I got a call from Frat ORD police from the number 516-453-5625. Another number to add to the collection. I didn't get to the phone in time, but they didn't leave a message either.

I got a call today from 281 763 7532, a fast talking person, soliciting monies for the police officers. This person emphasized how it was so very inportant to donate and to make the monies available to the officers immediately. Then request some type of debit/credit card from me. This is the second time I've gotten a call from this group. Does anyone know anything about this group. Are they on the up and up or just someone else trying to take advantage of people that are willing to give to a worthy cause. I tried calling the number back got a disconnect recording.

I recieved a call at 12:50 PM from Frat Orch Police however when I tried to pick up I recieved a dial tone. I then called the number back and it did not identify themselves as the so called police dept. When I called the number the IVR said that if I know my parties extention dial it now or dial zero for an operator. When I dialed zero the call disconnected.

I did not answer the call.

Asked for the woman of the house, told him no such person then went into speech about how lucky we are to have the protection of the police,I cut him short an told him this was an illegal attempt to collect donations..and hung up on him, hope you do the same.

I told the guy I didn't give money to anyone on the phone or at the door. However, I would give him my email address and would decide after I had time to vet the organization. He declined to accept my offer! LOL, when the org doesn't want you to take time to check them out, that's how you know the org isn't real.

I got a call from 281-763-7522 yesterday, caller id shows Frat Ord Police. They didn't leave any message. Last night,I reported this number to donotcall.gov. It's definitely a scam. I tried to call them back today...but it says, This number is temporarily unavailable.

i just got a call from FRAT ORD POLICE today. didnt answer the phone because they were identified in my CID. My wife and I were harassed by these callers before and really, like what other people say here and on other forums, they dont take NO for an answer. Fortunately, we got over them years back and I dont fall for their scams anymore. They've been investigated and exposed before and proven to be non-affiliated with legitimate police charity organizations. They are former police officers who scam people of their trust and money. dont fall victim to these criminals!

I too had yet another phone call today, let it go to answering machine, no message as usual. So, I decided to look at the history on caller id - and sure enough all these numbers have shown up with either Frat Ord Police or TX FOP, not even sure where some of these area codes are from: 281-763-7522 / 281-984-2218 / 281-763-7527 / 469-718-0642 / 469-718-0659 / 304-295-1898 / 972-769-5168 / 630-505-3008. Good Grief - Enough is Enough! Glad I found this site....

You can ask them to take you off your call list, but you will have to probably do it each time someone calls as it may only remove you from that persons list and the callers rotate. I dont donate, anymore (i did once, and seems they just called more and asked more). They keep on with their pitch and makes me feel bad to say no, and call me paranoid but i feel rude isnt the way to go.

TX FOP or frat ord police and Texas Fraternal order of police...they will ask you for a donation (which is non-charitable for income tax purposes) for families of jured/fallen policemen. They will call you constantly and when they start with their story and made me feel like i was obligated, they just keep talking on. I also get calls from TX state troopers assciation too - this could also be them. Usually CID says FOP so i know its them and let it ring but now i see they have changed it up. They call my home phone usually in the evening and now my business phone just today (home based). They may offer you a sticker and a calender if you donate but they don't accept just $1 or $2 dollars. Sorry, but they are getting out of hand as i get calls on a weekly basis to the point that i screen every one with CID. No one likes to have thier dinner disturbed with solicitors. Hope this enlightens some of you, it's your choice to donate....or not.

I got a call from Frat Ord Police but no area code showed, which I am assuming is a 304 area code which that is my calling area and the number was 342-3339 as I said no area code showed up only assuming its a 304 area code Just received the call at 9:16 on May 19, 2010.....

no message,i told them to take our number off their call list , that we were on the dont call list and they said they couldnt take our number off their call list.

I received a call from them today as well. I didnt answer the call like most. I thought that I would look them up online first before preceding to call them. Sounds similar to the Tx State Trooper Assc, wanting money.

Just received a call from this number, and my husband just gave them our exact home address, so they could "send" him a form to fill out for his "donation". I started pulling my hair out when I over heard him telling this stranger our address.

Why doesn't the phone company make this phone number they are calling from inactive? Seems like a real easy fix if you ask me.

I just got an phone call from the Frat Ord Police and I got to admite I thought I was in trouble for the word 'police' was in it. That is real f*cking low using the word 'Police' when they call ya. Don't answer. I didn't. This company will also use TX Fop as well. Just don't answer them when they call. Yea it is an real pain in the ass. Plus I also put myself on the 'Do No Call List' and these f*ckers are still calling. So if ya get an call from these people don't worry. Your not in trouble. Just don't answer and go back to ya life. =) Take care yall.

just got a call from FRAT ORD POLICE from 281-984-2218. it is best not to answer because some of these number in and around Houston, Texas are calling to get use of your number for their own personal use and can only get the access when you answer. they did it to my parent and ended up with hundreds of dollars in phone calls from all over the united states and oversea charged to their phone number. they had a hard time getting the phone company to remove these charges. it was a long drawn out process and even bigger hassle and headache. so please beware of the scams these people are pulling on people unknowingly.

