I got a call from this number today at 2:25pm. Two other numbers as well: (301) 392-8208 and (301) 392-8105

I have been getting a call from this number twice sometimes 3 or 4 a day/night for about 2 months now. =(

I have only gotten one call, but I did not reconize the number.

I just recieved a call from this number at 7:40 AM. I told the man on the phone to remove my name from his list, and he started yelling "WHY WHY" Isn't there anything we can do to stop these people? Are we as consumers powerless against this??? I don't think so... Someone tell me what we can do, and we will do it...Call me at 7:40 in the morning...

I got a call from this number again today. It never leaves a message and hangs up as soonas i pick up. I want it ti quit!!!

I received calls from this number atleast for the last couple of months. A man in foriegn accent informing me of sending a free CD on how to obtaing govt. grants and tried to get my CC# or my account information. He got agitated and hung up on me when I refused to give him information and rather wanted his name and address so that I can mail $3.99 in cash or send a money order to cover for shipping.

I've received a couple calls from this number but never answered it. I just got one today at 2:50 on 10-2-06. The number 301-392-8230 is what came up on my caller id.

I have gotten this call every night for about a month and a half now.

On the other blog, the company was using a California area code while the business was in Texas. Could be the case here also.

I got a call from this number for the first time this morning. Since there was no message, I did a google search and found this site. My zip code is 55418.

THEY SAY THERE CALLING FOR E BAY, SO I CALLED E BAY AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS NOT ONE OF THERE NUMBERS AND THEY ARE GOING TO LOOK INTO IT. I CALLED VERIZON IN MD, BECAUSE THEY ARE THE PHONE PROVIDERS FOR THIS NUMBER, AND THEY SAID THEY CANT DO ANYTHING WITH OUT A COURT ORDER, I HAVE TRIED TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB. BUT WITHOUT AN ADDRESS I CANT, SO I WENT AND FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE AT IC3.GOV WHICH IS A SITE TO HELP IN THESE KIND OF SITUATIONS, I WOULD ASK THAT EVER ONE THAT IS GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER TO REPORT THEM SO WE CAN GET THEM TO STOP.

I have gotten several calls from this number 3013928230. They just sit on the voice mail for 30 seconds wihtout even leaving a message You can here 'cafeteria-like' noise in the background but they never say a word. I am really getting irritated with this.What can we do to get this stopped. Right now I just dont answer but this is my office phone. I just want it stopped. I called my phone company about these calls today and the lady told me the calls are coming from a Verizon phone. I'm calling them tomorrow and requesting they shut off this person's phone.

A non us woman answered the phone saying her name was Daffiney. Wanted my debit card # for grant.
So I hung up. Then she called again so I said no and hung up again. When I back tracked them I couldn't find anything.

They call my cell once or twice a week .first time someone said "(my name)?"I said yes.?.then heard arabic in background..laughter hung up..second time "(my name)?"(arabic voice) I said yes what do you want?"the government gave me your info that you were submitting a grant..I'm calling to tell you you're in pre approval..blah blah blah.."I told her I didnt apply stop calling me.."she said but the govt told us to call you.." I hung up..now I ignore the calls..Wish I could block them..

This number has called me repeatedly and WILL NOT STOP! They call at 8 am 9 am and 12 pm. They called a few weeks ago like 2 times and then it stopped for a while. Now they have called the last 3 days in a row! 9/20, 9/21 and 9/22! Never once have they left a message. These assholes keep calling me too. I will murder them and eat their babies if it continues much longer.

I told them I dont have a credit card and they still keep calling.
They wont take a money order and will only accept a credit card. That makes me think it is a credit card scam.
It was about a grant writting packet.
But, I dont trust them anymore since they are so insistant on getting a credit card.
No legit company operates like that.

I have been gettin calls from this number for a while...probably a month now, but b/c they are calling my cell I never answer. They are the reason I have registered all of my telephone #'s on the Federal Do Not Call List. They call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. repeatedly!!! How can we make this STOP?

