How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Been getting calls from this number for 2 weeks now daily including today, 10/22/08. Same as okwes, you answer and no one is there. I've been told when that happens, it is because they are auto-dialing and on another line. But if you wait, an operator comes on with that automated message, you must hang up and try your number again. Shucks, I'm not the one calling. So it looks like it's an organization wanting money then. I should have known.
Caller said he was with a charity fundraising effort.
Just looked up Paetec communications in google search. They are a broadband service provider to business and institutions. calls are therefore not from them, but actually from some customer. No way to do reverse lookup, unless you want to spend $15 on Intellius, which pops up as the service provider on a number of reverse lookup sites.
calls daily ad different times. no message. Reverse lookup search in superpages said it line holder is unknown. Service provider is Paetec Communications. I suspect they are the line holder, as well. Don't know abything about them.
Been getting calls from this number and they just hang up when I answer. Wish I could STOP these types of calls!

Charity Fundraiser
From what I have heard it is some company's auto dialer calling to see when people are home. if you answer than it means you are home meaning you are available for future marketing calls
just got another! calls every day, at all hours.
We received this call around 6:45 PM July 15th. We didn't anwswer, so we aren't sure who it was. It looks like it's been targeting mostly people in Northeast Delaware. Maybe it's an auto-dialer.
Same here... never leaves a message. I answered it yesterday and they hung up so I called the number back. After a lot of rings an answering system came on and it was some type of charity message.

I think it is a medical collection company in New Castle DE.
Unknown name on caller ID. Picked up; no one there.
got a call from this for the past week. never leaves a message, and when we call back, no one picks up, not even a mailbox.