Was just looking up this number cause curiosity got the best of me. I prolly got called from this FOP twice before but I never bother answering it. I just turn off the phone ring :3

Same thing they keep calling from different numbers but same caller ID; we have not answered and will not answer. We do not respond to fraudulent calls.

I got a call from then and thought it was the police I did not answer though and when I googled it this page came up I wish people like this will grow up one day.

I don't know about anyone else, but I signed up for the Do Not Call List and so far - well - IT'S NOT WORKING! Seriously, I'm sure there's a lot of us out there that signed up for the DO NOT CALL, but does anyone bother following instructions? Hardly. And you would think that a department from the police would follow the DO NOT CALL instructions, but sadly no. Whatever. Makes me tired.

my phond rang this evening and the caller id said frat ord police..didn't pick up.went 2 my answering machine..and some weird noise came over it..almost like a fax machine but different.so i googeled it.and it shows this name for different places..then this site came up..so i'm very thankful for this site..it answerd my ??'s.lets hope these people don't call back..

Using "POLICE" in their telephone caller ID, will insure most people will answer their telephone calls. I almost did. This is simply another ploy to get people to donate to an organization that will keep all, or most of the donations. Don't give them a penny. This is an underhanded way to get people to give them money for their own benefit.

I get 4-5 calls a day from them, they never leave a message. I want them to stop calling.

This is a fraudulent organization that calls pretending to seek donations but they work on behalf of debt collectors (such as Van Ru Credit Corp) to seek your bank account information on the pretense that it is a limited withdrawal for a donation. The unscrupulous debt collectors then take your account information to drain your bank account or max-out your crdit card.

They called and asked for the lady of the house. I asked what this was for and they hung up. Strange.

They're calling to help the Texas Fraternal Order of Police with their fundraising efforts. I called the number back and was directed to their customer service department. They can answer your questions, help with donating, etc. You can also go to texasfop.org for more information or to contact them.

The FOP are doing great things to help police officers and their families.

I'm with Joyce, I'm not in Houston and I do not donate to the Houston fund. I donate to the charities of my choice. I don't answer any more but I have a pad with pencil and paper by the phone with these numbers, when I get a call from one of these numbers I pick up the receiver and hang up. If feels good! Don't bother talking to them some of the people that call are nasty.

Someone from TX FOP Called today 11/16/09 at 5:12 pm asking to speak with my brother. The caller ID indicated the phone # 281-763-7522. The caller calimed he is calling from Texas Partner Order of Police. I told him he is not home and asked why he asked. He paused, made an lame excuse and hung up.

They called on 10-30-09 from number 214-453-6782, said TX FOP on caller ID. Requesting donations for some sort of Texas police officers fund. Told them I wasn't interested. Called again on 11-13-09 from number 281-463-7522, said TX FOP on caller ID so I didn't answer phone. Rang 3 times and they hung up. Different phone numbers, same business.

They called on 10-30-09 at 7:25pm. Said TX FOP on caller ID but the phone number was from 214-453-6782. They were asking for donations for Texas police officers fund of some sort. I was barely listening because I knew I wasn't going to donate. They called again on 11-13-09 at 9:15am and it said TX FOP with phone number of 281-763-7522 on caller ID so I didn't answer it. Rang 3 times & they hung up. Different phone numbers, same business.

They just called me and as I was looking to see who in the dickins' it was the phone quit ringing. Cool ;-)

I got the call but... WHO WAS PHONE!?

This number called me today for the Texas State Fraternal Order for Police. Whatever. Anyway, after receiving 2-3 calls a day for the past year from very similiar organizations, (Puppy Patrol Law Enforcement, Iraq Vets something another , etc - it's always something official sounding) I finally called my local police department to file harassment charges. To my dismay, I learned that if they are with a supposed non-profit, the "do not call" doesn't apply. Also, I learned that they can call under all of these various organizations as long as they are giving as little as 5% to them. I finally filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office. I was told I was un-American when I said no to the Vets and when I told him to stop bugging me, he yelled "STOP BUGGING ME!" and hung up on me! If you are being harassed, please file a complaint. Do it for the grandma's and grandpa's out there that finally give in just so the people will leave them alone.

Weird weird....I never answer calls I don't know. It rang twice and then stopped (tx fop found). Then, another call but with my phone number as a caller ID..I answered, a guy asked for my husband. I hung up!

Phone rang, when answer machine came on, caller hung up. If this is the Texax Troopers
association, I am not impressed with the way they do business. They have in the past 3 years
operated just like a telemarket, not been honest about the reason for their call, and when
asked to be removed from their call list they have failed to do so. When I complained to the
State of Texas, I received a letter back stating that the State of Texas takes care of their
State Troopers by pay and benefits, etc., and do not leave that up to donation requests. My
understanding is that this is the Tx Troopers Museum and totally separate from the State of Texas.

Did not recognize caller, thought it was a sales or political caller, and answered. there was nothing but clicks on the other end, so I hung up. Is this another telemarketing scheme for the TX Troopers Assn.

Good thinkg I am bilingual. I answer in a foreign language and they hang up right away! A great way to get them off your back!
