Who Called Us

warranty, called everyday for weeks, pre-recorded msg. I have added my number to do-not-call list. Filed a complaint also. For me, this number began in January and hasn't shown up in February. Guess they've moved on to calling from new numbers.

When I saw "Houston, TX" as the caller ID I worried that I had offened an old sort-of-a-girlfriend when I quickly answered & hung up, expecting her to call back right away... but the follow-up never came, not even a week later. Ironically, the very reason I'd done the "pick-up & hang-up right away" routine was so that I could switch away from the rather offensive voicemail greeting I had recorded specicically to discourage, guess what?... irritating TELEMARKETERS! At least now I can relax in knowing that I did not offend anyone I'd actually been looking forward to talking with.

Called on my cell phone several times - didn't answer cause I didn't recognize the number. Finally looked it up here and found out it was a telemarketing call. I decided to use some of my favorite telemarketing sites to try and get $ from them (junkbusters.com). They finally called again and I answered. The recorded message said the warranty on MY car was about to expire so I pressed 1 to talk to them. After about 3 minutes on hold, a very loud lady picked up and yelled "What is the make, model, and year of your car?" She didn't say the name of the company, verify any of my information or anything. Her loudness and boldness through me off. I asked, "What the reason for the call was?" She immediately hung up.

This was a dumb question on my part, I should have just made up some car to tell her. I guess the way the law works is they can call us and just hang up if we ask them any questions they don't want to answer. They haven't called back since (good) and it been about a week.

This line belongs to a corporation NATIONAL ONE. The carrier is VERIZON operating as a DBA. I have place a complaint with VERIZON and this is presently under investigation so I was told. I just got done spending 14.95 to get as much detail as they have been placing calls to my wife while I'm not home. Looked up some info on corporations using NATIONAL ONE name, but they all seem to be on the up and up......................

This number keeps calling my womans home, it is registered to a coorporation NATIONAL ONE...

Called me on my cell, on 14 January 2008, and didn't leave a voicemail.

Two calls from this same number... one for me one for my wife. Both recordings on our cell phone voicemail about car warranties!

A recording "warning" me that this is the second attempt (to get me to buy an extend vehicle warranty). Hung up before message go too far. I also received this exact same recording from 630-689-2846 several times so far...

Call came in on my cell phone, was expecting a call from my daughter so I didn't bother to look at the caller ID. If I had, I would have noticed that it was an out-of-state call (which I would not normally answer) and it was a recorded message which I hung up on immediately-I don't waste my minutes on this kinda crap!

I've gotten more than 5 calls today from this company from not only this number but one from Illinois as well(630689-2846) both are the same thing wanting the make year and model of your car and saying that your warranty was up... my car is paid off and has been for about 10 years.. cant call back cause you get a busy signal..

These dudes left the same bizarre cutoff message (about being out of warranty and needing to renew and that I shouldn't make the mistake of driving without a warranty) on my cell and work phone (both unlisted numbers) within a couple hours of each other.

I looked at the FCC site that Angeliqe mentions, fcc.gov , and am going to fill out a complaint there too.

just got a random call from this number...so i looked it up and found this...wow...it's kinda creepy.

I have been receiving virtually daily calls from this number, often numerous times and sometimes as late as 9:00pm.
I normally do not answer but did this time and got only silence, will not be doing that again.

i missed the call so i immediatly called the number. i pushed the number to talk to a repasentative. The representative asked for the name and make of my car, but not my name. already feeling this was a scam since my warranty 5 more years, I said, "I am a little confused, I dont understand who you guys are? why would you ask for my car year and make before you ask my name? (he must have caller id). he said thank you and hung up.

Called on my cell. Did not leave voice mail.

I had the same issue as Pat a few down, pressed one (because I always inform the auto-callers that i am no-call and I am prosecuting on the next call from them) he hung up when I said he could not have make and model. I am currently reporting this number/company to the better business bureau.

same thing.... has been calling me on and off for like 4 months.... picked up once, voice recorder told me to press 1 to speak with someone. I did not bc Ive heard of bad phone scams where they charge you.. but this keeps happening. really pissing me off!

Called left message..If you want to talk to a rep. push #1 called back and it was busy. If they want to sell me warranty on a 12 year old suv. That would be great.

I called the FBI, FCC, who then sent me to the FCC. Nothing will be done to stop this without complaints from you, the citizens. Call 877-382-4357 this is the FTC complaint line number, listen to the options, and follow through with a live agent. Please everyone involved call, lets try and stop these frauds before they strike again.

Someone in my family is very ill. Any of us, including my very elderly mother, answer the phone, and fear the worst every time. These people need to be arrested and tortured.