I recieve numerous calls daily from this number. I never answer unrecognized calls, b/c I believe if it's important, a message will be left & I will call back. From this # there is never a message. After reading a few comments on this page, I called it, & a recording asked me to dial in the mailbox number I wished to speak to. Naturally I hung up. I merely wanted to see if I got the same message as the others. I had no number to dial anyway since no message was ever left! "They" have been calling me for weeks, & as I said many times a day. The timing varies, but has been as early as 8 AM, & as late as 10 PM, perhaps later.

They called Sept 19, 2006 at 8:23 p.m. out of Maryland.

I recvd a call from ph# 301-392-8230. The person on the other end sounded like a computer voice. What ws weird they askd for me by my full name. Of course I didn't give that info. I asked who they are, they stated I filled out an online grant for apartments & they std they are calling from Gothem/Gothlem ??? They weren't too clear. I told them I am on an important business call & I request their Co. name & number & I would call them back. The person said sure sure sure repeatdly like a broken record & hung up on me. I did a search on that number. It is a verizon number & based out of MD. Be careful. Apparently this is a scam...They did try to get my info. FYI :

If you try to call the number back, a voice mail comes on and says the number is unavaiable. Who are these people and what do they want?

I ahve been receiving calls from this number for the past month, I work night shift so I am always sleeping during the day when they call, no messages have been left. they have called at least 10 times in the past month (Aug-Sept 2006)and won't stop calling. this # 301-392-8230 is from a place that does government grants, a cd you can get absolutly free all you got to do is give them your debid or credit card # for the shipping. do not do this and check out their website. gsassistant.com . they are crooks.

I just did a search online in intellius and found the number belongs to a Verizon, Inc co., in Charles County MD..

There calling my cell & office leaving no messages. However when calling the number back I get a pre-recorded message. How do get them from continuing to call?

They have called me three times this week. Twice on Monday at 4:22 and at 9:30
and today at 3:33 in the afternoon.

Also, I noticed the first comment was posted on 08/21/06, which was the first date they started calling my # at 830 PM (pacific time)

Been getting this call almost nightly M-F calling around 830 PM, never a message left. The comments from others here suggest it is some kind of telemarketing for "grantwriting"? but I never solicited for any such info.

It is very irritating and they never leave a message or anything. I also called that number back and heard "this extension is not available"! This is ridiculous!!!

I got a call from these ppl this morning. Then again in the afternoon. both times i picked up, but the first time they didn't say anything. Second time, they got so far as to ask me why i was laughing about the call. Claiming it wasn't funny, blah blah blah.
Did a search on my niffty Area code finder and found that the number was coming from the Silver Spring/Washington D.C. suburbs/Frederick, MD area. Hope it helps.

This company had started to call about 2 or 3 weeks ago and my wife had answered the phone. I did sign up for a grant for my business about 4 months ago but not through this company. Since my wife (not knowing who they were) verified I live here they have kept calling since. They would not tell my wife who they were or what they wanted. I found this site and found out from ya'll who they were. Now they call about 2 or 3 times a day, the latest call coming around 9:45 P.M.

I first got a call from this number on Labor Day around noon. I missed the call but knew it couldn't be anyone or anything important since they called on Labor Day of all days. I tried to call back and got some pre-recorded message that i see everyone else got as well. They continue to call me twice or three times daily since. I answered once and a woman went on to tell me about a government grant, etc. I hung up on her seeing as there is no way she could be serious since they initially called me on Labor Day. No one who is serious calls you on a holiday.

There are a lot of people on this. these idiots hsould get a different number.

This company called be today at 1:27 pm. This number has called me before on 8/28/2006 but in the evening. It just showed the number no name.

