the call list. I told her I don't care if I am on her list, I want to know her company name. She hung up on me.

WOW.. got susupicious of my husband :0 and another woman so tried to track down area code on the net and found this site! Glad he is not cheating (okay, well, I don't know that for sure) and certainly glad to know it is a scam and I seem to be amongst good company!

I missed the call, no message. I dialed the number. I received a message saying it was a "working number" but that it was experiencing difficulties. Odd, as I called them back less than 5 minutes from the time they called me.

If this is a telemarketer, I find it highly annoying as I am on the do-not-call list.

Reporting them is useless, they spoof the caller ID to appear as a # thats not even in service. there is no way for them to be tracked down unless you have the FBI in your living room tracing the call when it happens.

These scammers called my home, too, but I gave them no information. But, oddly enough, a suspicious charge appeared on my CC. Fortunately, my CC co. had the foresight to put the account on hold and notified me.

This is an ongoing CC scam.

The perps have been spoofing numbers in FLoria. They try to pass themselves off as a CC rep but aren't able to tell you which card they're calling about and expect you to give them all your info.

Which they then abuse.

Local law enforcement and the AG office says there is nothing they can do as the numbers are spoofed and they have no real way of tracking down these dirt bags.