I just got this call and it said my car warrenty expired and you need to renue it before its too late and it stated if you don't you will get in trouble complete scam!!!

they called and my phone vibrated for less then a second and i called back and it just beeped then i looked it up here and i dont know why they would call me i already have a warranty and i live in maryland not texas

No one take these people seriously. THEY ARE LIARS. THEY ARE TRYING TO STEAL YOUR MONEY. Ive been getting calls about a car warranty as well. IM 20 and ive never owned a car. Just call your phone company and have their number blocked. Also, you can contact the FCC and report this. If enough people report it, they will be investigated.

No Name in the message ID with phone #1 281 520 3761. Look up online shows Houston, TX origin; also Harris County and a 77002 zipcode. I never answer a call I cannot identify. After reading these posts, mine seems a good idea.

they want to sell some sort of automotive warranty. when i asked what car they were selling it for, they did not know. half way through me asking the name of the company, they hung up. returning the call yields a busy signal.

called both mine and my other halfs phones, i pressed one and heard a bunch of voices in the back round. Then a mans voice asked me for my make and model, i asked him which vehicle the warranty was for, he told me to hold while he looked up the information and then he hung up on me.

Called my wireless phone once and hung up

They called but I did not know who it was, so I did not pick up. No message was left, so I'm very glad I did not waste my wireless phone air time. I've had my wireless phone number for years, so do not know why they called me.

Received call from this number. Said warranty on cr was about to expire and this was the last contact. Knew that my warranty was not about to expire. The asked for the make and model of my car. Told them that they should have that info if they were calling me about my warranty. Said they had mailed info to me which they have not. Tried to get information on my address so they could retrienve my information. When I asked the caller to give me the name of the person they wanted to speak to receive some BS about having to retrieve info and call me back. Kept interupting me. When I told him to stop interrupting me and answer my questions he hung up. This is obviously a scam. Do not answer any of their questions or give them any personal information.

An automated voice said press 1 to be added to the "do not call list" or 2 for agent, I pressed 2 and a man came on and asked for the vehicle year make and model, I told him and he hung up. Every time I call back the line is busy.

Store the number in your cell, and name it "SCAM" then change the ring tone to 'silent'

I had this number call me with an automated voice telling me my vehicle warrenty was about to expire and I need to renew it. When I pushed one to talk to a representitive I got through to someone (suprisingly!)and I proceeded to ask him what this was all about. I told him I had no idea what vehicle he was talking about (as I have several) and he told me that they had sent me notices in the mail about it. I said I had not recieved them and asked where he was sending them. He ignored me. I asked him where he was located because I recognized it as a Texas number and I did live in Dallas at one point. When I asked him that, he hung up on me. I guess it wasn't that important after all.

It is a scam - they try selling you a extended warrenty - and than ask for a credit card number. Also - the number orginates from a cell provider. Which most likely means that they have a private network that uses a private server. The people working for them mostlikely can be based from any PC with a internet connection and a software like skype (anything that offers internet calling). Goto esupport.fcc.gov and report the number.

Same jerk has called me 3 times. Didn't recognize the number so I've blown him off, since picking up costs me money on my cell phone plan. It really irks me that I don't have the ability to block this number.

I don't know who these people are. They called my cell phone (not sure how they got the number) and hung up. I called back and received a busy signal each time. If they are a car warranty company I don't know why they are calling me. I don't even have a license to have a car to have a warranty on, so I'm certain I never signed up for anything that would signal phone solicitation for anything vehicle-related. I want a number to call these people back so that they can remove me from their database. Anyone have a number?

They're adding this number to their call-from numbers this week. They call every day, up to four times in one day. They call from many different numbers, most often from a 352 area code number, but all different area codes are used. Today, it's been two times, but the first from the 352 number. This has been going on for months. I'm starting to track all of these calls and got 9 between Mon am and Fri noonish one week in Dec. All are a recording. There is never a person, even if I don't hang up. I should not have to follow their instructions and enter any info into my phone in order not to be harrassed every day for years. Others who do interact with them, are still harrassed. If only I had a nickel for every call I've ever received from them, but by now, with all the interruptions and harrassments, I need much more than a nickel per call to pay for my grief. If anyone ever succeeds from getting off their list by pressing either or both of the numbers they say to press, please let us know.

these ***holes call everyday...they claim they want to renew an extended warranty...i pushed 1 and talked to some terrorist that claimed they do not have a website or an 800 number...Told him it's kinda hard to sell warranties without a company website...He told me he was in Atlanta but according to the caller id he was calling from Houston Texas!!

Got message on home phone (number listed) to "press one." Odd: got same number showing on my cell, and ONLY person who has number is my wife. Weird.

We have been receiving calls from this number for a couple months, several times a week. The recording says press 1 to speak with a representantive and 2 to be put on the do not call list. After pressing 2 for the past few weeks, I decided to push 1 today. After being on hold for 10 minutes, some teenager picked up and said he would put me on the do not call list. We'll see, not holding my breath!