The number is a follow up call from filling out information from a junk email about govt. grants you might be qualified for that you or someone from your residence filled out. That's how they obtained your number and all they want is for you to pay the shipping, like 4.99 or so, for a CD giving you all the information about free grants you might be eligible for from the govt.
It's not a scam, more of a follow up telemarketing call. But they sure are persistant arent'they?? lol:)

Well, I finally answered the call and an asian speaking female pretended to be calling on behalf of the Federal Government re:my request for Grant information. I listened to her speal only to discover that she was working for a company that employed professional grant writers.

I did not let them get far enough to ask for my cc number. But, if you have, the address to file a fraud complaint with the FBI is "complaint.ic3.gov." They get a LOT of complaints so don't expect a personal reply

I continually get calls from this number on my cell phone stating that I recently applied for a government grant and wanted to know what type of grant I was looking for. I'm sure that the next question would have been what is your SS#. I think it is worth a class action law suit against this fraudulant organization.

This number was identified as "STORESONLINE" when they called at 3:50pm EST on 8/30/06 to my home phone in zip code area 48532. The eastern Indian sounding female asked to speak with my husband and did not care to leave a message. I asked to be removed from the company's calling list and was hung up on.

I have gotten many calls from this number that started a few days ago. They call around 9:30am and have called may times after that. This is really annoying. They only call my cell phone. According to my caller-id I recieved this call around 9:23am today. There was a pop up that had FREE GRANT WRITING software on it and I only filled out the form after seeing that you had to pay shipping for it. Erased it. So after that I copied the HTTP address and blocked it obviously its had a tracking cookie so I phished it out with spybot could be autodialer stuff. Do not call this number and report it on the National Do Not Call List. Your local Atty Gen's won't help you but find out anyways.

I was called twice by this number in two days. Once at 10 a.m., the other at 10:45 a.m. the next day. Both times, there was a hangup as soon as I picked up. I called back, and like others have said, the line said "This extension is currently unavailable".

I had a missed call on my cell and it was this number. They called me this morning at 8 AM. I haven't tried calling them back but wanted to see who it was. That's how I found this site. Now I know not to answer. My zip code is 15137.

Asked for "Hammed". This is about the 10th time they've called. I've explained repeatedly that there isn't and never has been a "Hammed" at this number. They keep calling. When I started to explain this time, they hung up on me.

Got a phone call from this number today at 8:40 pm, it is the same scam from an 800 number that called me a couple of weeks ago, I told him I was not interested and that I told the other people who called the same thing he said sorry and hung up.

i got 2 calls from this number, one at around 1:30pm and one around 3:30pm. i did not answer, because i didn't reconize the number. i know it was a scam only because I googled it and found this site.

I spoke with a woman who had a foreign accent sounded either east indian or carribean who was was very pushy saying i filled out form online about a grant. I asked her to remove my info and not to call me again. She still insisted on trying to sell me this grant. I had to be very curt with her to stop her presentation. Two days later they called again but i did not answer.

Started calling skype phone even after being told that they are to remove number and do not call again.

I got a call from this number (301-392-8230) on 8/22/06 at 05:45 p.m. to my cell phone. I answered it and they said They had a Grant kit they wanted to send me through the mail. After asking me for my credit or debit card info. to cover the shipping, I replied that I do not give my information over the phon. I told them I would send a check by mail if he could give me an address to send it to. Obviously, he said he couldn't do that. I knew then, this was a scam. The guy ended up hanging up on me while I was i n mid-sentence. My zip code is 42303

This company called slightly after 8 am this morning and again just after 11:40 am. When I try to call-back the number I get a prerecorded message stating; " this extention is not avalible at this time." I have chalked it up to telemarketers realizing that if the call had been important the caller would have left a message, which they never do.

This foreign sounding lady was pushy saying i filled out form online about a grant and that i was stupid after i told her i didnt want to take part in her scam. she said i wasted her time and i needed the grant and that i badly needed money. i think not

This number started calling my cell phone at 8:30 a.m. and finally stopped at around 11 a.m.. Tried calling the number back and it said the extension is not available at this time.

We have gotten calls from this number as late as midnight.
